Diner Reviews
  • "Great food and great place overall! Would definitely recommend checking it out. We weren't there for any of the entertainment but still had a great time. "

  • "I liked the ambiance, and the wait staff was very attentive and kind. The food seemed on the smaller side for the amount we paid, which was disappointing. the appetizers and dessert were tiny and not really extraordinary, but the spinach lasagna was fantastic. the inside was very nice, and there were aerobatics going on when we came in. it felt a little close with all the tables, but was not too crowded which was good. we made a reservation which made things easier. overall, good place, especially if trying to impress a date, but definitely pricey!"

  • "Had a wonderful dinner and experience at the Pink Door on Saturday April 18th. It is a unique place and perfect for parties of 2 to 4. We are already planning our next trip with friends."

  • "We enjoyed the food and some. Our server was pleasant and efficient. The cocktails very well mixed. We were expecting a trapeze show it being Friday but here was not one. A little disappointed but overall very good. Would go again. Would recommend to friends."

  • "Dined with hubby and another couple for Seattle Restaurant Week, and had a wonderful time. Food, service and atmosphere were impeccable. The Pink Door is very romantically lit and laid out, the live music complementary to table conversation, and the food artfully prepared and presented, without the snobbery of other like-fine restaurants. Our server and I miscommunicated over my wine order and she attended to it very graciously. We are eager to return on a weekend to see the trapeze entertainment!"

  • "I went with a friend to Seattle restaurant week and the meal was absolutely incredible. The noodles tasted so fresh and the sauces were full of flavor without being too heavy. The dessert was great too. Fantastic place to go!"

  • "But it was raining the day I came for a business lunch and at 1:00 the it was chaotic inside and you almost had to shout over the hubbub. By the time we left at 2:30 it was calm and peaceful. Would be a lovely place for a lazy late lunch. The staff was extremely professional and maintained a warm attentive welcoming tone in spite of being obviously extremely busy."

  • "This was our first time eating at The Pink Door. We were 2 couples celebrating my husband's birthday before attending a concert. We scheduled dinner for 2.5 hours before the show & that allowed us just the right amount of time to have a meal without rushing. My husband and I had the cheese plate, salumi plate, pasta with bolognese sauce and meatballs, and the flourless cake with caramel sauce and espresso cheesecake for dessert. All items were excellent, especially the desserts! This was a prix fixe meal for $28 per person, a real bargain! My husband also included the wine paring option for $10 (4 glasses of wine). The acrobatic show only happens Sun/Mon, so plan accordingly. We will just have to come back!"

  • "A Seattle Classic. Great views of the Sound, especially at sunset on the upstairs patio. Cool bistro setting downstairs. Food is exceptional."

  • "I cannot rave enough about how much my family loved this restaurant. We were there during Restaurant Week, so we got a great deal and got to try different food options. The wait staff was remarkable...fast and very helpful. The food was out of this world. This was by far our favorite meal of the entire weekend we were there. Kudos to you Pink Door. Keep up the good work."

  • "Found the Pink Door on the list of Seattle's Restaurant Week and selected it because of the menu and location. Loved all of our dishes-lasagne, risotto and the ahi tuna. As well, the cheese plates and salumi were VERY tasty! The bits of dessert - flourless chocolate cake, espresso cheesecake and pavlova were perfect in their preparation and while I initially thought the servings were small, they were just right due to their rich flavor. We saw some "regular" patrons next to us order a antipasto plate that looked amazing! We WILL be back to enjoy that and other menu items-I am so glad that the Pink Door participated in Restaurant Week as now we know a nice restaurant with a great view (this time of year) and delightful menu."

  • "We have lived in the Eastside for almost 8 years and never eaten at Pink Door. Though we have heard of Pink Door, we never ventured to try it. What a mistake! We had such a nice experience and delicious dinner during Seattle Restaurant Week in April. It really is an iconic must experience for Seattlites. The restaurant fully captures all elements of what makes Seattle special--diversity, holistic and tasty food, and art. The trapeze artisit was to cherry on the top of the sundae. She was gifted and fluid in her graceful movements and a joy to watch."

  • "This restaurant has it figured out. Great food, great atmosphere, character and great service. If you're reading this review trying to figure out if you should go here, quite messing around and just do it ;)"

  • "My boyfriend and I went here for dinner, and it was great. Very romantic, attentive service, amazing atmosphere. My only complaint is when we ordered our dinner our waitress asked us if we wanted anything with our entres. She mentioned a salad and a couple other things I can't recall. So we asked for two side salads to later find out we got charged $9 for each salad. We were under the impression it came with the entree with the way she worded it. We were a little put off by that. That's the only thing that kept me from giving 5 stars. I'd still go back."

  • "I make it a point to go to The Pink Door every time I am in Seattle. I crave the Lasagna. The servers are fun and the view is beautiful. It's like a treasure hunt finding The Pink Door...what a treasure."

  • "I booked through the Seattle restaurant week website, only to find when we arrived that the special menu was not available on Friday night. So we were a bit disappointed about that but otherwise had an excellent night."

  • "This little Italian gem tucked into an alley with virtually no identification is worth the search. Excellent service, very good food, and surprising entertainment"

  • "Went to the Pink Door for lunch to enjoy the dine around Seattle 3 course meal. The food was great, but the service was poor. My husband and I waited 30 minutes before we got bread, water, or our wine. This was after we ordered our food. One server spilled water all over my husband and our table. When we asked the server various questions about our food, he had no idea what the ingredients were."

  • "If you didn't know where and what it was, you'd never find it, but I don't think it's a problem for them. This is a really unique restaurant, in a cellar, but so eclectically elegant. Tables were close to each other, yet you could have a conversation. A great find!"

  • "Once again, some of the best lasagna (I wasn't going to have two this time but I couldn't resist having a second helping as the first was so good)."
    Dined on 4/8/2014
  • "My husband thought it was some of the best pasta he has ever had. The lasagna is also very good. We especially enjoyed the fixed prix menu for Seattle Restaurant Week. Excellent cheese on the appetizer cheese board (sheep, goat, cow). Be sure to make a reservation."

  • "My favorite place to eat in all of Seattle. great FOOD AND GREAT ENTERTAINMENT!"
    Dined on 4/7/2014
  • "I thought from other reviews that there was a cabaret and that on a Saturday evening we'd see a performer with our dinner. Unfortunately not, which was disappointing. I recommend checking their website or schedule carefully or come not expecting a performance. It also took more than an hour for our entree and our server didn't check in or seem aware of the wait."

  • "The place a little hard to find as there are 3 different entrances that were not from any main street. But once you're there, the place has such a great personality and the food tasted authentic and different. You start with celery with olive oil, and their calamari was sauteed. I had seared scallops for my main course and it was divine. I would probably only go once for the experience since there was other food there that I would prefer to go to."
