The wine, however, was delicious and served perfectly. Our glasses were never less than 1/2 full, the service was consistent but never bothersome. We also ordered the crab cake for an appetizer and that was delicious, although not sure the 4 ounces were quite worth the $17. Still a great treat, and great environment. We even got our picture taken at the end of the evening, and a free print. Not to mention the decor! This is truly the place to go for celebrations and a magical experience. Very upscale ambiance and a variety of attendants are there to wait on you. We recently celebrated our 30-year wedding anniversary there, as well as college graduation last year. We thoroughly enjoyed our "designer dinners" and appreciated the nice large portions of everything (come very hungry!). Best steaks in town, and Jeff Ruby can even transform macaroni and cheese into a work of art! Make sure you try some!

The salad was tasty with just the right amount of salad dressing on it and the side dish of garlic mashed potatoes was very good. I did get the Dusty Baker for the entrée and it was one of the best steaks I had ever eaten in my entire life. The steak was cooked perfectly to medium and the onion rings on the side gave the dish a little crunch to it. We celebrated a birthday here and received a delicious chocolate mousse with a lit candle on it. Perfect. I admit I had doubts this restaurant could be that good. The Precinct absolutely was worth it. The ambiance was romantic and energetic at the same time, the bar is stunning, the service stellar and the food cooked to perfection! The tastiest steaks we have ever had! Many places either overpower the steaks with too much seasoning or add nothing that enhances the taste. The Precinct got them spot on! The only thing not quite up to snuff was the brandy cream sauce. The sides were wonderful and the desserts ended the meal perfectly. The Food, the Service, Everything was Superb! Our seasoned waiter Tom was Exceptional. He knows the menu back and forth and recommended the Crab Cake and it was the Best I've ever eaten. The Collinsworth steak is the Best steak if you love the Filet Oscar, and my husband swears by the Salmon. You will not be disappointed, no matter what you order. They have so many AMAZING dishes, it will be hard to choose. The seating and ambiance is like no other, and Tom made us feel like we were his only guest. Make sure you make a reservation a few weeks in advance, because you will not get in on a nights notice. The staff is very attentive and knowledgable about their selection. They are very warm and happy to give suggestions. Just wow. My wife and I are still relatively new to the area and we hadn't been out for fine dining since we moved. I had been to The Precinct with work before and had heard from others that the food was excellent so I wanted to take my wife.
For starters the building is an old police station so you feel like you're stepping back in time when you walk in. The bar area was equally as beautiful with a lot to check out.
Our meals were both incredible. We both ordered filets, but they were prepared a little differently. Hands down, best steak I've ever had.

If you're looking for a delicious steak that's cooked just the way you like it and served with what is now my favorite all time salads "The Freddie" then this is the place for you. From the time you're greeted at the front door you'll find yourself with outstanding service. We were quickly escorted to our table by a friendly hostess who was able to meet our request for a banquette in the main dining room.
Tom, our server did an excellent job in setting a comfortable pace and communicating the specials and recommendations. He offered an excellent recommendation for a Napa Valley Cabernet which we enjoyed immensely.
Food was excellent. I had the special (Grass fed Rib-eye from Orion OH)and it may have been the best steak I have ever had.

The acoustics were such that the dining area seemed loud. There was a group of 5 or 6 businessmen in the dining area that were loud with laughter and talking over one another.
