The Pink Doorwonderful food, great serviceWe loved everything about this restaurant and we would return. The only thing I did not enjoy was porch dining. The sun was bright, no complaints but, I was trying to enjoy a not-so-cheap meal and without shade that was a little difficult but our wonderful server changed our seats when we told him the problem. AMAZING salmon. I don't even eat salmon because I don't like it but this was great!6/15/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat viewFood can be counted on to be freshly made and tasty. Beet salad was notable. Would have given 5 stars for service except: 4 of us were seated at a small table which would have been great for two, okay for three. I asked if we could have one of the other available full-sized sized 4-tops (there were 3-4 open) and something completely in the shade, and the hostess completely balked...paused...don't know...more pausing. My kids said our table was 'fine' and my son offered to sit in the sun,so we crammed in. The 4-top next to us, which I had asked for, remained empty throughout our meal and wasn't seated until we were paying. Annoyance, though our server was great and service friendly and prompt.6/15/2013 12:00:00 AMLived up to the hypeSolid all around. Bring a date and enjoy the experience. Expect to spend some time and enjoy a multi course dining experience. Portions are not overbearing so taste a bit of everything.6/14/2013 12:00:00 AMPerfect spot for outside diningWe were a party of 3 and had a great time enjoying the view, food and drinks. The service was exceptional and food was perfect for the occasion.6/13/2013 12:00:00 AMWhat an amazing restaurant....What an amazing restaurant.... Food, service, wine list - all perfect!6/11/2013 12:00:00 AMFabulous ambiance. Great food.Fabulous ambiance. Great food. Overall a great experience.6/10/2013 12:00:00 AMAlways great food and service!Enjoyed dinner on the patio. Delicious calamari to start and then had the seafood pasta and risotto. Very attentive staff. Overall, I always have a wonderful experience at The Pink Door.6/9/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat experienceThe time we had at the Pink Door this last saturday was phenomenal. The staff was attentive and knowledgable about the food and the local area. Highly recommend stay'ing for the show. It it top notch even though they had to fill the host position with a performer! She did great!6/8/2013 12:00:00 AMTHIS is why we live in Seattle!A sunny & warm pre-summer evening: Grandpa visiting from CA for graduation, college daughters with a couple of visiting friends, pre-teen little bro'...we had the lovliest dinner on the patio at the Pink Door. We had just come from Benaroya matinee, strolled through the bustling Saturday at the Market, and found our table - perfectly ready for us to settle in and enjoy.
PD had called to confirm, were ready for us, assigned a terrific waiter, provided state-of-the-art cuisine....totally impressive!
It was JUST what we wanted to share with our out-of-town guests.
For all but my husband, it was the first time at the Pink Door - we can't wait to return!6/8/2013 12:00:00 AMgreat Seattle experienceWhen you have limited time in Seattle, you want your dining choice to be a great one and The Pink Door was perfect.6/7/2013 12:00:00 AMThe special that I had--halibutThe special that I had--halibut with risotto--was excellent. The server was attentive--but not overbearing--which I appreciate.6/7/2013 12:00:00 AMI loved the outdoor deck.I loved the outdoor deck. A nice view of the water. The service was excellent, timely and unobtrusive. The malfada pasta with rabbit was perfectly cooked. The light tomato sauce was a real treat that let all the flavors come through. The wine suggestion was a perfect match. If they have the Brown Butter Bisquit with Strawberries and Cream don't pass it up. Can't wait for my next visit so I can dine here again.6/6/2013 12:00:00 AMWe've been going to the PDWe've been going to the PD for the last decade and love the character and the food!6/6/2013 12:00:00 AMPink Door Seattle, WAAnyone relishing excellent Italian pasta, pizza, salad, soup, will feel joyfully right at home at the PINK DOOR in Seattle. There is no sign in front, only a pale pink door. The Pink Door is directly across the Kells Irish Pub. Reservation recommended. Great outdoor patio and indoor dining. My wife and daughter had a glorious lunch, all of us ordering different entrees and sharing tastes back and forth. We ate on the sunny open-air patio with a clear view of the Pugent Sound and Pike's Market. In inclement weather there are dozens of indoor tables to accommodate diners. We were there on a beautiful clear day and everyone opted to eat outside. We loved