The Riverhead ProjectAte here for Mother's Day.Ate here for Mother's Day. The menu included some interesting choices for brunch. The French Toast as a hit and I loved the spicy bok choy side that came with my fried chicken. Also I found the portions to be quite substantial. Also it's a cute location - it appears to be a former bank. I will be back.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMoasis between the forksOne of our favorites. An island gem! Open all year long. Lots of windows, great food and setting. Great service.4/27/2013 12:00:00 AMStarted with the guacamoleStarted with the guacamole and chips which were okay but the chips were hot and fresh. My wife had the buttermilk fried chicken that was really good. I had the black cod that I thoroughly enjoyed. Service was excellent. Music in the room was hip and not annoying. Staff was attentive and professional. Dining room was sophisticated and well done. Dessert was creme brule. Told a few friends about it and looking forward to going back. Great to see downtown Riverhead making real progress in food and entertainment.4/26/2013 12:00:00 AMLoved the food, the cremeLoved the food, the creme brûlée was amazing. Very nice staff and quick service. Great experience!!4/19/2013 12:00:00 AMLOVE tRP, aka The Riverhead ProjectWe are regulars at tRP and love it. It has a city vibe as well as its own very unique presence. The owner literally put Greenport dining on the map with The Frisky Oyster, now he has done the same for downtown Riverhead. The menu never gets stale as it is always changing within any given season using local resources and offers dishes rarely seen elsewhere. It was originally a mid-century bank and they have made fantastic use of the space: wine dinners and dinner and a movie nights in the "vault," to mention just a couple. There's a Book Club, too. They have a great website with photos so you can see for yourself, theriverheadproject.com. Anyone in the mood for great food in an unique setting should check them out, you won't be sorry!4/19/2013 12:00:00 AMWe visited The Riverhead ProjectWe visited The Riverhead Project for lunch this week. The $19 three course power lunch was excellent and the portions were good size. If you are looking for a place to have a nice sit down lunch in a quiet atmospkere I would highly recommend tRP!3/28/2013 12:00:00 AMkinda forgot i was in riverhead...ikinda forgot i was in riverhead...it was pricy though. dont know when i would go back3/23/2013 12:00:00 AMRiverhead GemAn exceptional restaurant, The Riverhead Project features a regularly changing menu with truly innovative cuisine. Many of the ingredients are locally sourced from eastern Long Island farms and purveyors. The decor at The Riverhead Project (the site of a former bank) is chic and minimalist, but not stark... lots of glass, subdued colors, candle light... giving this spot a "special occasion", romantic feel. The young wait staff is attentive and efficient, and if asked will offer their opinion of the various dishes. Near the entrance, there are windows onto the kitchen, and I always enjoy taking a quick peek in there.
The Riverhead Project is somewhat of an experiment in the downtown Riverhead district; worth supporting!2/16/2013 12:00:00 AM
