"Buffet was extremely picked over to the point of looking and tasting nasty. Waitress was rude, I was not going to leave much of a tip for her because of this but gratuity was already included on the tab!! Only nice thing was the location but that doesn't in anyway make up for the nasty food and poor service."

"We came back to River Club for Easter since it was such a good experience on Christmas. Unfortunately, our server was not attentive (& the restaurant was not jammed) to our beverages & the plates that we kept stacking up on our table. She took it upon herself to add 18% gratuity to our check (that's ridiculously high for a buffet, not to mention poor service). I wish the restaurant would have had signs out on the deck for people to stay away from the male goose who appeared to be protecting his mate & a nest. They should have used the chairs to block people from getting too close to him; he kept hissing but people kept going out & letting children go near him, too. Some people don't understand what "wild" animal means, I guess."

"Kudos to all who made this a memorable occasion. I was visiting from out of town and took my family out for dinner on the patio. Excellent food, service attentive, not obtrusive, beautiful view of downtown Columbus fron the deck. I'll be back."

"Overall, a nice night out. The food was tasty (even though a mix up in the kitchen left the walnut/berry coating off of our dish) and reasonably priced. Service was friendly but not intrusive, and they did comp us dessert because of the mixup with the entree. The wine list was very limited, especially for by-the-glass options. Ambiance could have been very romantic, with the ski-lodge feel, fireplace n the center,and beautiful view of the skyline over the Sciota, but the noise from the wedding reception being held in the party room adjacent to the dining room diminished the effect considerably. Maybe that explains why the dining room was nearly empty on a Saturday night! Call ahead to avoid parties."
