A word from The Red Claw
The Red Claw has an extensive menu of delectable Cajun, Vietnamese, Pho, American, and fusion dishes from the tame to the adventurous, including meats as well as seafood. Our ingredients are fresh or flash-frozen, not processed. All our seafood is from American or Canadian fisheries. Our fried foods are light, not greasy, and breaded in our own kitchen instead of a factory somewhere. Our sauces are unique and flavorful. We can even create a vegetarian dish or two. There's something for everyone's taste.
The atmosphere is relaxed and inviting, the staff are friendly and accommodating, and we're open late (midnight) for your convenience. The Red Claw is the perfect place for a snack, dessert, cocktail, or full meal with a crowd, the family, or by yourself. We work to keep our prices low so you can visit often. Take-out is also available, including party-size orders. Drop by for a flavored lemonade or a beer and check us out.
The Red Claw. It's where you want to eat!

The Red Claw reviews from OpenTable diners
  • This brightly lit storefront

This brightly lit storefront is basically an Asian/Cajun Crab Shack. Broad, inexpensive menu with emphasis on shellfish, Vietnamese classics, and quirky Cajun touches throughout. We had chicken wings with fish sauce and King crab in a spicy cajun sauce - both were dee-lish. Service is not exactly polished, but friendly and earnest. Definitely worth a try if you are into exploring the mom-and-pop Asian spots along this wonderful strip of Federal Blvd. Wear the bib.

  • Not bad, but not special

The food was not bad, but there is nothing special about this place other than that they serve crab at a reasonable price. I saw the reviews on Yelp and thought it would be good. It was ok, but not worth the drive for me. I would visit the Red Claw again only if I happened to be in the neighborhood. As it was, I drove 20 miles for something I could have gotten much closer to home.

They do not serve cajun food. This is a Vietnamese restaurant - and not one of the best in town. The ambiance is terrible and the big TV blaring doesn't help. My husband ordered the etouffee and received an asian stir fry with a light brown asian sauce. We won't go back ever.

We went there because we also were using a scoutmob deal. the neighborhood doesn't exactly scream classy, but we gave it a chance. They were out of crawfish...so you might want to call ahead if that's what you were hoping for like we were. and the crab wontons didn't have more than a couple flakes of crab. I have had better food in bars. we will not go back.

We love going here. Great crawfish, shrimp, snails, etc. You can't go wrong. Makes me feel like I'm back east at a raw bar.
