This little gem is hard to find but well worth it once you get there. My wife and I went there in the early fall when the weather in Seattle is still sunny and mild. The outdoor seating with the view over the bay was perfect! This restaurant utilized their spices and herbs to enhance the flavor of their food and it was delicious. Get there before 1800 because it gets quite busy and crowded but the customer service is still good.

The Pink Door never disappoints. The food is very good and well presented. The service perfect. And the view from the terrace/patio overlooking Elliott Bay is great especially on warm days. I highly recommend the Pink Door. Even the inside dining area is great, sort of funky and definately not a cookie cutter chain place.

Had a thoroughly enjoyable and memorable dining experience with outstanding food and great service. We reside in Santa Cruz, CA, and traveled to Seattle for short vacation and old time's sake. We resided in Seattle area seven years (1995-2001) and used to dine at The Pink door every few months. It was great "coming home" and getting a table on outdoor patio area with a fantastic view.

My boyfriend and I really enjoyed ourselves. He ordered the scallops. They had a nice crust on them, they were buttery, well cooked, and just plain delectable. I ordered the peppercorn steak and I couldn't have been happier. The mashers with mascarpone were rich and delicious! For dessert we ordered the tiramisu. I thought it was good, but my boyfriend outright said it was the best he's ever had. We definitely plan on going back and would recommend to a friend...maybe even take visiting family there.

... and the acrobat inside was a pretty freakin' neat/ different experience. We sat on the deck outdoors, but moved inside to watch a couple of the performances. Not what I'd expect from a killer Italian restaurant, but very cool. Would absolutely go back even w/out the show. Service and food were both outstanding.

They happily took a party of 8 for lunch. I ordered the paglia e fieno (summer mushrooms, nipitella & light cream) and thought I had died and gone to heaven. Not cheap, but oh so worth it. On a recommendation, we had our first meal upon moving to Seattle one Monday night. Needless to say, we may have set the bar too high to begin learning this fantastic town. The ambiance is the right kind of busy with indirect lighting and mirrors among antiques in a dimmed, intimate setting. The menu is solid for Italian. Do the lasagna, don't think twice. Add a pair of hefty meatballs if you must carne. Caprese and risotto were also incredible decisions. We will be back. Don't be between me and the menu if you value your life.

I had never been to the Pink Door before and was pleasantly surprised. It is located near Pike Place Market on Post Alley, and actually has a pink door (a light pink). My friend and I had lunch on the outdoor patio with a great view of Eliot Bay. We both had pasta dishes that were excellent. I would highly recommend the paparadelle Bolognese. I will definitely be back!

On a recent visit to Seattle, we returned to The Pink Door after many years. A beautiful night, we were seated on the deck overlooking the water. Very busy, with lots of happy diners. Good menu, food was delicious (excellent Caesar salad), and well presented. Our only complaint was that the service was a bit slow, but a wonderful dessert made us forget about the delays. Good night at The Pink Door.

We had a wonderful lunch at the Pink Door the other day. My only complaint is the door isn't really Pink and it is a tad hard to find. We were on Post Alley with other lookers who had walked right by. Once in, we went back to the outdoor porch and it was just lovely. The water view was perfect for our guest to Seattle. Our lunches were delicious. No complaints at all. They even took care of my food allergies and helped me order appropriately and redid the sauce for me. I am looking forward to our return visit to The Pink Door.

Went for our 30th wedding anniversary. We started with the calamari as an appetizer. Hands down this was the best calamari I've ever had the pleasure to consume and I'm a calamari fanatic. I had the spaghetti with clams, mussels and prawns that also contained squid and calamari rings. It was to die for. Dessert was the chocolate raspberry cake. The size was a bit small, but it was otherwise tasty. I highly recommend this place for a special occasion dinner. It's right in the Pike Market and has a lovely view of Elliott Bay.

I took my boyfriend here for his 21st birthday. We got there a bit early and they said that they would prepare a table for us, so a hostess lead us to the bar. There were no seats and she said to just sit on the stage, but it was very awkward and people were laughing at us, so we went to a different host and he seated us outside. It was a bit chilly but they offer blankets, which I thought was very nice! We had the meatballs as well as the bruschetta and the steak, plus chocolate cake for dessert. Everything was delicious and perfectly seasoned! The service was a bit slow, but very good considering how packed the place was. Definitely recommend making reservations if you want to get into this place. Overall a lovely experience!

It's been a couple of years since I last remembered to dine at The Pink Door, and gosh, have I been missing out! I'd forgotten how well-prepared, fresh and tasty everything on the menu is, and what a treat it is to dine overlooking the Market at Elliott Bay. The online reservations are for their tables outdoors (seasonal), so if you reserve via OpenTable, voila-- you have a table outdoors! I was a little worried about sitting outdoors as the sky was a bit gray... worry not! The first tiny drops of rain brought out a nearly-invisible sliding awning-- hidden behind the latticework overhead-- to keep us warm and dry even while it sprinkled around us. The Pink Door is a treat: and try the cioppino-- it's Northwest-fresh, tasty & perfect!

Not our first time at Pink Door, but few times better than August: great weather for outdoor seating and heirloom tomato season are tough to beat. Whether it's in bruschetta or caprese salad (our choice), heirloom tomatoes are to be savored. Likewise, some of Seattle's best meatballs are great in a sub or on the side (the latter this time, but both are winners). Crab/sweet-corn risotto was "heaven in a bowl," according to my wife, and GF, too (one of several GF offerings). The wine list offers many options, but for lunch we usually go with a half-carafe if house wine and have ever been disappointed. Reservations strongly recommended, even if you're arriving at opening.
