Private Party Facilities: A wine room adjacent the main dining room serves as the the private dining and party space for The Rieger. Seating up to 40 people comfortably, a separate patio space connects adding an additional 12 outdoor seats. 2 long, 16 ft hardwood tables made of salvaged cypress give this room character. Each table seats up to 18, and an additional table for 6 is available. Separate menus are available, family style service, punch service, and entertainment are all options. "Arguably one of the best salads my wife and I ever ate, the 'Frisee' with a pickled habanero vinaigrette, pork cheek ham, grains galore bread, and farm egg was a bright and textured (quiet) explosion of flavor. We tried everything from frogs legs (doesn't taste like chicken - more like a dark fish... like catfish) to pork soup (yum!) to their dinner special (a white fish called Copia - oddly, an uneven dish to be sure) and dessert (a special involving lime citrus ice cream and short bread cookies)... an amazing taste-bud tour de force!

Service was attentive and energetic and welcoming. The bar was well appointed and well versed in their offerings. Actually, I know this is a point of pride for this group. It should be.

"Not just "fit for foodies" but also fun. Great server knowledgeable about the dishes and keeping tabs on us without intruding. All the dishes were great -- the vegetarian plate, the rabbit, the octopus and the hangar steak. And we so enjoyed our absinthe too!"

"We ordered the grilled octopus, rabbit, and short ribs. Each was excellent. It was a lovely dinner, except for the noise level. Almost too noisy for conversation, but there was a lot of energy in the room!"

"The Rieger is a quaint restaurant that has a bistro feel. Food and atmosphere were great, they featured local art on the wall. We had a reservation for 4 and everyone enjoyed the meal they ordered. Service was excellent and knowledgeable of menu and wines. We will go back to the Rieger."
