A word from The Purple Room
In the early 60s Palm Springs’ Purple Room at Club Trinidad became the sweet spot of the swinging supper club scene. Cats like Frank and Dino hung with their pals to eat, drink play. The Purple Room re-opens with its pedigree legacy in mind. We embrace the style, the carefree and creative spirit of that era. With a nod to its history, we will be making history of our own. We are one of two original Rat Pack hang outs left in the desert today. We have brought back the style and class of the purple room, offering quality entertainment for the desert. Like our big brother,TRIO Restaurant, it’s a local favorite a place where you can come in feel at home.

Celebrity sightings. You never know who will be at the PR, so we ask that you allow our guests to enjoy themselves.

What happens at The Purple Room … Stays at The Purple Room.

It’s where Palm Springs Plays!

This the way Palm Springs was years ago. Went to see a free show with a singer song writer. Had drinks and appetizers. Good drinks! One of my favorite items on the appetizer menu is the Brussel Sprouts Salad. Also had the tender mussels and assorted cheese plate.

Loved the ambiance..Purple Room reminded us of " The Purple Pit"nightclub from The Nutty Professor...maybe the inspiration for Jerry Lewis? Loved the small room and the wait staff was very attentive and professional. Even Michael Holmes and his band were friendly and said hello during their break. Of course, we got the table "behind the pole" but a minor adjustment of the table helped the view. Sorry to the waiters who had to 'scooch' around it.

The Purple Room may not have the best food in town, but the ambience, service and entertainment are outstanding. We had such a great time listening to excellent music, and dancing with total strangers. The place is a throw back to the old Frank Sinatra era - you expect that he will come into the club at any minute. Don't hesitate (like we did) to go - you will have an fantastic time!

I plan to visit Palm Springs again soon solely for the purpose to, dine, drink & be merry at the Purple Room. Thank you Tom Collins, for answering my questions via phone & thank you for your graciousness when we arrived. I didn't thank the Chef, I will take the opportunity now, thanking the Chef, each diner commented their taste buds were filled & thrilled with wonderful flavors.

Friendly, professional service and very good food at this mirrored, comfortably-lit, historic night spot. We went for Groovy Tuesday happy hour, intending to make dinner in the bar of the half-price small plates, ('til 7PM), and reduced price drinks all evening. A capable singer accompanied himself on a keyboard for several hours. We enjoyed the charcuterie plate, generous and varied, especially a duck prosciutto. Corn/sweet potato fritters were delicious; St Louis style ribs very good; seafood ceviche fresh and plentiful, but a little heavy on tomato, and sweet for our taste. We drank crisp La Quinta blonde beer. We look forward to returning on our next visit to the valley.

I wish I knew they had live shows, because we came right as one ended and everyone looked like they had such a great time. Good food, great service, overall a fun night to end the crazy bachelorette weekend!

We were excited to read about the new chef and menu and decided to celebrate my partners birthday. What a disappointment. Performers on stage and camera crew right next to us filming them for some kind of promo/ad. Really? That should have been done during off hours. Staff inconsistent and Manager/ Front Person not becoming for the job. Dress was way too casual. The food was no better than what we would expect in an average hotel restaurant. It seemed like the dishes were prepared ahead to time and warmed to order, and it took a very long time for the food to come out. Staff more interested in talking amongst themselves than taking care of guests. I want to like this place, but they really need more owner oversight here.

I came to the Purple Room twice - could not believe the great food at happy hour (half-price till 7PM). Then I stayed for dinner and the musical entertainment. I am on vacation from San Francisco - I wish we had the Purple Room there! So, when in Palm Springs, don't miss the nostalgic look back to the 1950-1960 supper club ambience. You will have a great fun time!

So my girlfriend and I went to new re-opening weekend. Nice ambience when you walk in with jazz music playing. Problems start here. I had reservations for a table up by band but they had given it away by mistake so we got sat in a rear table behind bar. Waitress seemed nice but brought us the wrong drink orders, really? Good looking menu, we tried the recommended duck, but we requested a different vegetable, they forgot. Duck was delicious. Live jazz band was really good and old school. After a few good drinks you're able to dance romantically with your sweetheart! I think the Purple Room has good potential, just was not ready for new menu and reopen inch staff wise. I will try again next month with hopes that they are more organized.

I have been to the Purple Room numerous times and have always been happy with everything. I enjoy going when a show is scheduled. I know most of the areas performers who are excellent such as The Judy Show or Michael as himself. I am usually alone so I sit at the bar where I can enjoy the show. I noticed that the sound system is much better. I will always come back !!!

Trio was our favorite spot when we came to town, but now the Purple Room (part of the Trio family) has taken over. It's small, the food is delicious, the service great and it was one of the few places in PS that isn't overrun with obnoxious bachelorette parties taking selfies and clamoring over their gay wait staff. The bartender made a delicious raspberry lemon drop martini, Danielle is an amazing server from start to finish and the filet mignon was the best I have ever had compared to any high end steakhouse. This place is small, intimate, can be a bit loud, but the ambiance makes it a place to enjoy and remember. We felt welcome from the moment we walked in. Having a reservation definitely helps. We will be back to dine for sure!

We went to the Purple Room to see Kal David and we weren't disappointed! Service was excellent, we never had to want for anything. Our waiter, Al, was new but we would have never known if he hadn't told us. He was outstanding, along with all the other staff members. Very relaxed atmosphere. We shared the ribs, they were just Ok. The real star was Kal David and Miss Lauri. If you love the blues and want to be entertained, then you shouldn't miss it. Kal is amazing. We would go again in a heartbeat.

This place is a supper club type of environment, has limited parking, you need to go early to find street parking). Manager Tom tries hard to accommodate seating, works hard and is always gracious. Tables for two are small, should be replaced with larger if you're dining to be more comfortable. Food pricey and just ok, we'd like to see more American kind of dishes at lower prices. Entertainer Kal David is outstanding and why we go, good happy hour too! The venue should get hotel to allow parking in their spaces. Also would be appreciated if on some Saturday nights advance notice given that there may be a wait for an early show to end before going in, and guests should be allowed to at least have a drink and wait at the bar more comfortably.

Our dining experience at the Purple Room was great! We arrived early, 5:30 expecting the early bird menu, unfortunately the gentleman that was at the reception area let us know there would be a comedy show that evening and they could not offer specials. We were invited to pay $50.00 ea. for dinner and a 7 p.m. show if we would like. We opted to dine off the regular menu and skip the show. Our appetizer was fried oysters Dinner for myself was the ribs which were fall off the bone, mouth watering delicious! My husband had the lamb chops, perfectly cooked with mint jelly... Our waiter for the evening was Chris who was absolutely wonderful!

I am so happy I decided to try the Purple Room. I tend to stay in hotels on the south side of town, and the sign caught my eye. After reading some reviews, I booked a table for me and my 3 friends. "Mr. Fabulous" was playing, and it was incredibly fun. Our waiter, Chris was fantastic, and helped us with lots of food & drink recommendations. My group all enjoyed their delicious meals, and the entertainment was so fun. although the table we had was not the most comfortable (even though we'd had a standing reservation and were disappointed the table we received was against the wall, small and uncomfortable, we were offered one closer to the stage but it would've been to loud and it was still small) so the tables for two need to be a bit larger for food and room space to be comfortable. The food and show and service were outstanding. The host Tom very very kind and gracious and did his best to try to help us and said wed get a more comfortable on our return for which we are appreciative. Nice employees all around and a great supper club!
