Our meal was delicious. From our Watermelon and Feta salad to the Sea Bass and onto a frozen Pistachio dessert. We loved it. They have outdoor dining and on my next visit, which will be soon, I would like to dine outside. It looked very romantic. The waitstaff was polite, knowledgeable and happily went back to the chef with a question we had. Our cocktails were well made. Parking is easy to find on the street.

The pier house is our go-to restaurant at the shore for the best meal and overall dining experience. The service is great - the entire staff is so kind, attentive, professional and knowledgeable when it comes to the menu. If you sit inside, there's a beautiful view. It can get a little noisy when it's crowded but it's better than being stuffy. The outdoor patio is wonderful and we had a great table. I always go for the watermelon salad and the macho tuna appetizers. I also love the salmon and the filet as well. If you like crabcakes, these are great as well. Actually - I've said it before and will say it again, I've never had a bad meal here.

On 7-6-07 we had our rehearsal dinner here and have never stopped coming back. George the owner has an outstanding establishment here and this past Monday 7-7-14 we had another great night celebrating our Wedding Anniversary. Carlo our server was fantastic with attention to detail for us, he made our evening that much more special with his great personality and conversation to TRUTH <>< EXCELLENT! Any time we are in CapeMay, The Pier House is always on our list for must do dinners.. Thank you very much George, you have an outstanding restaurant and beautiful staff with excellent food..Love this place : )

Definitely one of the best in the area for dinner and we have been to many places in this area! Upscale dining experience but with a casual feel. Food was delicious, well presented, nice sized portions and kitchen accommodated my husbands request. Our server was great and attentive on a busy evening. I also must note that pricing is better compared to the other restaurants in this class. I highly recommend and would dine here again without hesitation.

The place is very nice and the wait staff extremely attentive. But considering the prices the food was good but not outstanding. We also had an issue with the maître de who wanted to sit us at cramped tables at the bar when I specifically said we wanted dining room seating when confirming the reservation. She was not very nice at all. And if I'm paying top $$ I think I should be able to sit in the dining room. That left a bitter taste

Arrived at 7PM as planned, we had to wait in a small uncomfortable area while staff moved constantly in and out and through. There was an attempt at an explanation with a terse, detached attitude. Perhaps offer a better place to stand for the 15 minute wait or just be cordial? Service did not improve. Our server was engaged and helpful but clearly the restaurant is understaffed or disorganized somewhere in the operation; we saw him sporadically handling tables at the other side (outside/patio) of the restaurant. Dinner was very slow to arrive. The food was good, but you appetite suffers when you feel dis-regarded.

The food is the main attraction for us to this restaurant, but that would not be enough to compete so well with other Cape May restaurants. So, besides an amazing cuisine, continental with a quality greek touch, the unpretentious and bon gout decor, the professional and friendly service allow this place to always seem full with satisfied clients. The quality through the years is also very regular. It is definitely worse the drive on Beach Boulevard.

This was a repeat visit for us. We make sure we stop at least once a season. I had the roke salad. Another in our group had the watermelon salad - both delicious. I also had the lamb chop appetizer - very good and the chops were perfectly prepared an meaty. While the restaurant is a bit pricey we've enjoyed delicious food for many years. Highly recommended.

THE BEST CALAMARI I'VE EVER HAD! OUR ENTREES WERE EXCELLENT. (SWORDFISH TOPPED WITH JUMBO LUMP CRABMEAT) WASNT REAL CRAZY ABOUT BACKGROUND MUSIC. IT IS BILLED AS MEDITERRANEAN CUISINE, BUT THE MID-EAST MUSIC KIND OF TOOK AWAY FROM THE OTHERWISE ROMANTIC MOOD. (VOLUME COULD HAVE BEEN TURNED DOWN A NOTCH) OTHERWISE AN OUTSTANDING DINING EXPERIENCE. WE WILL RETURN!

2 of 3 entrees were very good but a shrimp entrée was overcooked, so I would suggest you avoid it. Same with dessert - 2 were good but a cannoli cake was either overdone or kept beyond it's freshness expiry date because it was very dry and needed a drink to wash it down. Our server was mostly absent and not very helpful. Although she answered questions we had, we wish we had the server from the table next to ours because she reviewed the menu with them, gave more information than what was on the menu about each dish, checked with them frequently about their meals, and was very warm and friendly. Overall, I would recommend this restaurant, but service and food could be a bit better.

The restaurant was beautiful n it's right on the water. The waitress came by and told us about their daily specials: grilled founders, bronzino and red snapper. She proudly explained that fish is the thing to get here, that is caught and brought to them daily. we were sold n ordered the grilled snapper.however when the fish arrived, it was deep-fried. if they did not charge us such steep price, we would just let it go. The waitress seemed to be very apologetic and quickly she got us the grilled branzino which was very lovely. Later when the bill came, both fish were on there. We questioned the waitress and she quickly bought her manager to our table. The manager can hardly contain her anger when she arrived to our table. will we return? NO!

Visited as a group of 6 girls celebrating a friend's upcoming nuptials. The martinis were perfection, including a "Grape martini" which tasted surprisingly natural (no artificial cough medicine grape flavor). The "Mango Martini" was a bit too syrupy sweet, but the "Pear Martini" was fabulous (just ask them to go light on the simple syrup). Many of us ordered salads or appetizers as our entrees, and every dish was delicious, especially the Watermelon Feta Salad, the Octopus (our culinary-minded friend from New York City said it was the best she'd ever had), and the Kalamari (so delicately & lightly fried, with 3 intriguing sauces to dip). Nice servers too - we requested a small dessert to honor the bride, and they happily acquiesced.

One of our favorite Cape May restaurants. The noise level was a little loud on Saturday night as the place was packed (with a number of large parties). Still the food outshines the need to raise your voice to be heard. From salads to hot & cold apps, I don't think we've ever had something we didn't enjoy. The Voodoo Pork chop was outstanding, charred on the outside, moist on the inside and full of flavor. As always the whole Red Snapper, flash fried, was fantastic along with the trio of dipping sauces. We keep trying to save room for our own desserts, but wind up sharing something (and not even finishing that - we are so full)! The service staff is outstanding and quite knowledgeable about the menu as well as the preparation of the food.
