A word from The Peekskill Brewery
Peekskill Brewery is a brewpub located on the Riverfront in Peekskill, New York. We’re craft obsessed from the top down…Craft is clever, quality and fresh. These are the elements we use to deliver innovation to your table each and every day. Authentic and without pretense. Our mission is to deliver the comforts of a thoughtfully sourced menu in an inspired brewery atmosphere.

Our original location opened in 2008 on Hudson Avenue in Peekskill, NY. Over the past few years, the demand for more PB beer (and space) was such that we decided to expand. We have now opened our doors to our new facility on South Water Street. We hope you will come visit us soon to check out what’s been “brewing” here on the Riverfront!

  • "Great food! Its definitely a popular spot and so a little more energetic in ambiance. I will certainly return for a good brew and the amazing food."

  • "The brewery's upstairs pub style restaurant serves adults of all ages as well as families with children. It's on the loud side of the noise spectrum,so we did feel like we had to get a bit loud ourselves to capture any one of numerous young men and women to retrieve our orders for us The food that arrived was pretty yummy. I hadn't ordered falafel in years and it was perfectly prepared and presented. The waitstaff helps you select a beer if you're choosing one. They're all pretty good. After having lunch upstairs we moved to the tap room which had the benefit of watching the staff fill growlers of beer and the atmosphere was very pleasant"

  • "My wife and I went to The Peekskill Brewery 3 weeks ago based on a recommendation from a friend ... and have been back twice since then! In addition to a dizzying selection of freshly brewed beers they have excellent wines and awesome food. Instead of going the usual route of appetizer > entree, we'll found that more of a "tapas" approach lets us taste more of the menu. Stand-outs include the cheese platter, cured meats and sausage. Ambiance is wonderful -- dark wood tables lit with candles. There is an opening in the floor of the restaurant (on 2nd floor) that opens to the bar/tasting area downstairs so it can be a little loud. All in all this is a wonderful restaurant that we will go to again and again."

  • "Beer, food, service, and setting we're all terrific. A little pricey for where it was but I didn't begrudge a cent. Will definitely return!"

  • "Food was delicious appetizers to the dinner were perfect my favorite part was desert with the beer pairing chocolate and vaporizer beer best desert pairing I ever had genius. All the brews were great higher standard to shotgun Willie"

  • "The food and service at the relocated Peekskill brewery was top notch. The interior design is perfect - nouveau industrial - and the location is "cool". This is such a great addition to the Peekskill restaurant scene which has seen anything new for a while. Ease of parking is a big plus. Hopefully, that area will continue to develop more retail with this restaurant as an anchor."

  • "We recently enjoyed dinner and drinks at TPB. We had a wonderful evening! Service was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu and bar list....only complaint was the noise factor. It got loud in the dining area upstairs for that obvious reason...UPstairs. We will return again though and look forward to trying the newest beverage on tap!"

  • "My dinner was delicious but it was so dark I couldn't see what I was eating. I ordered the short ribs that were perfectly cooked. It came with sweet potatoes and kale. My husband had the burger, my brother had the pork sandwich and my sister in law had the fish and chips. The wait staff seemed really busy even though there were several empty tables. We had to ask 4 different people to get some tabasco sauce. They did not come around too often so when I wanted a glass of wine with my dinner there was no one to ask. I ended up not having one since I almost finished my meal before they came around again. We had to pull out our phones to turn on light to see the menu. But I would go back, the beers were great, the menu had many great options."

  • "It's so hard to find a good adult spot in the Peekskill/Cortlandt area. Well, I found one. Excellent food, decor, ambiance - even a hopping bar scene. Ate upstairs - place was full but no line yet (it was 6pm). I had made a reservation and was brought straight to my awaiting table. Was instantly brought a small tpaps courtesy of the chef. I didn't catch the name (the noise level is high in there due to the open space and the bar right downstairs). But I just tried it anyway and it was delicious. And very different. All servers were very nice. My friend and I decided to split the mac and cheese and pork sandwich. We did ask for the pork without the kim chi but it came on it anyway. It was super hot. The mac/cheese was awesome!! Go!!"

