The Restaurant at AlderbrookWe have had two memorableWe have had two memorable brunches at Alderbrook this year, Easter and Mother's Day. Easter was a wonderful day and the hotel is to be congratulated for making it such a wonderful time for the kids. The egg hunt and decorating made it extra special and the events were enjoyed by all. The buffet was wonderful and the seafood (shrimp, oysters, salmon, mussels) was particularly good.
Because of the great time we had on Easter we returned for Mother's Day and we were all glad we did. The food was as good if not better than before and we were delighted to have the same server, Aleiha. She was extremely personable and helpful as before, keeping our drinks topped off and readying our table for the next serving- many thanks!5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMOver the years we have enjoyedOver the years we have enjoyed quite a few meals at the Alderbrook, where we stay when we visit old friends in the area. This evening was no exception. The food was delicious and beautifully presented, enough that we took a reverent moment to enjoy the visual impact of each dish before digging in. The restauant's setting is incomparable, and we are glad that they work to maintain a menu and service that are worthy of the setting. Our server was attentive, patient, and refreshingly droll. All in all a delightful experience.5/10/2013 12:00:00 AMOne Of The Great one'sMy husband and I went to Alderbrook Resort for our 19th wedding anniversary so we wanted something that was romantic and that served great food. Alderbrook is the perfect place, a perfect view of the Olympic mountains with great food and the service was excellent. A up scale place but dress is very casual and a must to visit. We are planning to rent a cottage at some point. A++++++++ across the board.5/6/2013 12:00:00 AMMemorable Anniversary DinnerHad we been ravenous, we could offer a better review. As it was, we had a late lunch in the lounge earlier and weren't able to try a more robust dinner. It was a fabulous menu, however! The chef must be very inventive and well-versed in cuisines from all over.
We had shrimp and Caesar salads and they were very good. The chicken was warm on the Caesar salad, which I appreciate but do not often get when ordering. My husband thought his shrimp salad was excellent, plenty of food there.
Tables for two are a bit small-ish, but the view is utterly breathtaking as we watched dusk approach over the mountains and water.
Thank you for a delightful meal, served by knowledgeable staff.5/3/2013 12:00:00 AMWe ate three meals in theWe ate three meals in the restaurant and ate a buffet lunch provided on the lawn at the resort and devoured great snacks at cocktail hour. The food and service was great at each of these sittings.5/2/2013 12:00:00 AMOutstanding food and service.Outstanding food and service. The Easter brunch was fabulous, the view from the dining room is spectacular. Beautiful.3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMAbsolutely beautiful sceneryAbsolutely beautiful scenery here at the Alderbrook (breakfast & dinner). I ordered the duck carbonara of which was very tasty & a pretty good portion size. I happen to order dessert but was unfortunatley too full to finish (Strawberry Rhubarb Crisp). As for the bar, they were pretty busy but they didn't cut short on the alcohol. Very strong drinks & not for the light hearted. Overall, I had a great experience at the Alderbrook & would attend at a later time.3/23/2013 12:00:00 AM
