  • "We had a great meal and delightful time at Rosebud's prior to the Hawks game. We were disappointed that we left our jersey's in the car because everyone else was sporting their hockey sweaters. Patrick was an absolute delight!! Thanks you for a wonderful pre-game warm up!!!"

  • "The food was fantastic. The Chilean Sea Bass and the Lake Michigan white fish were both AMAZINGLY good. The portions were HUGE. The wait staff were fantastic. When we sang Happy Birthday to our Mother, the whole second floor dining area sang along with us. It truly was like a big Italian family meal. WONDERFUL! My only concern was that when I made the reservation I explained it was for my Mother's 75th. I wish they would have checked with me regarding her ability to maneuver steps. They put us up stairs and it was very difficult and painful for her to get up and down the steps. In they end she did it. Thank you Rosebud you helped make our Mother's celebration a wonderful one."

  • "The staff is very friendly in greeting the guests and being attentive to any thing that is needed. The food is delicious! Loved the eggplant parmigiana, chicken milanese, chopped salad, and rigatoni alla vodka! All were excellent dishes. It's a very consistent place and that is what I like about it. I hope to return soon!"

  • "We dined at Rosebud and I have to say the sauce was phenomenal..asked for extra bread to finish it up. Only downfall was my mussels were not served properly. I think it was more a lack of understanding than anything! I would still go back! Eggplant park was excellent!"

  • "Rosebud on Taylor is always a delicious experience. This is our go to place for special occasions. For an enjoyable Italian dinner this is the place to visit. Servings are large so plan to get 2 meals from this dinner. Our only complaint is the lighting is very, very dim."

  • "the food we ordered was very tasty. the service was off, she did not provide the specials, she forgot drinks/food, and we needed to go fid her to get the check...."

  • "I took my boyfriend to this restaurant for his birthday. This was our second visit here. The ambience, service, and food were excellent. The waitress gave us a list of specials but non contained my choice of meat. Due to my diet needs, the waitress made one of the specials to fit my needs. In addition, she also brought my boyfriend a complimentary dessert that I could share that wouldn't affect my allergies. Overall, a great experience and would definitely go back again."

  • "As always, the Rosebud on Taylor was fantastic. My parents were born in Italy. The Rosebud always brings back the smells, and most importantly, the flavors of home!"

  • "The service and the food at The Rosebud is excellent. I liked the darker atmosphere but it was a little difficult to read the menu! The menu has a decent selection and the specials offered sounded wonderful, however I thought everything was a little over priced. I would recommend this restaurant and I would go back again. When they found out we were going to a concert at The United Center, the restaurant paid for us to take the shuttle bus that leaves from the corner across the street and the manager called across the street to let them know we were coming so the bus didn't leave without us. Nice!"

  • "We had a great time... We where there 29 years ago for a first date on Valentine's Day. We wanted to repeat the experience. The ambiance was incredible, along with the food."

  • "We are a family who likes to talk and humorous, we like to make our server feel comfortable with us. Our server was too serious and did not smile at all. He was too monotonic. That to my family was like he does not enjoy his profession/job and made us feel ike we were rushed. Bus person friendlier than server. Good food though."

  • "I've always walked past this place but never stopped. So glad we did. Food was incredible and portions were huge! Lobster was cooked to perfection, not tough or chewy. Steaks were great and muscles were fantastic. Thank you!"

  • "Great hidden gem of a restaurant. Didn't show up on any "best of Chicago Italian" restaurant searches but the food was superb. Bar made great and very creative drinks, very nice wine list, great menu (although I wish it was as descriptive on the dishes as the website menu). Our server Trey was very knowledgeable about the specials, drinks, wine etc and was very friendly. Encouraged us to take our time and enjoy dinner and our date. Nice dark, romantic ambiance and although it was crowded when we arrived the noise level in the restaurant wasn't bad at all. Would definitely recommend!"

  • "Our food was very good; especially the stuffed white fish special, which was outstanding (although the serving was plenty for two - I would have appreciated being warned of that). Our waitress was personalbe and knowledgeable and all the courses were timed well, however, we had to ask for a wine list and for parmesean cheese to be brought to the table. A slight annoyance in an overall enjoyable meal. We were a party on 7 on a Sunday evening, when the place was quite busy."

  • "We have loved rosebud for many years and it never disappoints. Every meal we have is excellent, our service is always impeccable and never obtrusive. As large as the plates are, it is always excellent to take home. We love rosebud and spend several special occasions a year there (coming from the burbs no less). The food amazes."

  • "I live in Chicago, and my parents were visiting from out of town. They like nice dinners and eating at good places when traveling/on vacation. I took them here along with 4 of my friends, and we all left very happy with our meal, service, and each of us had doggy bags enough for the next night's meal -- they are very generous with their portions!! Overall -- Great place, great portions, great food. Definitely would recommend to anyone, especially trying to host your family/parents/big group/etc."

  • "I love the relaxed feel of this place - nice for conversion in a large dining room. I definitely would go back to try other dishes. The arrabiata shrimp appetizer was amazing and the lamb chops with potatoes was tender, tasty and delicious. We loved the lobster and filet. Service was well-timed and friendly, wines were a little pricey .""