  • "I have been to this restaurant several times and have always been very please. Unfortunately, my last experience was not the best. I felt that the service was good but the food was disappointing. One of my friend's meal was cold, the fish and chip was greasy and lack luster. My soup was flavorful but temped and salty. Overall the food and cocktail was not as I babe experience in the past. I am not sure if there is a change in the menu or chef. The ambience and overall decor is quite pleasing."

  • "The beer - an IPA - was very good. The rest of the experience was awful. A sandwich bigger than my mouth could ever stretch! A table that wobbled and kept wobbling after it was 'fixed'! Scrappy service. Off the wall responses to requests. They were right, those other reviews! Go for the beer and skip the rest."

  • "Very decent if somewhat unexceptional pub food. It's best to stick with the standards and avoid any attempts at something complicated. A good neighborhood place for a burger or mussels and fries."
    Dined on 10/9/2013
  • "If you keep your expectations simple (burger, fish and chips, pulled pork sandwich, etc) you are going to be happier here than if you go for anything more adventurous on the menu."

  • "Those who enjoy interesting & flavorful beer must visit the Peekskill Brewing taproom. A detour to the restaurant upstairs, while pleasant, is not required. The beers ARE exceptional but our food experience -- while not bad per se -- was not Amazeballs. Go forth and drink!"

  • "Interesting and tasty beer selection, paired with a juicy burger works well here. Skip the rest of the menu. Selections sound tempting but disappoint through overcooking and under seasoning. Service harried. We were never asked if we'd like a drink with our meal! The folks at the bar downstairs seemed to be having a good time."

  • "So we drove back up to Peekskill for lunch. Last time we had brunch and it was very good, this time we thought we would try lunch. Yea it was just as good if not better. I had the burger and it was cooked just the way I like it. The service here is some of the best you will find. We made our way down to the bar and had a few beers after lunch, and then filled up two jugs for home. Looking forward to going back soon."

  • "I was pleasantly surprised by my meal here. I was a fan of the menu at the old location. It took some time, but the menu has evolved and improved since moving to this space. Great beer cocktails with a good array of food choices. I will return!"

  • "Quality was high and craft beer is the main event. Ploughman's Lunch was tasty but is more of an appetizer than a meal--left me quite hungry. I expected a hearty, filling meal. Noise level verges on deafening. It's an attractive setting but all hard surfaces. Way too loud to have a comfortable conversation."

  • "Went for restaurant week but ended up ordering from the regular menu. Wasn't in the mood for a 3 course meal. Had a glass of local brewed beer. It was great. Sandwiches were also good. Great fries."

  • "We stopped on our way back from Croton-on-the Hudson Halloween Blaze pumpkin extravaganza. It was on the way home & we are familiar with the brewery from TAP NY. Being foodies & brewies(?) we were very excited & we were not disappointed. Great brews to choose from and although the menu is a bit limited everything has great attention to detail, preparation & local sourcing. The hand cut fries with cheese curd, gravy & fried egg was great as a starter then I had the Coq Au Vin pie, yummy. Like homemade comfort food, great with beers & wine. My husband had fish & chips which had a variation of lemon Parmesan fries also really good. We finished the nite downstairs at the brew pub. Nice adult casual atmosphere. All in all a very nice time."

  • "Just a fair rating as they were out of a lot of the menu items by the time we arrived at 9pm. They have a great concept going but again, hard to enjoy with the items out. Checked out the bar after dinner and it was a great scene and had the opportunity to try some more beers."

  • "We found the Brewery while watching Toni On NY. What a great find. The staff is one on the best we have ever had. Better than five star restaurants in NYC. The food is very fresh and serviced with style. I had the Bacon Bloody Mary, Bisects with gravy, and the waffle chicken sandwich. When we looked at the menu I was like what am I going to get??? I pick the above and was so happy I did. It was great, and had a great taste and was different, I enjoyed it very much. I finish off my meal with a four beer sampler. I told the staff what kind of beer I like and they were very helpful in picking out 4 beers for me. On the way out I pick up a jug of slow and flow for home. Can’t wait to go back."

