The PatioWe've had great dinners manyWe've had great dinners many times at The Patio but had never been there for brunch - original, yummy brunch selections!6/9/2013 12:00:00 AMFabulous! We have eaten here several times and it is always outstanding!!! The outdoor seating is wonderful! Food delicious- many unique dishes on the menu. Wine list extensive and unique. The fact that they are dog friendly is great!!!!6/6/2013 12:00:00 AMDog Friendly! The Patio is pooch- friendly, and they'll even give you half off some of the drinks if you bring them. Cool!6/1/2013 12:00:00 AMgoodeatsWe were happy to see the changes from Lamont Street Grill, which we really enjoyed, and were hoping The Patio wold live up to their fine reputation.5/31/2013 12:00:00 AMPlace is ChicCame in for lunch thinking that the brunch menu is available, which we learned is only available on weekends. We like the ambiance though, eapecially the patio - good for groups too. The food was good and affordable, especially the "Lunch for Ladies" $15 for sandwich, salad, and small dessert, that my wife enjoyed. The service was ok - the hostess was friendly and always smiling; our waiter was knowledgeable of their menu, but the busboys were ignoring us as we waved our hands a few times for more water and extra fries (since our waiter was not visible at the moment). Overall, we like the place and would like to go back for their brunch on the weekend and for some drinks at night when they have live music.5/31/2013 12:00:00 AMFinely, a doggone resturant!Finely, a great place with good food, and great vibe and canine friendly!!! I face booked to all my friends what a great experience, and a great way to celebrate my daughters 21at birthday with the entire family, including the dogs. I cant wait to go back and enjoy more of the menu.
Sally5/29/2013 12:00:00 AMFor this place being 4 blocksFor this place being 4 blocks away from my house, it's truly dangerous because it is now my favorite restaurant. Great service, amazing food, beautiful ambiance, etc. I recommend anyone to go check it out if they haven't done so and enjoy!!5/27/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat PatioThe restaurant feels cozy, with fire places and warm lighting. I want my own house patio to look like this. The food is amazing. Two small plates were enough for a full meal. The octopus was just delicious and comfortable. The flat breads were unusually good and enough to share. Our server was very knowledgeable, and recommended great dishes. I will definitely return again.5/26/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat Food!!This small restaurant doesn't have a lot of room so it fills up fast. Make a reservation!! The food was wonderful and we were able to bring our small dog with us since we had a table outside. The waiter brought us water as well as for the dog. Very casual ambience. We had a great time and will definitely go back.5/26/2013 12:00:00 AMPB ChicWe visit the patio at least once a month. They have small, medium, and large size plate servings. Each is entree caliber. The patio is still a trendy spot, and given the tight layout, it can seem crowded at times. It's very nice having nicer food without having to leave the neighborhood, also worth a visit if you're not in the neighborhood.5/24/2013 12:00:00 AMLove The Patio! If you haven't found this little gem, make the effort.....it's totally worth it, in every aspect! Gary makes an awesome Lemon Drop, Manny's service was excellent and the food is wonderful.....GO!5/24/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat experience! The menu is amazing. You have your choice of small, medium, and large dishes. I took advice my waitress, Vikki, gave me and had a couple amazing small plates. She also gave me excellent advice on a wine to go with my dinner. The wine list is vast, but I find rather expensive. The cheapest glass of wine is $9...some are as much as $20 a glass. They do offer half glasses and a good deal on a rack of 3 half glasses. I will return again, soon.5/22/2013 12:00:00 AMBest meal in a while..:The lady and I have been coming here for a few months now and we have always really liked it. This particular meal was a cut above the rest for all the right reasons. Greeted immediately by the extremely friendly "bouncer," (he looks like he could be in a biker gang, but always has a huge smile and is incredibly nice) we were shown to our table right away. Very polished service all the way through the experience, including his careful explanation of what to expect from my cavalier wine selection. Petite filet and jumbo shrimp special was out of this world, and as our server