  • The Prim Rib, great as expected

The Prime Rib is a great series of restaurants and this one did not disappoint. The food, as expected, was fantastic. The steaks were cooked as ordered and very flavorful. The biggest surprise was we were seated right next to the casino with a window and no noise came through. The casino noise was blocked and the restaurant atmosphere prevailed. Out waiter was very attentive all night.

The Prime Rib has been one of my all time favorite restaurants in Maryland (In this country as we travel widely) since my youth when we traveled to the Baltimore location to eat there. We have eaten at this LIVE location three times now and have enjoyed the food immensely each time. The wait service has been excellent each time as well. My only problem is with the front end staff and the management. Fine dining is all about customer service, and regardless of the Casino clientele dressed in flipflops and shorts sitting next to us, whilst we were in jackets and business casual attire, the substandard service was all at the front of the restaurant. The hostess staff had us wait over and hour when we had a reservation? Management hid

The cost of dinner at the Prime Rib is substantial and due to that I expected excellent service, more choices and the food to be the correct temperature and presentation superb-- to which none of this was!!!!!!! My Lobster Bisque was moderately warm and I asked for lemon for it and by the time I had to request it twice the soup was almost too cold to eat. My friend selected Imperial Crab and had to send it back the first time due to no Imperial sauce on it and not browned/broiled. She sent it back a second time to get browned more because it was very lightly browned. We both got fries with meal and they were barely warm. The waitress seemed to have little patience for some of our inquires and requests. I expected a lot more!!!!

My wife and I had a reservation for 6:30. We arrived at that time and we're greeted by the hostess. We decided to have a drink at the bar. The bartender was extremely friendly and informative. At my request we were seated at 7:30. My wife ordered the lobster bisque and I had the french onion soup appetizers. Both were excellent. For our entree my wife ordered the mussels. They were very good, a little bit spicy, but good. I had the stuffed flounder. It was excellent, just a little dry. Our waitress was very knowledgeable and made good suggestions. We were not rushed and had plenty of time to talk, enjoy our drinks and eat dinner. We will be back.

While the food was okay, it was not great as expected. The prime rib was not nearly as good as the prime rib I had at the DC restaurant. Service was slow, initial drink order took 20 minutes to arrive, food delivery also slow.

I took my wife here for dinner, normally we really enjoy 'The Prime Rib' this was our first attempt to go to the one at MD Live. Except for the french onion soup our food was very mediocre. It tasted bland of seasoning and on some parts was only a little warm. For not being busy our waitress kept disappearing and was hard to find at the end when we wanted our bill.

I came for a romantic dinner. Needless to say, i was very disappointed in this restaurant. For the price, they did not execute. The server never introduced himself. The ribeye was pretty good... after I sent it back for more cooking. Just don't bother going here unless invited with someone else picking up the tab.

I have been to the one downtown before. First time at Live. I did not get prime rib but a veal chop. Chop was excellent quality but not seasoned at all. Wife had stuffed flounder. Not seasoned well either and cooked too much. Beautiful restaurant and service and staff were very nice. I did expect more from the food.

We mentioned it was our anniversary in our reservation but was disappointed that no mention of was brought up by the restaurant. Everything was wonderful as usual, but we were disappointed in the cream spinach dish. It needed to be creamier. Steaks out of this world. I do not like having to pay for Bearnaise Sauce. I feel that it should be automatically served with an almost 50 dollar Filet Mignon. It is cheap and beneath a restaurant of this caliber to charge for a condiment that is meant to be served with a great filet. Rethink this Prime Rib and maybe stop charging. It could not even cost 1 dollar to prepare.

Food is mediocre & prices are high. We reviewed the menus and made our selections and then the waitress shared the specials with us. The waitress didn't disclose the cost of the specials so we made the assumption that the cost would be a bit higher than regular menu items. When the bill came that 1 of the steaks was $145! The special was more than double. We live near the DC area & are accustomed to paying a high price for a good meal, but this felt like robbery for a meal that was just so-so. We felt the waitress was really pushing the specials because it was going to drive her tip through the roof. We won't go back. There are much better steak houses in the Baltimore/DC area that are clear on their prices and the quality is better.

