  • "The Reserve is a great restaurant to visit in Joliet. The casino has been there a long time and some of the other restaurants have come and gone but The Reserve remains an anchor. The shrimp for the cocktail are fantastic! Fresh, firm, and delish! This last visit was my first using OpenTable. Everything went very smoothly and my entire party enjoyed a wonderful evening."

  • "The food at the reserve is delicious but the prices are too high for what you actually get. We ordered the lobster tempura as an appetizer and although it was very tasty it was definitely not worth $16. I also do not like the fact that everything is a la carte. If I am going to pay $44 for a three piece rack of lamb the least they could do is include one side dish. Even a soup or salad would do."

  • "Great service, great food. Smaller portions of the dinner salads are available for $5!! Try the Steakhouse Meatloaf--it will melt in your mouth! This is a smaller restaurant but the flavor of the dishes is LARGE. This is a great place for a celebration dinner or a romantic dinner. Ask for a booth either in front of the restaurant to see everything that is going on or way in the back for a romantic dinner. My party enjoyed the smaller portion wedge salad, the Steakhouse Meatloaf and the Stuffed Pork Chop. Everything was delicious and the service was excellent. This is a must try!"

  • "Our dinner was very nice, the food was delicious. The portions were satisfying. We took the dessert to go, however that was a disappointment . I checked the package before we left and they put the ice cream on top of the flourless chocolate cake when I specifically asked for it on the side. Our waiter seemed a little perturbed when I pointed out the mistake. He then got me a new one which included the ice cream on the side, instead of a scoop it was a tablespoons worth, it did not include the berries. I did not dare point this out because then he might not of given me any of my dessert."

  • "With the last minute cancellation of Tommy James, we decided to go through with the pre concert dinner. That was the best decision of the evening. Our table was ready as planned and the seating was perfect. Our server Dori, was attentive, cordial, and professional. The menu was well varied and the beverages appropriate. The food was fantastic and coupled with the service and setting, an otherwise disappointing evening was saved."

  • "It seems to me that the Reserve has gone downhill. Out of five of us eating, only one enjoyed the meal. She ordered the Amish chicken which was delicious. My meatloaf was cold and put on two different plates. I told the waitress to have the chef cut the meatloaf in half. I didn't want a thick piece. Instead, she brought me two plates with meatloaf on it. When I went to eat it, it was very cold. She took it back and when I did eat it, I was disappointed in the taste. My sister ordered a shrimp dish with rice that was on special. The waitress said she would get four large prawns. The size of the shrimp were small, and it certainly wasn't worth the price. Two other people ordered filets which also came out cold. Poor meals and service."

  • "This was a last minute decision...and a good one at that. It was the perfect atmosphere for the four of us to start the night. From the savory lobster bisque to the melt in your mouth filet, this meal was fantastic! Oh and don't forget the delicious bellitini to start! I would most definitely recommend this to family and friends. Can't wait to come back and try something else!"

  • "We found the food good, except for the steaks. We each ordered the 16oz New York Strip steaks (medium rare). There are two problems with these steaks: 1. I buy and grill 12 to 16 oz New York Strip steaks just about every week. the size of the steaks served were below the 16 oz size (even accounting for shrinkage during grilling). 2. My wife's wasn't too bad, but I had plenty of grissle throughout my steak, which made it difficult to cut. That said, the resulting cooking temperature (redness) was done exactly as expected for medium rare. Since we go the the Reserve specifically for steak, we are questioning whether or not we will return (comp'd or not)."

  • "Our table was for 7:30 for 4 but it was't ready. One of the food managers, Kevin, was very apologetic and attentive. We waited approximately 1/2 hour to be seated. While having our before dinner drinks, he presented us with a wonderful tray of mixed appetizers for four, as an apology on the house for our patience! This was unexpected, but the correct thing to do! Points for this from us. The dinner was perfect! Every appetizer and entree was on the money! The service was well-timed, and our waitress was delightful. To add to our pleasure, the chef came to our table with our entrees. They know what they are doing at The Reserve. All the special touches, and delicious food, made it a wonderful first, but not last, experience."

  • "We enjoyed a cozy booth seating for our special occasion. The salad was fresh and delicious. Our main entree was lobster tail and let me say it was awesome. Our thoughtful waitress brought my husband a surprise decadent desert with a lit candle on it.Extra touch.Such a nice memory."

  • "For appetizers we went with bruschetta and crab cakes. Dinner was an 18oz Prime Rib, 16oz Boneless Ribeye, and a 16oz T-Bone with fingerling potatoes and parmesan wedges as the sides. For dessert, tiramisu. The apps were served promptly. The bruschetta was covered in balsamic tomatoes and shaved cheese, very tasty. The crab cakes were firm and filled with lump crab. The head chef, Tye, visited all the tables to check on the meal preparation, it was a very nice touch. The steaks arrived and were cooked to perfection. Only one of us was able to order dessert because we were so stuffed by the volume of food we had. We all sampled the tiramisu and it was very good. In all it was a great experience of high end steakhouse dining."

  • "The Reserve is a hidden gem- great food, excellent and friendly service, and a great way to start (or end) the evening if you are visiting Harrah's. Everyone is quite nice, and if you come back (even after a couple of months) they remember you. The swordfish special was great- I would highly recommend it! So, if you want good food with servers that make you feel comfortable, try it!"
