  • "Meet my friend (who I have not seen in a year) for lunch. We ordered the 2 for 1 luncheon special:6 spinach salad and tenderloin. Excellent....perfect portion, steak cooked just right, fresh greens, delicious coffee. We enjoyed a very long lunch and never felt rushed. Will definely return."

  • "Took house guests here regaling them about our local gem. We're seated instantly and then, I think inadvertently forgetten. After waiting about 15 minutes for a " howdy", I approached the maître de. Water and bread eventually brought,..orders taken and the food was excellent. Waitress was very accommodating, but the water and bread peeps were non existent. Still will return as this was our first semi bad experience out of many. The service and food have always been impeccable. ( you guys asked)."

I had one of their specials (Fish stuffed with lobster) and though it was good it just didn't match my previous experience. In another restaurant I would have been very satisfied; but I expect better from the Perfect Caper."

From a couple appetizers, salad, multiple entrees, and desert everything I tasted was satisfying and something I would order again. I also try to avoid gluten, they use other flours such as rice or almond flour do a lot of their dishes so is gluten free friendly! Service was also great and nothing less than the best."

  • "I took my friends to the Perfect Caper as a treat and what a treat it was! The atmosphere is restful and calm and the service was amazing. Our server was experienced in that her advice was accurate for each taste that evening and she was friendly and efficient but not at all intrusive. I love my privacy. The lobster taco appetizers were to die for and my crabby scallops were cooked to perfection, leaving the scallops tender with the crab 'filling' on top. I very graciously shared a bite and the high rating was unanimous. Momma's chicken and the shrimp dish were also excellent. The recommended wine was perfect with our meal and in all it was a notable dining evening."

We visit because Punta Gorda is midway between us in Naples and our friends in Sarasota. We would be here far more often and definitely for dinner and music if the drive home weren't an hour. Try the Pork Belly Sandwich fabulous taste and grilled enough so as not to be fatty. Wow!"

  • "The food was truly excellent. I had the mussels and they were fresh, special and plentiful, especially for $10. I followed that with tuna tartar tacos and they were sensational. My husband had the twin duck pieces, one a leg and thigh confit, and the other duck breast, and he loved the dish. Said it was perfectly cooked. Our friend had the kale salad and the mushroom risotto and nothing was left on either plate. The bar tender seems to have a bit of an attitude and that would prevent me from every going back to their bar for a pre-dinner drink. But we most surely would return and even go out of our way to go back to the Perfect Caper. We needed a place between Englewood and Bonita Springs and this choice was spot on."

  • "Very busy Saturday night but staff obliged our request for quieter . Kale salad would work better with baby kale - too large a serving of tough leaves was too much for a predinner salad. The duck breast fared better than the confit which was dry. Scallops offered a predictable taste experience, as in, nothing exceptional. Homemade rice pudding was terrific promised the waiter, and he was right -delectably creamy and light, perfectly flavored. Service was friendly and efficient. Overall the restaurant delivered what a restaurant should but higher prices suggest higher expectations, and that was not the case here."
