Diner Reviews
  • "Got lucky and sat by the window, so the noise level was not so bad. The food was really great - service not so much. We had a 'new' waitress, so that was part of the problem. Overall though, had a really nice time."

  • "It is hard to find a hangout pub in Peekskill (with acceptable food) when you are used to the variety of options in NY. Anyway. The Quit Man is certainly one of the rare places to recommend. The staff is friendly, drinks are moderately priced and you get pub food on the upper scale, again, compared to whats out there in Peekskill and neighborhood probably a gem."

  • "Had never been there before and was happy to get a last minute reservation. Overall, I thought the atmosphere was fun and they have some cool elements (like the draw your own pint table near the bar). The food was good, especially the seafood chowder and the fish and chips, but other entrees tasted somewhat similar (beef stroganoff wasn't that different tasting than the meat in the Guinness stew/pie). Typical offering of desserts. I think this would be a good place for a casual bite, nothing too cutting edge, but a fun bar area and some great choices on tap. I'd go back, but only for a quick and casual bite when I really just wanted to be in an Irish pub atmosphere."

  • "I dined as part of a group on a week night. It was very quiet which was great for having a group discussion at least. The food was just okay - nothing special. We had fish and chips, lamb burgers and hamburgers which were all acceptable. For dessert a very mediocre crème brule and a nice berry tart."