our food, bread, & salad and look forward to a second visit the next time we are in town!6/4/2013 12:00:00 AMFirst timeI went with a group of six. It was all of ours first time there. We went on a Monday night so there was a trapeze artist who preformed about every half hour for about 5 minutes. Everyone loved their food, mine was the only dish that was on the skimpy side. Appetizers and dessert were also very good and decent proportions. Service was excellent, very attentive. It's a priceier resturant but well worth it. I will definatly be going again.6/3/2013 12:00:00 AMAlways fabulous! The Pink Door is always a fav for me especially since they offer gluten free options! Everything on the menu is amazing and the nightly entertainment is a blast!6/3/2013 12:00:00 AMWe had a very enjoyable mealWe had a very enjoyable meal there- eating outside on the deck on a sunny day in Seattle. The food was good and there seemed to be a good variety. I was hoping for more seafood selections but I was pretty happy with the meal I did choose. I did have oysters (which were fantastic) and the ciioppino- which I thought was a little bland (I do like spice). But- we still had a very good dinner experience. The waiter was efficient but did not provide enough details as to the specials of the day. He glossed over them too quickly. But.. no big deal. it was still a good experience but overall...a bit pricey.6/2/2013 12:00:00 AMAwesome OutdoorsAn overall great experience. Will definitely return.6/1/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent place to celebrate!!We had an amazing time - we were celebrating our daughter's graduation from Medical School. We had a group of 11 seated outside: the ambience was wonderful, beautiful view, great service, and the food was incredible! We couldn't have chosen a better place for a celebratory lunch!!6/1/2013 12:00:00 AMIt was my birthdayThe four of us had a good time and the food was awesome.5/31/2013 12:00:00 AMWorth the hypeI love this place. The food was fantastic, even as leftovers the next day. The Antipasto platter was great for sharing. Our group ordered the spring risotto, the bolognese, the rigatoni and meatballs, and the rabbit sugo. All dishes were phenomenal. The service was attentive and friendly. Can't wait to return!5/28/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat Date NightWe booked our reservation for dinner on a date night. It was a slow Tuesday, but that didn't hinder the quality of food or the level of service. I had the chioppino and it was loaded with seafood. My wife had the lasagna and every aspect of the dish was perfect. Their wine list is extensive but our waiter had no problem making a recommendation that we liked. We had the trio of crustini as our app, and loved it so much we almost ordered another, but it was then that our waiter brought the bread and house olive oil. Also fantastic. Our servers name was Logan, he was great, very attentive but not overly intrusive.
My one gripe I would make is that we were one of 3 parties in the restaunt and they sat a 4 top right next to us. That's it.5/28/2013 12:00:00 AMWorth a tryFantastic ambience, service, and show! Food was ok, given the price. Located in a touristy area but felt quite intimate inside.5/26/2013 12:00:00 AMWonderful ExperienceMy husband and I had a fantastic dinner here. We missed the entertainment, as we had a late reservation. I had the Lasagna and my husband ordered the Cioppino. Both were outstanding. The olive oil they serve with the bread is to die for! I wish they would open a Pink Door in Los Angeles... confident it would be packed every night!5/26/2013 12:00:00 AMIt's got it all!Has a late night caberat following dinner which starts at 11 pm; it has a patio which has a brilliant view; has trapeze entertainment in the restaurant, and delicious food and the noise level is normal for a restaurant not like some places where you have to shout at your table mates. This is our third time and we are raving fans.5/25/2013 12:00:00 AMSecond VisitEnjoyed the food even more the second time around. The infused olive oil and bread was terrific. Appreciate the use of fresh ingredients like English peas and nettles. Will go back.5/24/2013 12:00:00 AMSo much funWe have a perfect night at the Pink Door. From our arrival, wonderful people were there to make sure we enjoyed. We have the beautiful cheese plate and the early baby artichoke pasta. Then we moved to the patio to watch the sun go down over the water, then to the bar for live music and the best gelato this side of Florence, Italy.5/24/2013 12:00:00 AMCioppinoI believe the broth of the cioppino was to hot upon plating thus over cooking the seafood. Calamari was over cooked to the point of chewing an amount