Arguably one of the best steaks that you will ever have. The cowboy ribeye bone in. Presentation, flavor sides, appetizers.. all excellent. A bit pricey but it is an experience.

Saw this restaurant on Open Table and it was close to our convention hotel. Felt the food was a bit overpriced, but it was good. I had the Heirloom Beet Salad and the Certified Sustainable Chilean Sea Bass. The portions were a good size and cooked to perfection. My friend got the Five Onion Soup, Freshly Baked Popovers, and Harvest Pumpkin Gnocchi. The soup and gnocchi were good and, again, a good portion size. However, the popovers were over cooked -- one of them was substantially darker than the other two and they were not light and fluffy as popovers should be (perhaps the gluten was developed too much). Worth a try if you've got money to spare.

Great food great atmosphere however difficult to see menu - lighting is too subdued. Waitress encouraged us to get extra food (sides) much of which was wasted as the meals were rather large. Wasted most of the sides we ordered. Good mixed drinks. Good wine. If we lived in this area we would be regulars.

After reading the rave reviews on The Ranch, we decided to have dinner there. After eating there we decided the reviews were bogus. Food extremely overpriced, noisey, and the service rushed our meal so they could handle the next bus load. A big disappointment and a bad choice for Dinner.

My friend and I were celebrating our birthdays and she had never been there, so I chose The Ranch. The food was excellent, as always, and the servers were polite, friendly and helpful. All in all a great place to go for well-presented, wonderful food. The one disappointment is that they don't have a wonderful, decadent chocolate dessert.

Was looking for a place to celebrate our 40th anniversary but found a truly wonderful place to eat.. From the drinks to the dessert the food and service was excellent.. the noise level was much less that other places while the place was filled with people.. the portions are good size and we had enough for a second meal.. will we go back, yes...!! If you get the chance their saloon next door is a place to try as well.. quite the hangout..

The Ranch is all it is cracked up to be. The food was outstanding. I was there with my wife to celebrate my birthday and I went all out and ordered the "Cowboy Ribeye" It is $100 dollars, but true to its reputation, it was delicious and perfectly cooked. It's really too big for one person and they boxed it up for me to take home. The service was also excellent and they do not make a big sing-song spectacle of your birthday desert (complementary) - thank you. What we liked best was going to the "Saloon" next door after dinner to dance the night away. We had a wonderful time and will do it again.

We were staying at Disneyland and decided to get out of the park for a very nice dinner. The Ranch sounded right up our alley. We had a 6 year-old with us, so we opted for early resos. The place feels very swanky and cozy and we got sat in a very comfortable booth. Christine was our server and she was amazing! She was always there at the right time, and was engaging and helpful. All of the food was incredible! Everything we ate was delicious- filet, pot roast, brats, squash soup, sorbet & ice cream..But a big shout-out about the popovers. Wow! They were warm and fresh and tasty plain, as well as smeared with butter and blueberry jam. We rolled out of there so stuffed. We took a peek into the Saloon next-door, looks fun! Next time :)

Was looking for a nice place to take a friend for a birthday celebration dinner. I read some of the reviews and peeked at the menu on OpenTable. It sounded good and we could get a reservation -- so off we went. What a great find! Wonderful, friendly service. Great food! The restaurant is beautiful and comfortable. Really enjoyed hearing about how 90-95% of their fruits and vegetables are grown locally on a nearby farm. Steaks come from Texas and North Carolina and are wonderful. If you are in the Anaheim area -- this is a place worth checking out! I'm so glad we did.

The Ranch has a Saloon next door. We wanted to enjoy a cocktail before dinner and explained this to the door person . Instead of letting us know the restaurant also has a full bar, he told us about the $5 Saloon cover charge (reimbursed if we order 2 food items and 2 cocktails.) There was no live band. We ordered cocktails then went to the restaurant for more cocktails, an appetizer, and 2 entrees. Our cocktails arrived quickly, but our appetizer came with our entrees. The deviled eggs were way too sweet - more than just too much sweet relish. My chicken was tasty, but didn't stay hot for long. The filet my sweetie order was not cooked medium as requested. His potatoes weren't fresh, either. Dessert and coffee were good.

