A word from The Pines Steakhouse - San Manuel Indian Bingo & Casino
Located on the second floor of the San Manuel Casino, the critically acclaimed Pines Steakhouse has established itself as a hideaway for foodies seeking a dining adventure in the Inland Empire. Tucked away from the excitement of the casino gaming floor, behind giant frosted glass doors, the Pines has all the glitz and glamour of a Las Vegas style dining room. From the oversized scarlet red booths, to the gold lit bar top, the experience is pure decadence. The menu is modern American and features richly marbled center-cut U.S.D.A PRIME steaks including a 20 oz Bone in Rib eye and a 14 oz. boneless New York Strip Steak. Other menu highlights include tender 10 oz. Filet Mignon, slow roasted Prime Rib, and world class seafood such as Giant Alaskan Red King Crab Legs slathered in garlic butter, Scottish Salmon with Vera Cruz Butter, and Miso Chilean Sea bass. All entrees at the Pines (excluding pasta dishes) include the Chef's daily selection of fresh vegetables.Continued

Diner Reviews
  • "We were greeted with smiles and taken to our table with no wait. The menus were electrically backlit and I appreciated that having bad eyes. The service was awsome and our food was promptly delivered to us. My wife had the sea bass and I had the rib eye.....(I should have gotten the sea bass as well, guys, always listen to your wife's). The casino have us 10% off with our players cards and I received an additional $10.00 off for my birthday. We had cheesecake for dessert and I don't like cheese cake but this was so good I ate half. We highly recommend this restraunt."

  • "The food was well prepared! We both had the prime rib. Not the best we've ever had, but it was tasty. The service was excellent. The "small plate" selections were really tasty!"

  • "Great dinner along with great service. The filet mignon was cooked to perfection and the chilean sea bass was excellent."

  • "This has ben one of my favorite restaurants and a welcome respite from the casino floor and noise. I have ordered the lamb chops many times and they have been one of my favorite dishes. However, they changed the method of preparation and the lamb chops now come with a sour taste that permeates throughout the plate. Even the rice was sour which my companion confirmed and the usually wonderful asparagus was over salted or also changed in some way. I suggest a warning to customers that they will not receive what they expect and to make their choice accordingly."

  • "New to the area. Found a great place to just relax & enjoy. Pines is elegant yet comfortable. Always greeted by bright friendly staff, seated away but not isolated from others. Server Amanda is on her game nightly! Super friendly yet highly professional. Support is very attentive, accurate and will still have a chat/laugh with you. Every dish we've tried has met or exceeded expectations. Wine is what it should be, but artisan bartenders deliver absolutly perfect cocktails. What they should be, not just rocket fuel. Can't beat the Prix Fixe offerings for value. Desserts to die for! Our favorite place to dine."

  • "The food was great in every way: taste, presentation, quality. Kudos to the chef and kitchen. The service was very good. The servers worked in a team and were very attentive and friendly. However, the decor of the restaurant was extremely plain/boring; it didn't feel like a steakhouse and did not match the quality of the food."

  • "Party of 4. 1. Rib Eye Steak ordered Medium, served Rare. 2 Sirloin Steak ordered Medium-Well, Served Rare. Both Steaks sent back returned to table in same condition (not acceptable as re-served). Waited in excess of 1 hour for our Meals, requested additional bread which took 25 minutes. 3. 3rd Diner's Rib Eye Steak was prepared as ordered. 4. 4th Diner's Salmon was prepared as ordered. Served Skimpy amount of Condiments to top Baked Potatoes. 2 out of 4 Meals were not acceptable as served so rating reflects that . We have dined at the Pines Numerous times in the past with a rating of very good to excellent. This was our worst experience ever. It is questionable if we will return."

  • "When we were just considering a visit to San Manuel to celebrate fathers day, I went on Open Table and booked dinner at The Pines. We did head to the casino with the family making it the most expensive fathers day ever!!!! Although my daughter was hungry prior to the 5pm opening of the restaurant and the buffet was calling her, I knew holding out for the delicious, quality food at The Pines would be worth it. It was all perfect fulfilling my hopes and promises to my family. Although there are many choices, I find the fixed menu to have everything I desire and the price is only three pulls on a max bet playing a nickel slot machine. Crystal was exceptional serving party."

  • "Despite the food and service being very good as always on arrival the hostess tells us before she seats us we must pay cash for our dinner because the casino credit card system had been down for two days. She could have told me in advance because I called an hour earlier to confirm my booth request & let them know we were running 15 minutes late! Of course we had cash on us because we'd planned to gamble but I honestly would have stopped at an ATM to get more money and avoid the high fees to use their ATM. The whole thing sounds fishy that a casino of that size could have no credit card access for two days!"

  • "This is one of several times we have been there for dinner. We brought some friends this time. The food as always was outstanding. There is not to many places you can dine at and get medium rare prime rib. "

  • "Great food, offering prix fixe menu for the best deal possible at this restaurant. They need to play more upscale music. We dine here at least twice a year, usually for special occasions. If we could bring people under 21 we might eat here more often. I really love the food and wish that all places could make it taste this good. "

  • "For being out in San Bernardino, this place is fantastic. This time I had the prix fixed meal with the French Onion Soup, Salmon, and Creme Brule. One word ... DELICIOUS! And service was top notch too. Definitely will return again."

