  • "This is a favorite restaurant for me and most of my dining companions, and we were very happy with our choices at The Potomac Grill, as always! We ran the gamut from seafood to steaks to chicken -- everything prepared to perfection and with lovely presentation. Always a pleasure to see what Chef Andrew is up to in this excellent establishment!!"

  • "There was a mix-up regarding opening due to snow, etc. I had been here once and loved it. My mother was with me and I wanted her to try it. The owner was so kind - his wait staff had been delayed due to the inclement weather but he seated us and served us himself. The food was great and we had a wonderful late lunch. Please try this place. The food is fantastic."

My husband had the Meatoaf Wellington last time - a delicious meatloaf wrapped in puff pastry. Always a nice time here."

  • "We go out to dine more than the average person, but we still care about what we eat. The servers at Potomac Grill were so nice, I hate to say this, but we probably will not return. Nothing was memorable and we can eat as well, or better, at less expensive establishments."

  • "The Potomac Grill was an excellent choice. The Monday Night Prime Rib special was awesome. It was the best melt-in-your-mouth prime rib I have had in a very long time. I can't wait to go back and try some of the other interesting menu items! If you are thinking about trying it out, stop thinking and book a table :)"

  • "Potomac Grill is our favorite restaurant in the area. They always have something new and interesting on the menu along with several of our old favorites. The $15.99 specials are a great deal, especially Tuesday (rib night) and Friday (Shrimp night). We go to dinner there at least once a month and always enjoy it."

  • "Lots of restaurant turnover on Rockville Pike, but this unobtrusive gem has built a strong local following over it's seven year tenure. Four things: stand out: friendly courteous attentive service, excellent cuisine, quietly classic decor, and conversation friendliness. Here's where you go to with an old friend or small group you actually like, and want to talk to while you dine very well. I had amazing scallops florentine, not something I'd usually order, and it was memorably great. Don't let the little strip mall hideaway location fool you, this is a special place."

  • "We ate at the restaraunt Sunday night after Valentine's Day. They were still serving a special Valentine's Menu which had varied offerings for different taste buds. The restaraunt was busy, our waitstaff was attentive and the food was delicious. I have never had anything that I didn't love at the restaraunt. Next time I am going to try one of their sandwhiches. The folks at the table next to us got sandwhiches and they looked absolutely scrumptious."

  • "My family and friends, all paying customers there for the first time, enjoyed the excellent band who performed there, despite the windy, frigid cold weather conditions that night. It was a pleasure listening and dancing to a band that appeals to a wide variety of musical tastes."

  • "Went to the Potomac Grill for Valentine's Day with my wife. It was a great find! Good food, nice acoustic music, and good ambiance. It was a bit noisy but that was because the place was pretty busy. The Valentine's Day menu was superb and we really enjoyed everything we had."

  • "We were a party of 8 celebrating Valentines day. While it wasn't my first time there, the others in our party loved the ambience, food and service. The petite & appetizer portions were huge. Several of us had the coconut shrimp appetizer that was the best ever. One of the women in our party is a foodie and absolutely loved the Tuna appetizer & jambalaya that she ordered. We were entertained by Harlan, Wine and House. There music was suited to the theme of the evening. Our server Edelita was prompt and precise. All our meals were served hot and together. We finished our meals and were able to enjoy one more set of the music without feeling we needed to rush out. Will return to this place again."

  • "My wife and I went with our daughter on Valentines Day. It wasn't bad, but there was nothing that really stood out to us. The food was mediocre. Some parts of the meal were good but others who really fell short. They had 5 menus per person which was overwhelming and looked very cluttered. Our table was in very bad condition but they replaced it immediately. This may be more of a lunch place for us, but probably not dinner."
    Dined on 2/14/2014
  • "The lamb stew is such a comfort food in this cold weather -- and if you REALLY want to warm up, try the jambalaya, the tomato, crab & dill soup, or the seafood and pasta! You can't go wrong, and the wine list offers perfect accompaniment!!"

  • "On Monday's, you can get the Prime Rib dinner for $15.99. It's a very large portion (regularly $28), and delicious. Three in our party had that, and one had the crab cake dinner, which comes in regular and petite (one large crab cake) sizes. We would have liked the green beans cooked a bit more, but that's a personal preference. Enjoyed being in the cozy back corner booth with a view of the fireplace. Everyone I've taken to this restaurant has liked it, and made a point of saying so."

  • "Blackened Scallops: EXCELLENT as always. Had the pan-fried pork chop. The chop was tasty enough - cooked perfectly - except that - with the cornbread breading and VERY sweet sauce on top, it seemed too rich overall. I had asked for a replacement of sauteed spinach for the steamed vegetables which have seemed too bland ing the past (How about sauteeing them [BRIEFLY] with butter, garlic, and white wine/sherry?). Spinach was excellent. Service was adequate. I was by myself, so I shouldn't have been much trouble. However, the bread came late; the appetizer plate was never cleared and it was all being cleared as I asked for the check. I stop in fairly regularly, but that shouldn't compromise the service. It wasn't that busy."

  • "Our first time here was NY Eve. It was wonderful. So we decided to come back and try the regular menu. Alot of choices, and I decided on one of their specials. They split the filet - one side was rare, the other side medium. The crab casserole was overcooked. Server was so-so - not as attentive as the one on NY Eve. They have a great wine list, and our wine was great! Dessert (key lime) was awesome. Maybe because it was later in the evening (we got there at 8pm - they were still fairly busy). So, unfortunately I'm comparing it to New Year's Eve - which I would give a 5 star all the way around. Saturday night - a meek 3. We'll give it another try....in a few months...."

  • "We selected potomac grill for its central location They accomodated our party of 7 on a sat eve well Food was good as was service though it was nosy and hard on conversation We sat near the gas fireplace and a duo played live music across the way"

  • "We enjoyed the experience at Potomac Grill. The food was delicious and the service was just right. We shared an entree and it was more than enough. The side salads are more than you usually get with things like cheese, nuts, caesar style etc. Would definitely go back."

  • "I had a burger and the bacon tasted like cinnamon. Not so tasty. The onion soup was a real disappointment. I had it about a month ago and in was quite good. My friend had a Chx Marsala and it had rosemary in it. Chx Marsala usually has ther spices, but not rosemary. She was not happy at all. Others like their Jambalaya. I think this restaurant is at best ,mediocre. They had music last night and you couldn't have a conversation without yelling. We were in a booth but there were other patrons in a another booth that were extremely loud because they couldn't hear each other. They need to do something because not everyone wants to have someone singing at dinner. Maybe light music (background music) or after 8:00 pm on the weekends?"

  • "Tucked away in a small strip mall on Rockville Pike, this restaurant is a great find. Why I like it: Excellent food and a range of choices. They make a great Monte Cristo. The crab cakes were so tasty, my husband had them naked (sans ketchup not clothes!) It's quiet. You can carry on a conversation without raising your voice. Great service. The waiter was attentive without being a pest and he never asked anything while I had a mouthful of food!"

  • "We have spent many date nights with another couple at potomac grill. The food is always good and well prepared. Portions are generous, service is pleasant and prompt. Seating is sometimes a bit crowded as room fills. Our group enjoys the experience here. The inquiry by the chef/manager as to our happiness level is appreciated."