that was personally embassing.5/23/2013 12:00:00 AMEnjoyable TimeThe first time I came to the pink door was fantastic! Drink were sublime, food exquisite! But this time I ordered the same meal, mussels and clams, and the same drink, from rosehips to my lips, and they were lacking in flavor. Not bad, by any means, still well worth the experience, but not as wonderful as the first time. I will be going back, but I will be branching out with my order a bit so as not to be disappointed again.5/23/2013 12:00:00 AMDelicious, inventive foodCrazy about the medley of fresh peas. Delicious fresh sheet items. Fish so delicate and flavorful...5/22/2013 12:00:00 AMBirthday DinnerIn what has been a long standing tradition, we took our 22 year old daughter to the Pink Door for her birthday. The staff was great, food delicious, and a fun atmosphere. Without requesting one, a surprise birthday desert was delivered to our table. Another enjoyable outing.........................5/21/2013 12:00:00 AMWorth the Hype!I had this recommended to me for my first trip to Seattle so I casually made my way there on a Friday hoping to eat in the lounge not realizing just how popular it was so...that was a fail. But I made a reservation for the Tuesday with some colleagues and it expanded from 4 to 10 people which the restaurant graciously accomodated. Needless to say, it was the best dinner that week and the entire group loved the food, ambience and service. I booked another evening immediately for my upcoming personal visit back to Seattle!5/21/2013 12:00:00 AMA NY transplant finds a good one.Very good Italian food and drink. I have not seen a Spritz anywhere else in the area. I am from NY and have been generally disappointed with the Italian food since we moved here. The rabbit ragu was delicious with very good pasta and the antipasto plate was very good. A nice selection of meats, olives, etc. The olive oil cake was great.
I went here with my sister and will bring my husband here in a few weeks.
We can feed our Italian food jones finally.5/20/2013 12:00:00 AMThe Pink DoorHad a single night in Seattle and chose this restaurant off the back of various good online reviews. Unfortunately Monday night being a quieter night and earlier to close, it was not really the best of nights to give this type of restaurant the sort of review it requires because by the time we arrived (9pm) the entertainment had ended, which was a little disappointing - think it was a trapeze artist. Our waiter was Andrew who was friendly and was able to make some excellent recommendations. Couldn't fault the food and for the quality and portion sizes I think the prices are fair despite having read other reviews to the contrary. Made for a memorable evening and would certainly recommend it to anyone visiting Seattle.5/20/2013 12:00:00 AMPerfect Date NightThe food, the atmosphere, and the nightly entertainment are just fantastic. If you linger over dinner and take your time, you get a full show. The wait staff are courteous, and the menu fluctuates with the seasons making it a great place to return over and over.5/19/2013 12:00:00 AM70th birthdayGreat place to celebrate. Trapeaze artist was right by our table and put on a great show. Worried food would not compare due to entertainment factor but it did. Lasagna was heavenly.5/19/2013 12:00:00 AMHard to find but worth the huntI wasn't told up front but if you want burlesque: LInE UP at 830!! I made a reso via open door, thank GOD I put in a note that we wanted the show too.. So I got a call in the AM for the info. Burlesque is non reservable and first come first serve basis. We had a reso for 930, arrived at 850 thanks to call, but we're too late. Thankfully they have a waiting list (however this means no table for drinks)
Restaurant: small cozy an cute! I'm gluten/dairy intolllerant.. Since a lot of the food seems to be made off-site - Harder to accommodate: my hubby however was very happy with his meal. I came up with an idea that the chef ad my waitress hadn't even thought of (??)anyways. Good prices, show is a+++. Great night!!5/18/2013 12:00:00 AMfirst nighti have attended your establishment once in the past and really enjoyed it. This time i took my girlfiriend on our first nice date out. I knew that it would be a great place to enjoy a romantic night due to the ambience, wait staff and menu items. I must say that our experience at your restaurant was far and above one of the best dinner experiences weve ever had. Terrence was our waiter and he was absolutely phenomenal both as a someone that was personable to talk to and just a darn good waiter. Our wine selections were excellent and the dinner entree was an absolute delight. My girlfriend and i had a beautiful dinner and a beautiful