  • "Tasty food, but had to send back over cooked filet minion. I was served dirty silverware twice. Amber was a kind server. Had a drink at the bar after and we had to listen to the bartender spend 15 minutes of bashing the owner - definitely took away from the ambiance. I left without finishing my beverage at the bar."

  • "This was only the second time that I have been to the Rattlesnake Club for dinner. Due to limited funds, we have to limit our visits to very special occasions, which this was. Our dinner there two years ago was absolutely amazing, and we have not stopped talking about it since. This time, we were a little bit disappointed with the service (there seemed to be a shortage of wait staff personnel), and I was very disappointed with my entree. I ordered the exact same thing that I had the last time, but this time, all of my food was terribly salty. I do not expect that at a restaurant of this caliber as I do of lesser restaurants. Despite this, we will definitely return (most likely in another couple of years!) and hope it was a fluke."

  • "Wonderful seasonal menu that will please anyone's taste. The food, the wine, the service......an excellent dining experience!"

  • "We booked a party of 6 for a special occasion and consumed 4 bottles of wine. All the appetizers tasted only of salt. The wine glasses were dirty and we had top ask to have them changed as we ordered different wines. The waiters were badly trained and not attentive. No offer to suggest wine or food suggestions. Comment made by us about the food/wine were just ignored. I spoke with the manager who blamed the staff and took no responsibility for our bad experience. I would not return."

  • "This was a special night and it was perfect. We even were front seat to a beautiful wedding. The service was great and the host was very professional. It made for a great evening after a long week at work."

  • "The food was amazing, the service and the atmosphere were the best in town. I will definitely make this my first choice when I'm dining out, it was very romantic as well."

  • "All four of us enjoyed a great dinner. Service however, was lacking to say the least. The manager informed us that our waiter had just brocken up with his girlfriend and he tried to add on about a hundred dollars to our bill. No excuse for a five star restaurant"

  • "The Rattlesnake Club is celebrating its 25th anniversary and it is clearly a place that knows its community, but it remains fresh, innovative, and exceptional. Elegant without being snobby, they focus on steaks and seafood but don't mind serving vegetarians. Our salads were amazing and memorable: jewel beets with a horseradish dressing and roasted carrots, avocado and orange with a cumin dressing. The artichoke, almond, and olive appetizer was also incredible. Pair all of that with a stroll along the newly opened section of the riverwalk afterwards, and you have a perfect evening out in Detroit!"

  • "This is the best place to have your romantic getaway. Food is great they go above and beyond for you. "

  • "Rattlesnake Club is in desperate need of modernization. The decor is early 1990s and the menu matches. Everything we ordered was bland and tasteless. The cheese plate was Brie, blue and cheddar which is laughable in this day and age. My sad attempt at vegan was a quinoa w sun dried tomatoes and green olives, an odd combination, and these weird fried haystack veggies that were more annoying than anything else, I think they were there to add texture. My salad wasn't seasoned it was drowned in dressing, my dates fish was under cooked and bland. We skipped on dessert because we were frightened to think about how that would turn out. Rattlesnake Club really need an update, we were there on a beautiful Saturday evening and the place was empty. "

  • "We had a tight schedule. Let them know and they did a great job serving appetizer and fantastic Halibut meal in that time! Arranged a cab right on time."

  • "We were two couples, from San Francisco and NYC, in Detroit visiting the DIA. Our dinner at the Rattlesnake Club was a thoroughly enjoyable experience, especially due to the marvelous service at the restaurant. The hostess was very cordial and, throughout the evening, checked in on us to inquire as to our needs. Our server, also very cordial, was quite attentive but in a way that was not obtrusive - great balance there. The food was solidly good. Notable were the Poached Organic Egg appetizer and the Cumin & Coriander-scented Roast Carrot salad. The White Chocolate Ravioli dessert is definitely special. We thought that the perch filets were a bit bland, the grilled salmon lacked flavor and that the spring peas, while good, were overcooked. "

  • "it was a very enjoyable evening. They made my husbands' 60th Birthday memorable. Our waiter's suggestions were excellent."

  • "We were an early reservation and they seemed a little confuse as to who was going to serve us at first. Once settled our waitperson was very good and attentive. We were both happy with our meals and we would recommend this restaurant for a nice evening out with a view of the water."

  • "Our first trip to this restaurant was a mixed bag. The restaurant was not busy, so we were expecting an intimate, romantic evening. We were sat at a window with a good view but right next to the only other guests in the dining room. Strangely, there was no music playing, just the chatter of other guests. Our hostess turned the music on once I brought it to her attention. Our server was accommodating, but not warm. I was pleased that I was allowed to order a buger fom the lunch menu at dinner time. I had seen tremendous reviews for their gourmet burgers and it didn't disappoint. Yes, I had truffle fries with my burger, but they weren't well done like ordered. They ended up redropping the fries in the fryer...disappointing."

