When we asked to move there was no problem! Our waiter James was very helpful+attentive, told us everything about the menu, recommended wine that tasted perfect with the steak. Steaks are absolutely excellent. You cant find better steak! We had a bone-in-filet each and side order of garlic mash potatoes (everything tasted extremely good). starter shrimp cocktail with relish, horse radish and lemon which was delicious as well! Only minus was that we were billed about $70 too much when they mixed up our check with another table. We didnt realize until we had almost left that we paid too much. That made our tip go down a bit. Our server was unobtrusive, but attentive and polite. We were seated by a door and people kept going in and out and it was cold and irritating. We were moved and it was better. Also seated near a screaming kid...bad .We were then moved to the 2nd floor (piano bar level - VERY GREAT!!!). Food was terrific and the service was outstanding. We were celebrating our anniversary and, after we were moved to the quieter 2nd floor, they served us complimentary dessert and coffee. They are known for their butter cake and it was INCREDIBLE!!! Went here for my boyfriend's birthday, and the service was excellent. Our waiter was super sweet and friendly. He was kind and helped out a lot as well. He even gave us a flashlight to help see the menu.
Ambiance:
It was not a quiet scene. It was really loud with its own DJ, but gave a fun, festive vibe. The lighting was extremely dim and romantic.
Food:
Both ordered the Chef's Cut Ribeye 33oz. Medium and it was delicious. Mastro's is the best steak I've ever eaten.
Got a side of creamed spinach and garlic mashed potatoes. Potatoes were really good, but the creamed spinach tasted to spinach-y for my taste.
Gave us a complimentary chocolate cake at the end for my boyfriend's birthday.
