The Pecan is definitely a step up
for the southside dining. We just do not have that much fine food places to pick from. I love the ambience in the old refurbish building. Our second time to the restaurant and we still find the seats to be uncomfortable and, this time the food came out cold. They brought out warmer sides, but it was lukewarm as well. I am beginning to wonder if the food is cook on premises or just warmed up?"

We arrived after dark and had
difficulty locating the restaurant. No lighted sign. However, this was a very pleasantly surprising place. Some interesting specialties and nice southern influence while also exercising creativity. Delicious. Excellent service. Maybe a little over-priced, but a very nice change of pace."

One of my favorites. The menu has
all of the classics like fish and grits, lamb chops and the pecan crusted chicken, then offers great specials. This time I has roasted hen stuffed with spinach and crab meat. So delicious. Will definitely be back."

Loved the food, the service and
the Resturant. A win , win, win."

I will admit, when I initially
arrived at Pecan there was a very unfavorable "glitch". BUT.. Pecan has something that EVERY business establishment needs on its team: a Super Star Employee. And whatever the problem might have been, she stepped in, took control, and served us with such great passion that it overshadowed everything else. If she hadn't gotten us seated and refocused, we may have never experienced the amazing meal we had. Pecan is a gem on the metro-Atlanta culinary scene. And as long as they have the winning combination of excellent food AND service, I'll go back again and Again!"

We enjoyed everything, the food
was excellent and the service as well. Will go again."

Another great place in college
park to entertain close to the airport!"
Dined on 2/25/2014
The food and service was good,
however I was disappointed that they were out of lobster tails & bread. It was the day after Valentines day, so I guess everyone ordered lobster. I get that, but to run out of bread too......"

This is a gem in College Park, GA.
Fine dining in a nice setting with attentive and friendly staff. The food is delicious, a fusion between Southern and International fine cuisine. The crab cakes are incredible and so are the lamb chops. The décor is cozy and accommodates couples on a romantic outing or groups, small to large. I enjoy and recommend it."

I live in CP and love the fact
that this establishment is in my "backyard" The service was good and the food was excellent. The vibe is old school warehouse meets classic 19060's dining. White gloves service and the wait staff plays close attention to your request. Mothers Day brunch was excellent as well."
Dined on 7/1/2013
This place is the best of what the
southside has to offer. Think sophisticated comfort food... Conveniently located, easy parking. The ambience and staff are courteous, attentive and on point. Even the house wine is the best of the best. This time I chose the evening special Pom-Pom, a crab and spinach stuffed Cornish hen with asparagus and jasmine rice.... Amazing!!! Perfect for couples and adults seeking a grown and sexy evening out. Please leave the kids at home. This place is not very big and is far too chic to be ruined by snotty noses and high-pitched squeals."

I had come into Atlanta to catch
an early flight and debated heading out for food or eating in. I was really glad I decided to dine out. The Restaurant is close to the Airport hotels, a short shuttle or taxi ride. It is on a charming street and beautifully decorated, The food Choices were great, They are a little pricier but worth it, they serve large portions, I regretted not having enough room for dessert :) . The staff was amazing! I really liked the online reservation option. If I get back to Atlanta I will being revisiting The Pecan!"

Will not hesitate to go back.
Great fine dining and best service. If you are close, do not miss it. If you are not close, make the effort to go!"

This restaurant came highly
recommended to me but we were very disappointed. The level of service was awful and set the tone for the evening. We were overlooked due to our small party. The server did not acknowledge us with our drink orders until 15 minutes after we were seated. We most definitely did not receive the same level of treatment as did to larger party next to us. It took an hour and 15 minutes to receive our entree. The manager on duty apologized, gave us an excuse of the kitchen not being able to keep with the large parties, and offered to discount our bill. The money was not an issue. We were from out of town searching for a nice restaurant to dine at."

The food is expensive but it is
delicious and the service is good too. This is a great restaurant for a special occasion meal."

We discovered The Pecan by way of
a Travel Zoo voucher. We love using deal certificates to try new places. What a wonderful gem! The martini/special cocktail list is great (you MUST try the signature Pecan cocktail!) and the food was delicious! My hubs had the shrimp & grits which were wonderful, and I had the boneless stuffed game hen special which was fabulous. Our only disappointment was our peach cobbler dessert--apparently the oven was on the fritz so it took FOREVER to come and wasn't very good. I suggest a Pecan martini for dessert instead! :) Overall, a place we would definitely return to again and especially for a special occasion."

I was concerned @ first with
bringing 7 older women to this restaurant only because I thought the food would have been to seasoned /fancy for them. Boy.. was I WRONG. They enjoyed every drop, we were able to persuade a couple of them to order a drink from the bar...:-)!"

My friends and I frequent the
Pecan often and they always deliver great service. The food is very very good."
Dined on 1/10/2014
This is a neighborhood gem. The
food is amazing. I have a nut allergy and the waiter notified me of dishes that I should consider. I had the catfish, grits, and greens. What a phenomenal choice. The food was amazing. I finished the meal with the peach cobbler."

Delicious food. Great service.
Brought a special dessert for birthday celebration. Couldn't have been more attentive."

The food was outstanding and the
service matched! Found this restaurant solely through Open Table during an overnight stay in ATL. The seafood (fish, lobster and crab meat) was THE BEST we had ever had in the world. This restaurant exemplifies "fine dining" while being hidden in downtown College Park, GA. If you must stay near the ATL airport overnight, you MUST try the seafood including the fried lobster!"

