Very disappointed with the meals. Smallest portion of vegetables I have ever received, and they were cold and pickled. Served flat beer but was given the last dregs of the barrel free. Lamb was very salty although well cooked. My wife's chicken meal was OK. Would not recommend this place. My poorest meal of the holiday. Only gave two stars because my wife's meal was ok.

My wife and I went to the Pink Door for our anniversary. We always save up for a nice restaurant for that night. This place was perfect. I cant remember having better Italian food. Unfortunately we couldn't afford dessert and still give a good tip so we skipped dessert. The service was wonderful. I literally savored every bite of my food. I couldn't have asked for more.

Having a reservation for Saturday's lunch saved us from a long wait as this place is very popular. The service was efficient and friendly. The food was awesome. Best New York steak I have ever had. It was tender and cooked to perfection. We have friends coming to visit, and the Pink Door will be on our places to visit list.

While the Pink Door is right in the middle of the crowded tourist area, once you go through that pink door, the rest of the world melts away. We had a delightful dinner on the back porch, with a partial view of the bay. We enjoyed a great Barolo and some wonderful food in a terrific atmosphere. What's not to love about that. The service was stellar, and the weather was wonderful. It was a great night in Seattle.

I made a reservation over 3 weeks in advance for a Wednesday night and requested to be seated outside on the patio. The day of, I confirmed that I wanted to be seated outside and when we showed up at 7:48 for our 7:45 reservation, the hostess said she had already marked us as "no show" and given away our table. We were placed in the back of the dining room so we could not see the patio or even the band. This was extremely disappointing since it was my birthday and I had made reservations so far in advance. Besides the hostess, overall the food was great, the server was attentive, and we appreciated the real candles.

Be aware that there is no actual sign on the door -- just a pink door in Post Alley, so find it by the address. Our waitress was wonderful. She made good suggestions and we tried several different items, all of which were delicious. The bruschetta and caprese appetizers were excellent and included large slices of the best tomatoes we have ever eaten (the bruschetta did not have diced tomatoes, but sliced) flavored gently with herbs to bring out the natural taste. As mains, three of us had the lasagne, the cioppino, and the Pappardelle Al Ragù Bolognese and each was delicious and delicate with robust but not over-powering flavors. I would come back tomorrow if I weren't trying to experience more of the city.

This is very good but not great food, but given the quantities (huge appetizers) and prices it is well worth a trip. The food is fresh, and somewhat creative - the olive oil with the bread, for example, is noteworthy. We shared a grilled calamari appetizer and it was the highlight of the meal. The pasta fruiti de mari, by contrast was relatively bland despite the description. The wine list is broad and reasonable, and has several half bottles, always a pleasant surprise.

I always think that it is a great sign when it is difficult to get a reserv. This palace was great all of the food was fresh (like it had been purchased from pikes market). It was beautifully prepared. I had the NY strip steak and my husband had the crab risotto, both outstanding. We started with the heirloom tomato salad it was the best. Can't say enough good about it! We will definitely return.

I was at Pike Place Market doing some shopping and decided that Pink Door sounded good for lunch. On a Saturday in August with the cruise ships in town... well, the neighborhood was quite busy. On a whim, I made a reservation for one at 11:30 when they open. Good choice. The entire deck and bar filled up within minutes. Service was prompt and friendly. I ordered the scallops. Typically, a scallop entree is a rather small serving, but I left with a "to go" box. The scallops were cooked perfectly and the carrot sauce was to die for. I wanted to lick my plate. The server was kind enough to check with the chef for the exact ingredients of the carrot sauce so I can try to replicate at home. The green bean salad was fresh & satisfying

My son and I had a great lunch on a warm, sunny Friday. Our server (wish I'd remembered his name) was very attentive, helpful with menu items and the wine selection. Just the right amount of checking back, seeing that we were doing well, really pleasant. The food is so nice and fresh and served hot and quickly. We did not have to wait for a thing, or remind for more water, etc. Appreciated the ice bucket with the wine, so many places don't do that anymore. Spot-on service, gorgeous view, yummy menu, best place in town to take friends and out-of-towners for a memorable Seattle dining experience. I will keep coming back !

Overall, the dining experience fell far from expectations due to all the hype surrounding The Pink Door. The paglia e fieno was simple and tasty but the smoked ahi tuna carpaccio was bland and underseasoned with a terrible presentation. I also had, quite frankly, one of the worst cocktails I have ever had. The indoor decor and ambience was great but the outdoor scene was a tacky and low end mish-mash. There are better options available, especially for $50.

The location is so special. Not only is it in a vibrant part of Seattle, but the "secret" entrance adds to the draw. The food is fantastic and the staff were very attentive and great at giving personally based food and drink suggestions. The late night entertainemnt really adds to the special feel of the Pink Door. Friday nights are better for music and cool 1960's tunes. Saturday night has the burlisque show that is unique. I preferred the Friday music, but both shows were well worth it.

It was such a pleasure to see the abundance of fresh vegetables on their menu and in the 'featured items" for dinner that night. The server informed us that 90% of the produce in their restaurant is currently from Butler farms on Bainbridge. .. all organic. We were also impressed with the wine list.. many of the wines are organic and or bio-dynamic, of which we are fans. Service was warm, efficient not intrusive. Prices were a great value when you experience the "free" entertainment along with the creative, not trendy, decor.

We have had this place on our "have to go" list based on friends recommendations for a couple of years. Our meal last Saturday evening ranks as one of the top dining experiences we have had in Seattle. It hit on all notes - delicious food, excellent professional wait-staff and service as well as a beautiful patio dining experience. The bruschetta with heirloom tomatoes on garlic infused crusty bread was wonderful. The scallops were amazing and the spinach lasagne with bechamel, pesto and marinara sauces was the best dish I've had in any restaurant in the past year. The waiter was great; good flow without interrupting our conversations and really knew the menu and the wine list. All in all, a memorable meal!
