We came with a group of 9 for a bachelorette party and were a little late for our reservations due to some logistical difficulties but the restaurant was not busy and our timing didn't seem to cause any issues. The restaurant was VERRRY quiet, so for a bachelorette party, the atmosphere was a little boring. There wasn't even any music playing that I could hear. Everything was hot and cooked perfectly, and the plating was beautiful! Also, the waitress was very accommodating in splitting our checks the way we asked! Maybe not the best spot for a group of rowdy girls ready to party, but definitely an excellent dinner place. The staff accommodated us by slightly rearranging the table and chairs to give us a good river view. The beet pyramid salad and the perch were the stars of the evening, both delicious &
beautifully presented. The mixed grill with wilted spinach was good, as was the strawberry/rhubarb cobbler. I was very much looking forward to the dining experience. The atmosphere was lovely although I was surprised at the contemporary design. Both my husband as well as myself, were disappointed with our food. It was good but not over the top excellent as I had anticipated. I had the salmon and my husband had the scallops. The service was outstanding! Would definitely go again!4/27/2013 12:00:00 AMBeautiful and delicious PlaceThe Rattlesnake Club Restaurant is really a gem, and we hadn't been there in a while, so we were excited to be "reminded" of the place when Detroit Restaurant Week came around. We were not disappointed at all, and everything was wonderful. From the view, to the wine, to the meal, and dessert and coffee......everything was great, and we cannot wait to return. In the Summertime, The Rattlesnake has a beautiful large patio, that looks over the River and it is always a beautiful setting to enjoy the delicious food. Also, it is a beautiful venue for weddings! The reason that we chose Rattle snake was because of the spring roll. The other dishes in the first course weren't that appealing on the menu, and we settled for the asparagus, which wasn't bad, but the cold shrimp dish from last year could have been a option for a replacement. The waiter was nice but didn't give a option to replace the first course. Even a 3 or 4 star restaurant gives other options. Customers who are happy, return and spend money. The atmosphere was very nice and quite. My salad was a bit tasteless, but presented nicely. Entrees were good. Our food was served too quickly...just finish your entree and boom your dessert is right in your face. We were not offered coffee/tea...just the bill. The valet parking was superior. I'm looking forward to warmer weather when the patio is open and you can enjoy the view of the Detroit River. We had noticed an advertisement in the playbill that we could get 25% off our meal at The Rattlesnake. I inquired with our waiter upon arrival and our tickets were collected and our meals were discounted. This was a pleasant surprise.