  • "The food was actually better this time, the steak was salty my first time there. The drinks are over priced but the meal is good and it's a nice to eat here before a show. "

  • "A place that calls itself a steakhouse should have great steak. The Pines does not. It is mediocre at best. If this were 1/2 the price then it would be worth it. Don't think I'll ever eat here again."

  • "THIS WAS OUR SECOND TIME AT THE PINES. IT WAS GREAT JUST LIKE THE FIRST TIME. WE BOTH HAD THE PRIX FIXE MENU FILET MIGNON WITH BAKED POTATO AND ASPARAGUS. FOR DESERET WE BOTH HAD THE CHOCOLATE MOLTEN CAKE. THE WHOLE DINNER WAS GREAT AND I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THE PINE."

  • "Went there for a late B-day dinner 40 minutes before the Kitchen was closing. The ambiance is nice and eating in a circular booth gives it the romatic touch. Service was good not exceptional cause our waitress forgot 2 requests that were made during the dinner. The food was delicious! ordered the 20oz rib-eye med well with steamed veggies and mash potatoes. Cant stop the raving about the food. Have t say one of the best places I have eaten where the food taste did not dissapoint. Definitely a place to eat at if you are at the casino."

  • "The food was top notch, we really enjoyed our dinner for our wedding anniversary, with one exception. An older foreign born couple were sitting across from our booth. The restaurant was very quiet and pleasant, not very busy. The couple looked like they walked in from the casino and were dressed sloppy (this is a nice restaurant, she had a curler in her hair). They were blasting a cell phone watching videos, taking away from the experience. Very rude. The staff had to notice, but did not act. Service staff were very nice and professional when dealing with our meal. We received a complimentary dessert in recognition of our 24th anniversary, a very nice touch. My compliments to the chef!"

  • "We had a really nice dinner at the Pines. We were pleasantly surprised. It is all enclosed so it is quiet with no noise from the casino action. The service was great. They had lots of wait staff and support staff. They were all pleasant and helpful. Enjoyed it very much. One thing about the whole casino. No alcoholic beverages served before p.m. during the week. We were told that is because they are close to a school."

  • "My wife and I had a wonderful meal at the Pines prior to seeing Dana Carvey and Dennis Miller. The decor is stylishly contemporary with plenty of space between tables. The service was exemplary from bar service to appetizers to maincourse and dessert. The menu has great offerings and a very reasonably priced Prix Fixe menu. My wife had the Petite Filet (5 oz) Prix Fixe offering which included a salad, vegetables and baked potato and a wonderful cheesecake dessert. I opted for the Chilean Sea Bass, perfectly cooked. All in all, a wonderful evening; we would gladly recommend the Pines to everyone whether you are going to see a show or if you just want a great meal at a very fair price."

  • "The steak was good but overly salted. It was a great cut of meat but was slightly over powered. The drinks were small but good and the service was good too. We'll go back when we see another show. "

  • "The restaurant is great!! food is tasty, waiters are friendly, but the bar and bartenders are worthless! Everything was super great until we deicieded to stay to dance. Again everything was awesome except the bartenders they honestly spoile the place! They make it really hard to recommend or come back, just HORRIBLE!!!"

  • "I took my husband to the Pines steakhouse for his birthday, we have dined there several times. The hostess Skarleth is always so nice to us as is the rest of the staff. Food was wonderful and they brought a beautiful presentation desert plate for his desert. We both think the Pines is a special place to dine at."

  • "although i made an online reservation, they did not have my reservation on the computer. i even showed them my confirmation email. however, we did get seated because the restaurant was nearly empty. food, as always, was delicious. i did order the lobster bisque soup and did not really like it, but she did not take it off our bill. everything else was very good and well presented. we will be back!"

  • "My wife and I have eaten here many times in the last two years. We are always impressed with the food and the wait staff. Best steak around. You would have to drive to Palm Springs to get a better steak! Their fixed priced menu can't be beat."

  • "The Pines was a great surprise. I really like Cielo and Morongo and Great Oak at Pechanga...that said, the steak I had was perfect medium rare. Vernon (our waiter) was spot-on with everything and the booth we had was quite comfortable. Ambience is the downside. VERY loud due to the size of the bar and the proximity to all of the tables. Overall great service and great value...too bad it's in San Manual Casino (yuck!)."

  • "This was our second time there. Each time we go to the San Miguel Casino we visit the pines."

  • "Well, along with our usual prime rib dinner, we tried the small plates this time. The presentation on all three was very nice (Ahi tuna, hangar steak, shrimp with lettuce wrap) but we weren't overwhelmed by any of them. We thought the shrimp wrap was the best of the three. The hangar steak wasn't as tender as our beloved prime rib so it can't compare. Maybe next time, we'll try some of the other small plates."

  • "My husband and I have eaten at The Pines many time over the past couple of years. We also have held a banquet in one of their rooms. We have never been disappointed. The food has been excellent as well as service and ambience. Highly recommended is their all inclusive menu which is an excellent value. Only wish they would bring back the chocolate peanut butter pie. The best I have ever had."
