Suggested this new restaurant on the continuous search of good bbq with a good ambiance. This hit the spot! Deviled eggs with eggplant compote - amazing! The ribs were huge and full of delicious flavor. Mac n cheese was amazing and a meal in itself. Would have given five stars but couldn't due to poor service (server appeared half asleep and unenthusiastic) for just serving raw oysters but nothing else to emphasize the "Pearl".

I was disappointed by this restaurant. If you want BBQ do not go here. The only thing that makes the place a BBQ restaurant is that they have BBQ sauce on the table. My turkey was dry and my fiancée's brisket was fatty. Probably won't be going back here.

We were excited to try the new restaurant at Atlantic Station & were extremely disappointed. The service was just OK & the food wasn't great. We tried several small items so maybe we should have tried an entree. The short ribs you could barely chew they were so over cooked, the pimento cheese balls (can't think what they called them) were very rich & heavy, the crust on the outisde of them could have been thicker. We also had the deviled eggs (there were 3....weird # to have & the presentation was not appealing) the mac & cheese and the vinegar coleslaw (best thing we ate). We might give it a try after they've been open for awhile.

You have to try this place. I love BBQ - I've lived in Memphis, KC, Austin, and Atlanta ... So I've had my fair share of good BBQ. I was not only pleasantly surprised with my meal at Pig & Pearl, but borderline blown away. The Brisket was outstanding, and really loved the compliment of sauces. Check it out. I can't wait to back.

Seven of us went and found the atmosphere to be vibrant- bordering on being too loud to carry on a conversation with anyone but the person directly across the table. Service was a bit slow but they were busy with what we assumed was an unexpectedly large crowd for a Monday night during Midtown restaurant week

It is rare that I rate a place with "Outstanding" service but The Pig and The Pearl staff really stood out from my normal eating out experiences. There were well staffed and everyone repeated checked in on us - not just our server. My husband requested steamed instead of raw oyster - they grilled the oysters for us and they were delicious! Fun and tasty food; fancy BBQ but a relaxed atmosphere.

My wife and I dined at Pig & Pearl this past Friday and were very disappointed. After taking our drink order my wife asked for a gluten free menu, which apparently does not exist. We told our server my wife has a gluten allergy and asked for which menu items were gluten free. She responded that everything could be made gluten free, which is unlikely. We ordered the heirloom tomatoes as an appetizer. The tomatoes were not ripe and lacked flavor. I had the pork shoulder which was equally as bland, lacking in smoky flavor and covered with a crumble and mustard sauce which did not work together - terrible dish. My wife's brisket was okay, not spectacular. Our sides, the sweet potatoes and mustard greens were decent.

We love The Shed so we were looking forward to trying The Pig and The Pearl. We were not disappointed. Starting with one of the best Moscow Mules I have had in Atlanta, the meal continued to be great. I had the BEST brunswick stew I have ever had (and I am a big fan of brunswick stew). The creamed corn was a fabulous side. My husband got the brisket sandwich. It was not lean enough for him but it had a great flavor. We finished by sharing an adult version of a s'more. Excellent! We will be back.

The restaurant has opened for a month and my friends and I have been to the place three times. We tried dry rub BBQ ribs, smoked scallop, kale salad, pork belly, duck and sausage. They are all very delicious! Dessert is also very tasty and unique. The restaurant has a variety of selections for beer and wine. It's also quite nice to sit in the bar. Make sure you make a reservation during the weekend. IT WAS PACKED.

The food was average at best. Nothing stood out as delicious. Everything was cooked properly but nothing was interesting. If I could make it at home, then it's not worth going out for. Ambience was way too stark. Lights too bright and the manager walking around with his shirt untucked. Server was friendly but didn't know the menu very well. Won't go back.

The place is new and you can tell. We were one of ten tables and while the drinks came quickly the food did not. Overall the food was good not great appetizers tended to be over salted the kale was too old for the salad. The brisket was good not great. Our waiter sort of abandoned us once the food was running late. Needs time to age

We had a really great meal. the atmosphere and ambience is fresh and exciting but not overly done. While we didn't try the oysters (I will on my next visit) everything we had was really delicious. There were 3 of us and so many things on the appetizer list were so appealing that we virtually at all appetizers. Our favorites were the buffalo pork skins, pimento cheese croquettes, lobster salad and deviled eggs. Will definitely be back to sample more of the meat. Great wine list, passionate owner (who stopped by our table) and friendly staff. The place will be a hit/

We went on a Sunday afternoon and it wasn't too crowded, the service was good and the staff was nice. The cocktails were awesome and I loved the names of them. My friend had the salmon sashimi, which she said was amazing, I had the short ribs and those were great, but had less meat on them than I was expecting. The kale salad was good and made for great leftovers as well. I'd recommend the restaurant to a friend as an easy place to go that has good food.

Seriously. Why are you not eating there yet? Staff? Incredible. & not just the waitress (Jen) who was assigned our table, but EVERYONE-- they were all helpful and polite & seemed to genuinely want to make our visit pleasent. I expressed to Jen that I have a gluten allergy &our daughter has a dairy allergy &she could not have been more helpful or accommodating. Our table had the ribs, brisket, pulled pork, roasted carrots, Mac/cheese, deviled eggs, and chocolate pots de creme. Wow. We couldn't finish it all but couldn't stand to leave it so it'll be lunch tomorrow! Everything was seasoned perfectly- they let the meat speak for itself w/o overloading it w/ other flavors. All was seriously so good. And the drinks- GET THE MOCKINGBIRD. Trust.

We went with serious foodies and had a really special meal. Since we wanted to taste a lot of things, we asked for family service and shared all the foods around the table. We ordered the pulled pork, brisket and the tuna and all were Great! Brisket is normally not my first choice, but it was truly good and I will order again. We had the carrots, smoked onion, sweet potatoes and slaw for sides -- some different flavors and well prepared. I had a Mockingbird cocktail -- great summer drink! For desserts we tried the Elvis and the Churros, both good with a leaning towards the churros. The service was excellent and the whole ambience was very welcoming and the restaurant itself was very attractive. We will definitely go again!

from the name i expected a bbq place that also served oysters. no bbq but the spareribs, which my friend, who knows food, really liked. the brisket and the pork shoulder were roasts, not bbq, and were okay, but a long way from wonderful. tried two of the sides, the baked beans and the sweet potato slices: both mediocre. i didn't get to try the oysters, which were a good selection of five, and the restaurant itself is right at the valet parking!

    AtlantaFoodiesVIP
    Dined on 8/10/2014
The Pig & the Pearl delighted us with outstanding food at unusually low prices. The Lobster Salad is certainly the most generous serving and best price ($12) for perfectly cooked, tender chunks of lobster surrounded by crisp crackers. My husband had a smoky Beef Belly 'Delmonico' with crusted mashed potato topping and although the tender meat was superb on its own, there are 3 barbecue sauces on each table to amp up the heat if desired. The smoked cheddar Mac 'N Cheese with melted cheddar over rich, very creamy (not solid) mac underneath, was just the way I like it; his smoked sweet potatoes with spiced pecans were luscious. Service was attentive & helpful without being intrusive. The atmosphere is sleek, with a center showy bar.
