It was amazing! The musician played the piano and an acoustical guitar so beautifully. And he had a list of songs to choose from for request. As always the food was awesome. Sarah, our server, remembered us from 4 months ago. My husband had the pork chop and a side of brussel sprouts. It was so tender. And the flavoring on the brussel sprouts of bacon pieces have converted me from keeping them on the "I'm not going to eat that" list. I had the special which was a grilled Salmon fillet with sauteed vegetables. Great flavor, easily flaked with my fork. We love to go to the restaurant when we have a special occasion to celebrate and have never been disappointed. This is the first time that we have gone when the roses are blooming for spring.......it was absolutely exquisite. I have introduced many friends to this fabulous winery and on this occasion we took some family members and once again was not disapointed. I like how they bring a basket for your purse, never known anywhere else that does that and it adds a caring touch. I also like how as a member we get a little taster appetizer that makes you feel special. The girls at the check point too are very sweet and professional and very accommodating. I highly recommend dining at Ponte and winetasing too - you will love the experience. I ordered flowers and they were delivered and placed on our table prior to our arrival. The afternoon was on the cool side but the heaters made if comfortable to eat even on an overcast day. The service was excellent throughout our meal. The food was fantastic . I was visiting the area a short while ago and wanted to purchase more of Ponte's spectacular wine along with trying out their restaurant. I did not disappoint and was fabulous in every way. The kitchen was extremely slow getting the food out that day as in the past that has not been the case, but our waiter went above and beyond to take care of us for the delay in food service. Last year we went to the buffet brunch but this year we ate outside and ordered from their regular menu. From start to finish, everything was perfect. Our server, Sarah, was friendly and attentive. There was live music provided by Brian who took requests and played songs from a great list that covered all of the genres. He was entertaining without being intrusive. Of course, the highlight of the day was the visit to our table by the Easter Bunny! Our two-year-old grandson absolutely loved it and we got some great photos. We were so impressed with Ponte that we decided to join the wine club after enjoying a wine tasting with Lauren in the tasting room. It continues to be our favorite treasure in the middle of the growing wine country in Temecula. However, this time our service was surprisingly slow - we waited about 45 minutes for our lunch in a half full restaurant. Although very pleasant, it would have been nice if the waitstaff would have come over to our table to explain the delay and perhaps apologize for the unusually slow service. Reservations were at 1:00pm and we were promptly seated. Wine and food were excellent but is was quickly noticed that management had elected to run a tight and short staff. Server was very pleasant but unable to properly attend to her tables as she had to many to properly serve, wine empty and reorder took time. Plates on table took time to remove when completed. Long time to inquire about desert and finally Lon time to receive bill.
Overall I would recommend but would hope service staffing is reviewed. The food is impeccable, service is outstanding, and the winery experience is great as well.