  • "It has been while since I have been to Rattlesnake Club, but I when I took my mother there for brunch on Mother's Day I was pleasantly surprised by how delicious everything was. The selection of the buffet was outstanding and the service was impeccable. Overall great experience. "

  • "The food was incredible! the focus is on quality - quality of food, service, & presentation. They stay to a reasonable size menu to keep the level of quality high. The ala carte option is highly recommended."

  • "We loved the Rattlesnake Club. We had not been there is a few years and it was nice to go back. We went for a special occasion and they acknowledged it beautifully."

  • "My wife and I went to the Rattlesnake club to celebrate our 24th wedding anniversary. We have been there before, and have always enjoyed it, but this time was a bit disappointing. We sat outside on their beautiful patio overlooking the river, and were looking forward to a leisurely and relaxing dinner. The food, as always, was very good, but we no sooner finished one course than the next was brought out. We felt rushed, and I felt some resentment about the way the meal was paced, especially because we had mentioned to the obviously new waiter that we were not in any hurry. "

  • "The service absolutely horrible. Was not offered drinks til 20 mins accept water.Upon receiving our drinks about 25 mins. With menus closed, ready to order now after a half hour waiting we ordered an app, waiter walked away too quick to order dinner.Hour passed, order our dinner. The man refilling our water was more helpful then our waiter. When our food came,no side dish. Our waiter only came to table once when asked for him.At the time when the side dish finally came, food was cold.Didn't finish meal.Received bill, was shocked when the special was $70.Not a special when had an upset stomach for the next 12hours.With that being said, $200 bill for 2 of us,with 2 meals,1 app,4 drinks, 2.5 hrs later leaving restaurant. You make your own decision."

  • "The Rattlesnake has been a part of the Detroit restaurant scene for a long time. I hadn't dined there in recent years but was very pleased to find an up to date menu with many choices to fit all tastes. Our meals were excellently prepared and served. The decor is fresh, airy and inviting. I will definitely return in the near future. "

  • " Salads were not fresh, probablay left-overs from one of the wedding parties they were giving attention to. The main courses were awful, just awful. The perch was greasy and without favor. The shrimp wsasd tough, unseasoned and served in a bowl all by itself - really. we ate only a sampling portion of each dish and left. Thank God we had Kraft macaroni and cheese in a box at home. "

  • "The view from where we were sitting was absolutely amazing. We were seated promptly and our waitress was vibrant, outgoing, and sweet. The food came in a timely manner and tasted amazing. The vibe was calm relaxing and very upbeat. It's definitely a place we will be going to again! If your looking for the place to propose this is the place, if your looking for the place to have a celebration this is the place.... Classy and amazing. "

  • "This was a very classy dinner experience. Food was delicious and the wait staff were on point. My boyfriend got the lobster tail and I loved the trout. My only critique is that it felt like a very traditional upscale restaurant and I was hoping for something with more character or more unique style. I understand that this is solely my opinion and many people are probably looking for exactly that, but for me it was a bit disappointing. The open floor plan left minimal privacy and felt more cold than romantic. For an 80 dollar tab (restaurant week without drinks) I was hoping for more. "

  • "The service was excellent but we just didn't get that excited about the food. The best part of our meal was the dessert! I had the popcorn parfait and my partner had the rhubarb ice cream sandwich. Both were impeccable. We weren't wowed by the main courses and felt the appetizers were uninspired. "

  • "We went during Restaurant week so we could try different things. Everything (and the 3 of us all had different things for all 3 courses!) was outstanding. Definitely would recommend and go back."

  • "Good food. Waitress very friendly and not overly helpful (hanging near-by or bothering while you're eatimg ). Only problem I encountered was we called for reservation and told they were booked "until next Tuesday" (Friday night) then we tried the Open Table and found only 1 reservation available. We got there and entire time there they had 4-5 empty tables in area we were sitting. So why turn customers away when plenty of room available."

  • "The Rattlesnake Club was posh; service was over the top and it was just a totally splendid experience. The staff is very courteous and attentive to every detail. The food was also great and nicely pesented. It was a wonderful place to celebrate the birthday of my very special male friend. We will definitely be making return visits soon."

  • "Went for restaurant week, which explains some of the less ideal portions of the meal. All food was good, that said, the duck entree came out cold, and the whole meal felt rushed. Entrees were on the table before appetizers were finished/cleared, and desserts came out (with no flatware) before the entrees were finished. Flavor profiles were good, and the panko breaded poached egg was wonderful, albeit under seasoned."
