  • "This restaurant is located on the outskirts of SW Atlanta opposite the MARTA College Park Station. The menu is updated southern faire. I had the crab cakes, which were nicely seasoned, though the crab meat was shredded (I prefer lump crab). The only negative was that our server failed to advise us of the special entrees which we overheard from another server after our order was in."

  • "The food was fantastic. In particular the grits, pecan pie & peach cobler were the best we ever tasted. Make sure you have a lot of time though as it took almost 2 1/2 hours for a simple lunch even though they knew we needed to get back to the office and 35 minutes of that was waiting for desert. Also, the waitress totally forgot biscuits for the table even though she brought out the special butter for it. At the end of the meal when someone pointed out that we didn't get biscuits we were suprised that she didn't offer to bag some up for us. She was very nice but not terribly efficient. Overall we enjoyed the meal and would definately go back as long as we knew we had lots & lots of time."

Just a very pleasant young man. Very professional and he was able to answer all of our questions as this was our first visit. We would absolutely recommend this restaurant."

  • "Had been planning to go to this restaurant for a long time. Finally decided to roll the dice and try it for a 1st date with a new friend. The food and the wine was great. The date went so well we shared a slice of Pecan Pie to end the evening."

  • "Stayed at the airport Marriott. Have seen several reviews which said Pecan was best restaurant on Southside. Don't go there (Southside) often. Wandered in. Ambiance is fine. Friday night and the place was probably 2/3 full so noise was certainly not a problem. Waiter was as nice as he could be, trying very hard. But had the feeling he was on the verge of being out of his comfort zone, but we persevered. Wine list is limited but prices are fair. Enjoyed what we had. We split an antipasto salad which had nothing to do w/antipasto but was actually one of the best salads I have ever had. I had catfish and it was wonderful. My Wife had another fist dish and was not as happy, but said it was ok. Dessert was yummy. Go if in area."

  • "The Pecan is definitely a step up for the southside dining. We just do not have that much fine food places to pick from. I love the ambience in the old refurbish building. Our second time to the restaurant and we still find the seats to be uncomfortable and, this time the food came out cold. They brought out warmer sides, but it was lukewarm as well. I am beginning to wonder if the food is cook on premises or just warmed up?"

  • "We arrived after dark and had difficulty locating the restaurant. No lighted sign. However, this was a very pleasantly surprising place. Some interesting specialties and nice southern influence while also exercising creativity. Delicious. Excellent service. Maybe a little over-priced, but a very nice change of pace."

  • "I will admit, when I initially arrived at Pecan there was a very unfavorable "glitch". BUT.. Pecan has something that EVERY business establishment needs on its team: a Super Star Employee. And whatever the problem might have been, she stepped in, took control, and served us with such great passion that it overshadowed everything else. If she hadn't gotten us seated and refocused, we may have never experienced the amazing meal we had. Pecan is a gem on the metro-Atlanta culinary scene. And as long as they have the winning combination of excellent food AND service, I'll go back again and Again!"

  • "This is a gem in College Park, GA. Fine dining in a nice setting with attentive and friendly staff. The food is delicious, a fusion between Southern and International fine cuisine. The crab cakes are incredible and so are the lamb chops. The décor is cozy and accommodates couples on a romantic outing or groups, small to large. I enjoy and recommend it."

White gloves service and the wait staff plays close attention to your request. Mothers Day brunch was excellent as well."

  • "This place is the best of what the southside has to offer. Think sophisticated comfort food... Conveniently located, easy parking. The ambience and staff are courteous, attentive and on point. Even the house wine is the best of the best. This time I chose the evening special Pom-Pom, a crab and spinach stuffed Cornish hen with asparagus and jasmine rice.... Amazing!!! Perfect for couples and adults seeking a grown and sexy evening out. Please leave the kids at home. This place is not very big and is far too chic to be ruined by snotty noses and high-pitched squeals."

  • "I had come into Atlanta to catch an early flight and debated heading out for food or eating in. I was really glad I decided to dine out. The Restaurant is close to the Airport hotels, a short shuttle or taxi ride. It is on a charming street and beautifully decorated, The food Choices were great, They are a little pricier but worth it, they serve large portions, I regretted not having enough room for dessert :) . The staff was amazing! I really liked the online reservation option. If I get back to Atlanta I will being revisiting The Pecan!"

  • "This restaurant came highly recommended to me but we were very disappointed. The level of service was awful and set the tone for the evening. We were overlooked due to our small party. The server did not acknowledge us with our drink orders until 15 minutes after we were seated. We most definitely did not receive the same level of treatment as did to larger party next to us. It took an hour and 15 minutes to receive our entree. The manager on duty apologized, gave us an excuse of the kitchen not being able to keep with the large parties, and offered to discount our bill. The money was not an issue. We were from out of town searching for a nice restaurant to dine at."

  • "We discovered The Pecan by way of a Travel Zoo voucher. We love using deal certificates to try new places. What a wonderful gem! The martini/special cocktail list is great (you MUST try the signature Pecan cocktail!) and the food was delicious! My hubs had the shrimp & grits which were wonderful, and I had the boneless stuffed game hen special which was fabulous. Our only disappointment was our peach cobbler dessert--apparently the oven was on the fritz so it took FOREVER to come and wasn't very good. I suggest a Pecan martini for dessert instead! :) Overall, a place we would definitely return to again and especially for a special occasion."

The seafood (fish, lobster and crab meat) was THE BEST we had ever had in the world. This restaurant exemplifies "fine dining" while being hidden in downtown College Park, GA. If you must stay near the ATL airport overnight, you MUST try the seafood including the fried lobster!"

  • "We found this restaurant last year and vowed to return. The food is truly extraordinary, upscale southern comfort food. Chef Morrow takes old standards to a refreshing and inspiring new level. It is a niche that I did not know needed filling until the first bite. Nothing disappointed, but some gems include the complimentary pecan corn bread muffins, pecan pie, and curried carrot soup."

  • "I had a great experience at the Pecan. I was traveling, so I was dining by myself. However, this would be a great place for a date or special occasion. The service was attentive, but not too attentive. The server recommended a few items and they were outstanding. I just wish that I had taken his suggestion for dessert. The dessert that I ordered was good, but not exactly what I was expecting. I'm not blaming the restaurant or the server. I just wanted to let everyone to to trust your server's recommendations. They really do know what they are talking about."

  • "I was our first time going to Pecan, took my mom and my best friend out for their birthday day. I told the hostess that it was our first time, and she made sure she checked on us periodically to make sure every thing was going well. Bryheen our server did an outstanding job, he made sure the two birthday girls were having a good time, and was enjoying their food. We all had the crab and lobster, both of which is to die for. I highly recommend this place!"

  • "Great atmosphere, pleasant decor and especially good lighting. They were kind enough to accommodate a last-minute reservation for our (orignally I'd booked for one, but dragged some of my fellow travelers along) on what turned out to be a very busy Monday night. Food was VERY slow to come out and the meal took more than two hours, but the dishes were so terrific and the waiter, so pleasant, that we didn't mind much. Of particular note were the grits, creamy and redolant with pepper jack cheese. I had them with a perfectly fried catfish filet; one of my companions had them with cajun shrimp which were (she said) the best she'd ever had. Minor quibble: the cobblers varied from warm to stone cold and had to be reheated."