The ranch is a go to restaurant for special occasions. We consider it to be the best restaurant in Orange County. The food is so well prepared both in taste and presentation. The ranch keeps the experience fresh and exciting. The service is outstanding. Our server, Rob went through the menu with us and explained in great detail the dish and its presentation. We have been there at least six times and we have enjoyed every time. Book in advance since the restaurant always plays to a full house.

Did the wine pairing with the Chef's Tasting menu - absolutely a deal. Venison was cooked to perfection; the starter of the scallops melted in my mouth. The dessert was beautiful and was a nice palate cleanser as well as a tasty finish to a divine meal. We actually added the chilean seabass ceviche with mango vinegarette - it was likewise, superb! Can't wait to try Chef's next selection - and, that is coming from someone with a finnicky palate who drove in crush LA traffic to get there.

We walked in and had high expectations on a Monday night while visiting the area. There was not too many patrons there - it was about 8pm when we arrived. The waiter was attentive and informative. The specialty cocktail Strawberry Vine was delicious, the variety of breads was a treat too. The signature popovers were good but more than enough for 2. The Onion Soup was good with good amount of cheese. The grilled Mexican white shrimp appetizer was fine with additional horseradish in the cocktail sauce which was gladly supplied to me ( I do like hot). The entrees were the part of the food that was average. All in all it was pleasant and hoping it was an off night for the food as the ambience deserves food to match it.

After multiple recommendations, we finally tried The Ranch, uniquely situated in an office building (owned by the proprietor) in an industrial-park area of Anaheim. Our waiter deserves five stars, but because we received onions after asking for no onions on our salads, I have to deduct a star on principle. With the exception of occasional fish, we are essentially vegan, so this was a challenging menu for us. Nevertheless, everything was farm-to-table fresh and delicious, and I have no doubt that my omnivore friends would find multiple gems on the menu. TIP: Due to the location and crossover of clientele from the adjacent country-western bar, the attire was surprisingly casual.

My fiance' and I dined for the first time at The Ranch for his birthday dinner. The service was wonderful from start to finish. Our starters: Deviled eggs (flavorful and nicely presented) and Georges Bank Sea Scallops which came with a sauce so delicious, we used pieces of bread to mop it up after the scallops were gone. Entrees: the Petite Filet of Beef and the Duroc Pork Chop. Both were delicious (we shared, but it was really hard to part with bites of the pork chop!). The bone-in pork chop is served with an Apricot BBQ sauce that made my palate dance. The atmosphere is pleasantly dark, warm, and rich; seating well-spaced; booths comfy. Recommended for special occasions or when you want a really fabulous dining experience!

We were immediately impressed when we walked in the door, very lush waiting area, welcoming hostess, and short wait for our reservation. We were seated in a booth for our anniversary dinner, which gave us more privacy but still allowed us to see the crowd. The meal, from appetizers to 30 oz. cowboy steak were perfectly prepared and served attractively. I tried the scallops, appetizer--perfect finish atop a small portion of mashed potatoes. My husband tried the ceviche trio, and he loved each one. We shared a fresh beet salad and ordered popovers, which came with a freshly prepared jam. Both were great. The gigantic cowboy rib eye steak we shared was perfectly seasoned, and flavorful. Of course, we took over half home.

Food, service, creativity and atmosphere easily unto to my standard for LA and OC Beach restaurants. Thinking this was a typical steakhouse, the unexpected surprise is the fact they grow, farm and sustain almost all their food stock...not your typical steakhouse. I was looking for a farm to table place and found The Ranch. Most of the vegetables are grown on a near by farm. Though the vegetables are just part of the overall menu. My friend had the spareribs that just melted off the bone. I had the prime rib with the delicious vegetables on the side. And for dessert we shared the Smores with a twist. The service was great and the food was delicious... can't ask for more than that.
