"The Red House was a "mixed" experience.
The glassware needs to sparkle (the wine glasses are WAY out of date).
The restaurant had the fragrance of fresh paint/varnish....mixed blessing, I suppose.
The appetizers were very good(duck spring roll and arugula salad). The entrees were less than average(mostly due to arriving cool) but not poor.
(Lobster carbonarra and pasta with spring vegetables).
I would not rush back with all of the other choices in Harvard Square nor would I recommend it."

"The food was good but not memorable, but the service was poor. Our steaks came with brussel sprouts and some members of our party asked if they could substitute these for another vegetable and we were told no, as the kitchen only does one vegetable each night. What?! Our waiter was slow, disinterested, and had no personality. It seemed like it was a chore waiting on us. At one point we asked a passing bus boy a question, and instead of easily answering it (it was a simple question that anybody working there could have answered), he quickly dismissed us and told us he'd get our waiter. That's fine, but he was very rude and could have been more polite. All in all this wasn't a great experience. We won't be going back."

"We go to The Redhouse maybe once a month and are never disappointed. The service is always good, the food delicious, and the selection of local brews is awesome. This time we went for a small family Easter and had an excellent time. Our waitress, though new, was on point and friendly, attentive and fun to interact with. I wish I remembered her name; she was one of the best servers I've ever had. All around a wonderful experience."

"The food is just short of being excellent. A sausage dish had little taste, with the sausage being the problem: not much of it and kind of bland. The dining rooms are perfect, very charming. It's an overall nice dining experience."

"We got oyster price is great but not that good and bartender during stand at front bar use finger pick up something from his teeth omg g
And we got ribs app taste is ok but little cold in side well but we like the look inside really cute."