Wow!! What can I say that will capture the true essence of an outstanding evening at The Prime Rib! My family was treated to an impeccable evening in celebration of my wife's 51st birthday. From our wonderful and very attentive server (Jodi) to the head chef paying us a visit at our table the event was truly memorable. Everyone in our party had steaks and let me tell you, they were perfect in every sense of the word. Please try the new Shrimp Scampi appetizer which is to die for. If you are considering having a romantic evening or hanging out with family and friends give the Prime Rib a chance to WOW you as they did us and always do. Thank you Prime Rib for helping make my family very happy.

Was very disappointed with this visit. Ordered a $90 bottle of champagne that the waitress did not know how to open. The on duty manager had to teach her. The bottle was placed away from the table in a common ice bucket (with two other tables sharing) where we could not reach it when the waitress was not available to refill our glasses. This is something I would expect at a lower end restaurant chain. The crab imperial appetizer and crab cakes both had lots of shells. This was not common in the past. For three people, the total bill with tip was close to $400. It was definitely not worth it. We will stick with Morton's in the future. This place is fine you have a comp from the casino for a free meal; otherwise, don't waste your money.

I have eaten at the prime rib before and the food looked good and it was delicious. I ordered the lamb chops and they were bland and overcooked. To top it off, I took the second chop home for lunch at work the next day and I was thoroughly disappointed - it was mostly fat. Additionally, my guest ordered the prime rib and she received this huge chunk of meat that was the end cut, not sliced, and very overcooked. We are not the complaining type of people and the meal was free (on the casino). I'm not quite sure what happened, but I don't believe this is the routine. Because of this, I would not recommend this restaurant at this time - last year, I would have recommended it as the best place to eat in the casino.

The steaks came out lukewarm and under seasoned, with a nauseous sweet sauce drizzled on the cold plate. The lobster bisque was watery and tasted more of salt than lobster. There are many places in the area to get better food for less money.

I chose this particular restaurant for my boyfriend and I as it was his birthday and I wanted a nice romantic setting. The Prime Rib was just that and more!! The food was cooked to perfection, the ambiance was perfect and to top it off, our server Jodi was the best! I mentioned it was a very special birthday dinner when booking and really wasn't expecting any acknowledgement due to the fact that it's not a "family style " restaurant. Jodi wished him Happy Birthday and also brought out a slice of delicious chocolate cake with a candle. Needless to say, the cake and extra whipped cream were used for the dessert portion of our date (lol) but it was a great touch. We will definitely return and request Jodi upon our next visit!

This was supposed to be a special evening, but the server we had pretty much ruined our night. First off, it took a while to order. Then when we received our order, it was messed up. Hubby ordered the $18 burger, but received a $92.00 porterhouse. Received corn instead of fries. Never got the bread I asked for, and got a regular coke instead of diet. When we mentioned the steak was wrong, he just said "Yeah, I pressed the wrong button." Not the answer I would have liked, considering it was a $74.00 mistake. They did take off $42 from the bill, but to me, it still wasn't right. This caused a bit of a fight with hubby and I, and the rest of the evening went downhill after that. Our drinks never got a refill either. Not a fond memory at all.

Having dined at The Prime Rib locations in Philadelphia and D.C. my expectations were high. I have never had to wait when making reservations at The Prime Rib before but during this visit we had to wait almost 40 minutes for our table to be ready. We waited another 20 minutes to have someone come to get our drinks. The raw oyster appetizer we ordered was missing 1 oyster entirely and only about 50% of the other oysters were of adequate size. The prime rib was not cooked to order and had to be sent back, yet the second entree was cooked the same. Management comped the entree and gave us free desert but with such an expensive menu the experience was still unacceptable. There are better dining options for the money at Maryland Live.

I always enjoy going to the Prime Rib. The food and service is wonderful. My one complaint is after ordering a $64.00 filet mignon, they charge an additional $4.00 for béarnaise or other sauces. That is really tacky in my opinion. I've been to many fine restaurants and the sauce is always included. That additional charge is totally unacceptable to me.

We received a $300 gift card for an anniversary gift, very upset when we went to pay for our meal, we weren't allowed to use the card. Sadly we wouldn't have dined there if it wasn't for the gift card . As a one income family of 5 , somethings just aren't in the budget. We knew we had to pay for our meal, now certain bills won't get paid this week. It definitely killed the mood and the excitement of celebrating our 10 year anniversary.