experience at your establishment. Thank you.5/17/2013 12:00:00 AMAmazing food, bad service. For having the chutzpah to charge a $25 per person cancellation fee on reservations, The Pink Door sure doesn't care about holding up their side of the bargain. We arrived on time for our 9 pm reservation on a Friday and weren't seated until 9:25pm. We ordered drinks while waiting, only to be told 10 mins later that our party of 9 would be temporarily seated in the bar (as it turns out, at a table for 4), and, "No, we never put your drink orders in...yeah, you're going to have to repeat all of that in the bar". Yay!?! Once seated we didn't have the time to do appetizers or desserts; our waitress didn't fail to register her disappointment. The food was fantastic. The atmosphere was nice, but not a panty dropper. Be prepared to take your time.5/17/2013 12:00:00 AM30th Bday BashA perfect place for celebrating! The service was extraordinarily personable and attentive. The food makes me drool to just remember. Not an evening I will ever forget!!5/15/2013 12:00:00 AMFun spotFirst time here and I'd definitely go back and watch the trapeze artist next time.5/14/2013 12:00:00 AMPink Door is: THE BESTThe Pink Door is a bucket list experience. From the ambience to the food, service and entertainment- it simply doesn't get any better than this. If Terrance is working, request him to be your waiter- he is smooth, knowledgeable and a true gentleman. I will be back! We are still talking about this dinner and will be for a very long time.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMYou've got a winner Seattle! It was one of those rare warm sunny May Seattle evenings and we were so lucky to eat outdoors. The view from the patio was
really lovely the sunset over the Sound was colorful and relaxing. The noise level was pretty lively as we entered the
main indoor dining area but seem to melt into a low hum as we entered the outdoor tables.
The server was very knowledgeable about the menu as well as
the local beer and wine selections. He was also friendly and cordial. The homemade pasta was delicious and they served it as an appetizer in half portions. I had the Cioppino, prawns mussels clams calamari, and although it said "spicy tomato sauce "there was nothing spicy about it,however, the fish was fresh. Altogether, great dining experience !!5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMReunionA reunion 41 years in the making, this early dinner on the lanai/patio was a wonderful surprise!
All of our orders were perfect. The servers were informed and pleasant, I would come back again in a flash. Delicious sauces, salsa's. The raw oysters melted in my mouth, yum!
The tiramisu was the only blah dish that we had. Thanks Pink Door!5/8/2013 12:00:00 AMService was simply outstandingService was simply outstanding - perfect ambiance for our group5/8/2013 12:00:00 AMPleasant Patio DiningWhen the weather is nice in Seattle the patio at the Pink Door can't be beaten. We thoroughly enjoyed fresh seafood, interesting regional beer, a fabulous not-too-sweet dessert.5/8/2013 12:00:00 AMThe pink doorEven though this restaurant doesn't have a sign, it was easy to find with it's pink door! Located on Post Alley right behind Pike's place Market. The weather cooperated and we were able to sit on the outside deck looking out onto the (Puget) Sound. Classy and tasty drinks were served quickly by attentive wait staff. Italian influenced menu. Continuous water service is the sign of a true top-notch restaurant. Great for locals and visitors (if you find it!)5/8/2013 12:00:00 AMDelightful experiencewe enjoyed the trapeze entertainment as well as the delicious dinner5/5/2013 12:00:00 AMLasagna with a view! The Pink Door was a wonderful find in Post Alley. We dined on the outside dining area with a wonderful view of Elliott Bay, Puget Sound. The lasagna was outstanding and the rest of our meal was wonderful Italian food which we enjoyed with a carafe of house wine. There was entertainment in the main dining room but we came to enjoy time as a couple and the ambiance and meal were very enjoyable. The view and weather were fantastic so the overall experience was great. No problem getting a reservation as it was a Sunday.5/5/2013 12:00:00 AMPerfect Saturday NightWe had a lovely table overlooking the water - every course of our meal was delicious and not pretentious. Despite being outside we were still sheltered enough to be warm. Our waiter was warm and friendly and attentive, but not obsequious. We had heard good things about Pink Door and now we know why. It was a real treat to eat there - I hope we can do it again soon. Prices were a bit high but considering the food and the view it was worth every penny.5/4/2013 12:00:00 AM