  • "We got their early and the staff was very accomadating. Beer is great. The menu was limited but had things that go very well with beer. Staff very nice. Service good. Had the Berger meat was fresh and all the bergers at the table were cooked to order. Would go back."

  • "Nice surroundings, attentive waiter. Several items we asked for were not available including 7 up for a drink. we liked the appetizers, wings were very good. We would have liked to try more items. Everybody has an off night"

  • "We were really there for the beer. Or server was great, very friendly and knowledgeable about the beer selection. We were there on a quiet Monday evening, ordered four apps to share and the food took forever to arrive. It did give us more time to enjoy the beer. We would return for the great beer but would likely eat elsewhere first and then head to the bar at peekskill to enjoy the beer."

  • "While dining over a brewery may sound interesting, this place was simply LOUD. I couldn't even speak with my companion seated next to me Fabulous food would have me forgive the noise, but the food was mediocre at best"

  • "We WANT to like the Peekskill Brewery. We live in Peekskill, so it's nice to have a few local restaurants to visit. After several tries, we've decided that PB won't be one of them. The noise level is too much for us. Mostly though, it's the really inconsistent service. We were there on Saturday evening and there was some problem in the kitchen so it took a long time for our dinners to be served. When our meals finally came, my husband's entree arrived with kale, rather than carrots, per the description of the entree by our waitress. Since our first visit - at the old location - we've often had problems like this. After Saturday night, we are giving up. Admittedly we aren't drinkers - so the beer isn't an attraction for us."

  • "The overall look was very aesthetically pleasing as long as you didn't look too closely. The chairs were falling apart and the tables were tipsy. The food was subpar for the price-had a PB burger and it was very greasy. Due to the hard floors and open layout it is very loud and has a cafeteria feel, but the decor was very modern. The kitchen was open and there were many employees everywhere-no wonder the food is pricey to pay all of the waitstaff and cooks. We had 3 different waiters. The beer was great and I will definitely come back for a growler fill, but no need to eat."

  • "Our dinners arrived not 5 minutes after appetizers were served. Wings were very good. Pulled pork confit sandwich had interesting ingredients and would have been very good but pork itself was very dry. Atmosphere very noisy which normally would not bother us but we could not hear well intentioned waiter describe that nights specials."

  • "The acoustics at the new location are awful. It is difficult to have a conversation with anyone sitting across the table. I have a feeling that this is compounded by the fact that it is open to the first floor so the noise level from the first floor adds to the loudness of the second."

  • "Second time at the relocated Peekskill Brewery. The new restaurant space upstairs is very pretty, but also quite noisy. Beers very fine, burgers good too."

  • "I went here with my partner on a recommendation from his boss (he works in a bar that serves Peekskill's brews). We started with the cheese plate. which was good, although I thought a bit of variety would have been nice. Still tasty, we ate almost all of it. Our dinners were good, I wouldn't say anything too special, but good. The beer was the best part of the meal I believe (obviously it better be, this is a brewery) One of my complaints was the noise level. I don't mind loud bars, but it just seemed to echo throughout the place, it almost made conversation impossible at our dining table. We also couldn't hear what our soft spoken waiter was saying. at all. Overall, I'd say skip dinner and do apps and drinks here, you'll fare much better."

  • "The food here was excellent, which sort of surprised me, since it is a brewery, and I was just expecting the usual sort of bar fare--not at all, the dishes were outstanding. The Beer selection was great, the decor was as well, and, from where we say, we could look out on a window that opened to sunset over the Hudson river. Our service was excellent and the price was VERY reasonable. I highly recommend the Peekskill Brewery."

  • "While the food was tasty and the ambiance of the new location very pleasant, the service was very very SLOW! We waited over an hour for our food, after many awkward glances to our waiter, it was a bit too late. I was ready to leave before the food arrived and not very eager once it did. If you don't mind waiting a really long time to be served, or you are not so hungry, please enjoy the Peekskill Brewery, because my table will be available."
