Diner Reviews
  • "They had closed for business permanently and failed to notify any of their New year's customers with reservations, or even to notify Open Table. Huge disappointment in what had been a reputable restaurant."

  • "A nice surprise in small Angel Fire. Wonderful entree choices, with spot on service. The new management has made an impressionable change and it shows. A bit of a splurge, but well worth the change from pizza and resort food."

  • "Roasted Clove is probably the best attraction in Angel Fire, next to the ski resort and newly renovated Country Club. The food is among the best in the Enchanted Circle. We've been going there for years and always look forward to it when we are in town. It's one of our "must do's" when we're in the area."

  • "By far the best restaurant in Angel Fire if not the entire area."

  • "I have been coming to the Roasted Clove for many years and enjoy the feeling of warmth and comfort that it imparts. The wine list is wonderful....even by the glass. Something in the blackened porkchop plate was very hot and a bit too much for me. Had I known in advance how hot it was, I would have ordered something else. I asked my waitress to make a reservation for Sat. evening as well, but she never reappeared at my table to do so. There were 4 tables occupied at the time. I dined elsewhere on Sat. eveing, but I will be back."

  • "The setting was lovely. Very romantic. But I took my 10 year old for her birthday, so it was a little off the mark for that event. I ordered the salmon my daughter had the filet mignon. Her mashed potatoes were really salty. The meat was a little tough. After ordering my entree, I was told the kitchen had run out of the salmon. I chose the goat cheese salad and steak tacos instead. The tacos tasted like something I make at home with Old El Paso taco seasoning...but oil soaked. The salad dressing was waaay to heavy on the balsalmic with very little goat cheese. However, the wine was good and the service was great. Our waiter, David was attentive and kind. But I'm not sure I would return."

  • "The really good news is that the Roasted Clove is working superbly with owner chef, Tom Bowles, present only weekends. Chef Scott Allen is clearly maintaining Tom's quality and innovation. We were worried what might happen to our experience when Tom wasn't on the premises. We have a second home in Angel Fire and The Roasted Clove is a big part of why Angel Fire is so special to us."

  • "We are "locals" and eat at The Roasted Clove whenever we can. We have dined at fine restaurants all over the country and this restaurant in little Angel Fire is such a great surprise - as good as (and better than) the ones in the big cities."

  • "Happened to be staying just a short stroll from the Roasted Clove so we checked it out for dinner one night. All food was excellent and our server was very attentive as well. Should be noted Beer and Wine only. Not a real issue if you dont mind drinking things other than cocktails. Will definitely be here for a meal on out next trip back. And if you see/hear something that has the raspberry chipole, GO FOR IT!!"

  • "The food was Amazing, my husband and I ordered the Filet Mignon and it was perfect!! By far the best food we have ever had, the dessert's were amazing as well. The food is pricey but absolutely worth it!"

  • "Always enjoy the food. Service could have been better. Waitress was much more attentive to local patrons. Our table was much too close to other diners which made it a little uncomfortable for this type of dining."

  • "Great location & WONDERFUL FOOD! We had the Elk, and a filet mignon, wine & finished with the white chocolate bread pudding. The staff was very helpful & courteous. We did make a reservation based on their recommendation. I DEFINITELY RECOMMEND DINING AT THE ROASTED CLOVE!!"

  • "We have always enjoyed having dinner at The Roasted Clove. Monday night was not up to the usual outstanding standards. Our sever was slow and as she was pouring our wine, spilled/splashed quite a lot on my husband's shirt. Said she was sorry, but never even offered to smooth over the mistake. There were four of us, 2 bottles of wine, 3 entrees, dessert, etc..... Very disappointed!"

Warm and cozy atmosphere, professional service, and most important, awesome food! Gourmet selections for adults - my husband loves the bacon wrapped filet - and our kids love the many options on the Kids Menu. Desserts are superb as well. All around great place to eat!"