We found this restaurant last year
and vowed to return. The food is truly extraordinary, upscale southern comfort food. Chef Morrow takes old standards to a refreshing and inspiring new level. It is a niche that I did not know needed filling until the first bite. Nothing disappointed, but some gems include the complimentary pecan corn bread muffins, pecan pie, and curried carrot soup."

I had a great experience at the
Pecan. I was traveling, so I was dining by myself. However, this would be a great place for a date or special occasion. The service was attentive, but not too attentive. The server recommended a few items and they were outstanding. I just wish that I had taken his suggestion for dessert. The dessert that I ordered was good, but not exactly what I was expecting. I'm not blaming the restaurant or the server. I just wanted to let everyone to to trust your server's recommendations. They really do know what they are talking about."

I love the scenery and atmosphere.
Their crab cakes were to die for, and they had some amazing grits!!! I had to take some of those biscuits/corn muffins home because they were so delicious. I can't wait to go back and dine with them."

Food was good, service was good.
Very good experience!"

I was our first time going to
Pecan, took my mom and my best friend out for their birthday day. I told the hostess that it was our first time, and she made sure she checked on us periodically to make sure every thing was going well. Bryheen our server did an outstanding job, he made sure the two birthday girls were having a good time, and was enjoying their food. We all had the crab and lobster, both of which is to die for. I highly recommend this place!"

Great atmosphere, pleasant decor
and especially good lighting. They were kind enough to accommodate a last-minute reservation for our (orignally I'd booked for one, but dragged some of my fellow travelers along) on what turned out to be a very busy Monday night. Food was VERY slow to come out and the meal took more than two hours, but the dishes were so terrific and the waiter, so pleasant, that we didn't mind much. Of particular note were the grits, creamy and redolant with pepper jack cheese. I had them with a perfectly fried catfish filet; one of my companions had them with cajun shrimp which were (she said) the best she'd ever had. Minor quibble: the cobblers varied from warm to stone cold and had to be reheated."

Went to the Pecan during my
business trip and to meet a new friend. The place was recommended by the local friend as it was close from the airport hotel I stayed. Fabulous selections on the menu. I very much enjoyed the leek soup and the lamb for main. Needed to stay low key on cost, so did not explore wine list much. The Mondavi was not Mondavi but second label. I loved the atmosphere and would like to return when I get a chance to stay in the city again. Recommended."

First time we have ventured into
the College Park dining scene and we were pleasantly surprised. Good menu choices however wine selection a bit limited. Food was tasty and well-presented and we loved the restaurant's architectural details. Definitely will return."

We had to meet friends halfway
between Buckhead and Chattahoochee Hills. Our rendezvous spot ended up being a place we will return to many times. A sophisticated, unusual southern menu every dish was outstanding. this will become a destination restaurant for us"

I simply live this restaurant. It
is indeed a neighborhood gem. I always enjoy the twist to a few of their southern favorites."
Dined on 9/13/2013
The Pecan is an impeccable
restaurant. Artsy plating and delicious flavors are added to Southern staples. I also try the specials. Never disappointed."
Dined on 12/13/2012
I live in the area, and work at a
major employer in the area, so have been a handful of times. Food is good (but overpriced for College Park, they depend on expense accounts of area hotels patrons) but service is always mediocre at best. My last experience here will be my last. Literally got in a shouting match with my server over our bill being $90 OVER what it should have been. Had to yell for a manager, who then came and adjusted the bill to where it should have been."
Dined on 10/17/2013
The food was excellent! Waiter was
not attentive and it was not a busy Night. Had to ask TWICE for the side dish that came with my meal. My fiancé found a pitcher of water and refilled our glasses. Spending $111.00 w/o tip I would have expected better service."
Dined on 11/15/2013
Great food, called ahead asking
NOT to be seated by the window, clearly there was some confusion as they tried to seat us by the window twice. As a result on a slow Friday night, with 5-6 tables in the entire restaurant we were seated in a half booth/table 2-top right by the door, with the blistery rainy weather blowing in everytime sometime entered or exited the restaurant. Our sever seated us... he was pleasant, but paid no attention to details or even some basics to serving, the fantastic food allowed us to over look the weak service and enjoy our evening."
Dined on 11/15/2013
The food was delicious!!! Very
romantic with soft jazz playing in the background. Valentines day-like ambiance. Dessert was good but pricey($10 for the peach cobbler+ $3 extra if you want ice cream on top). Good service."
Dined on 11/8/2013
Our waiter, Sean, was awesome.
Very attentive and knew the menu and specials and was able to offer some great recommendations."
Dined on 11/3/2013
Server makes all the difference in
the world so if you get one that is great you have a great meal. Food is terrific and is seasonal, fresh and tasty. I dined at the Pecan on 10/2/13 with a colleague from out of town. Had a great experience. Decided to bring my wife here as I was working in the neighborhood. We sat one table over from where I did last time which seemed to make all the difference in the world. Our server just had our table for most of the time, but was less than attentive, while I watched the server from last time give great service to the couple behind us! It was adequate service for the most part, just not outstanding service like the last time. Had to ask another server for our bill!! Food was absolutely great!"

I have always enjoyed the Pecan
since having found it 4 years ago. I frequently take my staff after season is over for a celebratory luncheon. The salmon, the steak, the shrimp cocktail, and the Georgia motif is all well worth the visit."
