"Food, service and ambiance just do not compare to Alan Wong's on King, even though he owns this one. The chili butter that comes with the cold bread rolls was really tasty and the most memorable thing I ate."

"We are always, always treated like royalty at The Pineapple Room. David, the manager, came by when we were having lunch to make sure everything was nice. All of your employees are wonderful and treat us like family. Thank you so much!"

"Disappointed! While the food was excellent -- maybe even better than normal. The evening was ruined by poor management. Between the first and second course there was an unwelcome one hour delay. Our waitress informed us that there would be a slight delay as the kitchen was backed up with a large party in the back. After about 30 minutes, we contacted the manager -- he indicated that he would see what he could do -- but offered no apology or additional information. Only about 30 minutes later as we began to prepare to depart, without completing the meal, did the management begin to react."

"The Pineapple Room was recommended by our hotel concierge. From start to finish this place is very below average and definitely overpriced for the level of food quality, service and ambiance. We had drinks, an app, two kids meals and two entrees. $150 with tip. Cocktails were overpriced-and very unremarkable. I could get better for less poolside at the resort. My short ribs appetizer was tasty but mushy. The onion bread and aioli was tasty but the bread was out of the fridge cold. Meals came out at 3 different times a total of 15 min apart. Service was slow. My ahi tuna was clearly either previously frozen, poor quality, and/or severely over cooked. If you have the choice, go to Roy's. For a few bucks more, you get the real thing."

"All fish preparations were delicious. Short ribs on the lunch menu are to die for, outstanding flavor. Order the soybeans with your drink order right when you are seated. Eat while you review the menu. Gavin is a great waiter here, on the ball and personable. Love this place, only second to Alan Wong's on King street."