promised, it made the wine transform into an entirely new set of flavors and sensations. All around greatness. Reservations recommended!5/22/2013 12:00:00 AMMy fiance and I had a wonderfulMy fiance and I had a wonderful date night at The Patio. The food and ambience were excellent. It is close to a home and a nice, upscale dining experience in PB.5/21/2013 12:00:00 AMgreat little gemwent there with a group of 8 ladies for happy hour on a monday night. Had a wonderful time, great service, attentive staff, good drink options, and delicious food. It was a perfect spring evening, and the outdoor patio seating caters to that!5/20/2013 12:00:00 AMSaturday BrunchWent for Saturday brunch and the food was excellent. Plus, the outdoor patio area is perfect for enjoying the early morning sunshine while sipping on a mimosa.5/18/2013 12:00:00 AMThe Patio is simpatico! We arrived just in time to take advantage of half-price cocktails for happy hour. The IPA and the Chardonnay went beautifully with the spinach dip appetizer. The menu offers little plates, medium plates and large plates -- to adjust to any appetitie. I had the asian chicken salad that was wonderfully flavored and my husband enjoyed the evning's special ahi tuna on wasabi mashed potatoes. After dinner we sat by the outdoor fireplace and enjoyed another cocktail while viewing the amazing living plant wall studded with lights.5/16/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat experienceWe treated a friend to his B-day dinner at The Patio on Lamont. The cocktail and wine selection was perfect for our needs. The service was very good and accomodating and the food was fun and flavorful. The menu offered plenty of choices for a variety of palettes. The restaurant was full for a Wed however not overcrowded. Definately a hot spot in Pacific Beach that provides a higher end dining experience.5/15/2013 12:00:00 AMsmall platesgreat food...love the small plates...allows you to try more dishes and share with one another5/14/2013 12:00:00 AMLuvPatioMy new favorite place! Fantastic food, the servers know a lot about what they serve which is great, very friendly and helpful, casual new little hot gem!!5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMDon't miss the Patio!I love restaurants that somehow manage some intimacy and the feeling that the crowd there is cool. The Patio pulls it off in spades. But more than the ambience, the quality and presentation of the food will surprise and delight. You'll want to eat everything you see the efficient, interesting staff drop on the tables nearby. Bring your well-behaved pups and get a break on certain menu items! But don't let that fool, you. This is a well-appointed, upscale restaurant, albeit with a pleasantly moderate price tag. Reservations recommended from what I could see on a busy Thursday evening.5/9/2013 12:00:00 AMDisappointed with OpenTable serviceI made this reservation through OpenTable for 9:00 at the Patio on Saturday night because according to the website that was the first available time that evening. Then the restaurant called me at 8:55 and was rudely asking if I still wanted my reservation. They had us down for 8:30 and thought that we were very late. I had the email copy of my reservation to show the hostess 9:00 but we felt scolded and uncomfortable as the second hostess lectured us about reservations. And then the waiter reminded us how busy the restaurant gets on weekends. I don't think I will be using your service in the future. Seems unreliable. I will just call the restaurants directly.5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMHad a wonderful, deliciousHad a wonderful, delicious meal, service was excellent, food items were very well presented and tasty!5/3/2013 12:00:00 AMSelection of food was variedSelection of food was varied and delectable and the serving was plentiful, with a good selection of wines by the glass, as well as half bottles to pair nicely with the meal.5/2/2013 12:00:00 AMDoing a lot right at The PatioFriendly and competent front of the house. An interesting menu. Most dishes very well executed.4/30/2013 12:00:00 AMNice Addition to NeighborhoodHaving enjoyed The Patio on several outings, it continues to be a nice balance of food, service, atmosphere. The service is professional and friendly, the food is consistently good,....it's just a pleasure to dine there.4/30/2013 12:00:00 AMIt just seems that they needIt just seems that they need to get their front of the house in order. The two hostesses that greeted us seemed disorganized and unprofessional. However, our server was great except for not putting dressing on the side for my mother in law's salad.4/28/2013 12:00:00 AMWe love The PatioFood, atmosphere, decor, and service are all outstanding. The beef and bleu flatbread in particular is fabulous but everything we've ordered has been delicious. The service is freindly and attentive, and the restaurant overall just has a great vibe. We love this place!4/27/2013 12:00:00 AMOverall a good experience.Overall a good experience. Food was great, ambiance was great, and our server was amazing BUT when we were making reservations, our hostess told us over the phone we had to be out by a certain time because tables were booked for the entire evening. We felt rushed during dinner, and wanted to hang out for more drinks but could not because of what we were told earlier.4/26/2013 12:00:00 AMInside outside enclosed "patioInside outside enclosed "patio room" and resultant ambiance is magical. Cuisine is very good and doesn't disappoint. Setting is surprisingly residential.. Very original and creative remodel of what appears to be a formrr house smack in the middle of a mixed residential neifhborhood. Makes for a very special evening , one with a local vibe that includes lap dogs at the open air bar and host treats for those passing by on walks.4/26/2013 12:00:00 AMThe Patio is a quality neighborhoodThe Patio is a quality neighborhood restaurant. The servers are just the best, and are a big part of why we return.4/20/2013 12:00:00 AM7 stars out of 5Been in the restaurant biz 16 years, this group has nailed it from start to finish everything was delivered at an incredibly high level. We sampled 5 appetizers for our meal and they are all excellent, lamb sliders, veggie flat bread, grilled cesar, ahi crab stack, and the fava bean and white asparagus. We ended with the Lemon curd for dessert.

Very crowded and tables are close together but I can see why it's so popular. We look forward to coming back!4/18/2013 12:00:00 AMI didn't want a touristy placeI didn't want a touristy place for brunch on our trip to San Diego, so thi fit the bill. Not so great for kids though. But my kids Loved all the dogs there. Good wine list but not much from California. Good but short beer list. Brunch food was solid. Portions were a little small on the corned beef hash. Excellent biscuits! Definitely worth the effort to find for the adventurous tourist.4/14/2013 12:00:00 AMit just keeps getting better.it just keeps getting better. a tough act to follow.4/14/2013 12:00:00 AMOur first time at The PatioOur first time at The Patio since it was under new management, we were very pleased. They gave us a quiet cozy corner and we were wowed by the whole experience. Food was great, service was great, wine list was impressive. They even surprised us with a candle and really delicious truffle. Came back a few days later with friends, sat on the patio and the happy hour menu was amazing! The bar staff are knowledgeable and the drinks are very creative!4/4/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat lunch!Enjoyed a fun lunch, celebrating a friend's birthday. The $15 lunch special was great with salad, sandwich and dessert. The birthday person also received a birthday truffle and candle adding to the festivities. Food was excellent, service friendly and efficient, and the ambiance pleasant and relaxing.3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMfun menu that had some creativityfun menu that had some creativity to put it together!! good music level3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMWe came earlier than our reservatioWe came earlier than our reservation which was for 8:30 (only 5:15--earlier than we wanted and 8:30--later than we wanted were still avail.) We wanted to be there before end of the happy hour prices. They graciously found us a table for dinner (the bar and patio were packed), and we made our first drink orders during HH. Love their small plates, medium plates, and larger plates listings. We were able to make up our own combinations and enjoyed every bite. Their "cool" drinks items are--interesting?! Cocktails, a new version of '30s-'50s type cocktails, didn't hit it for us. Only one martini listed with only 3 vodka selections. But, the one martini was good. Our suggestion to them would be add vodkas w/grape base to go w/their wine emphasis.3/29/2013 12:00:00 AMThis place impresses any foodie!Outstanding restaurant! This is easily one of the best restaurants in San Diego. You can tell whoever created this restaurant paid attention to the details with their menu, service, ambiance and decor. Looking forward to the next creation from these owners!!!3/27/2013 12:00:00 AMThis was a nice place forThis was a nice place for lunch.
