  • "Wonderful addition to the #yeg dinning scene. Will be coming back."

  • "As our business is located close by, we were excited to go for a quiet lunch on a nice patio. There were 6 of us and we were told we could not order the lunch special because we were a large group. I have never been to a restaurant where 6 is considered a large group. And have never been to a restaurant where large groups cannot order a lunch special. The automatic gratuity makes sense for groups of 8+ but this was ridiculous. Our server said the special was only available to tables of '4-ish or less' which is ridiculous. Food quality was poor, service was extremely slow and overall this was a very disappointing experience. Will not be referring people to the restaurant."

  • "So we came to Italian Parlour on a busy Saturday night. We made reservations through open table- which was a perfect idea. Well, We loved the food, the service was amazing. The place was clean and i would dare say this might be our new favourite restaurant. PUr waitress Rebecca was awesome, she made sure our glasses were full and came by often checking up on us. We would highly recommend Italian Parlour."

  • "My friends and I enjoyed our night out. The food was wonderful. The service was great. They were very considerate in checking out the ingredients to make sure I wasn't going to have an allergy attack during our meal. Will be going again...soon!"

  • "I was meeting up with friends I hadn't seen for awhile. We had a great night but we focused most on our conversation. It was a wonderful place to be able to hold a conversation ! I'll be back with my husband!"

  • "Nice, big patio - surprisingly quiet for its location. Inside looks nice too."

  • "The Parlour had great atmosphere, fantastic food and and outstanding service! Our server recomended a couple of dishes, and both were delicious. The appitizer colliflower and 20 layer lasgunga a definite must, and the 2 pizza's that were ordered at our table were both very good too. Looking forward to going back to try some other dishes that sounded great on the menu!"

  • "Even though the restaurant wasn't very busy our food was terribly slow. We were a party of 5 (4 adults and one child) and it took 2.5 hours for our meal. The staff came up and apologized for the delay...but didn't speed anything up. They then offered a complimentary dessert but even that took WAY longer than it should have."

  • "I had gnocchi - it was so tender it melted in my mouth -- also enjoyed the roasted olives -- my husband had the raviolli and raved about it as well. there will definitley be an encore."

  • "The restaurant its self is amazing, great concept and fixtures as well as location. Service was great and friendly. I myself had the Short Rib Ravioli and it was delicious. The dessert my table shared was wonderful, the appetizer was ok, but the downside of the night was that the cocktails were not great. I had 3 different cocktails and only 1 was good. Other than that though it was a great dinner out and I recommend trying this place out."

  • "Food is basic, bland, and boring. Very UN Italian flavor, and UN tasty pizza. Bar/dining room is urban loft cool, crowd is mixed, and service staff try hard to please, but its just not enough to make the bland food taste any better. You can get better pizza and a more groovy crowd at any Earls, Cactus, etc. Best Italian in Edmonton is still Cibo."

  • "Found the food very bland and not a great presentation, table across was very loud it was very annoying."

  • "Great ambience and super location, another fine job by mr. Lachance! I look forward to coming back again this time in the evening - and enjoying the patio and checking out the nightlife in the lounge..."

  • "First time visit recommended as a good lunch spot. We had dinner, and were a bit disappointed. My Sea Bass was 2 small thin filets of what appeared to be more of a small Herring than a sea bass. I did not like it. My roasted Yukon Golds were mushy. My appetiser ( baked black olives) were really good, but some added green olives would have improved a good thing. My wife had the Roast Chicken with risotto, which was mushy as well. Her carpaccio was great. Our waitress was very pleasant, but had too many customers to handle by herself. We will be back for lunch.....its well worth a second look."

  • "Considering the pizza's are promoted there, I would say they need a rework. The pizza's at say Earl's or Joey's are a step above these. Great room though and I will be back... I will avoid the pizza though. Oh, and a great patio with the wood burning fireplace."

  • "I have to say that I love the look and ambiance of this place. It is a gorgeous old building and the decor is gorgeous. I'm looking forward to drinks on the beautiful patio. However, I've been here three times now and have been very disappointed in the food every time. The calamari is okay. I've had a salad that was okay also however the pizza was very underwhelming with next to no toppings. The cauliflower appetizer could be good but it wasn't cooked through and the sauce isn't complimentary to it. The mussels were boring (try blue cheese or something more flavorful). "

  • "We had the arancini, spaghetti with meatballs anf the Truffle pizza. All were very delicious. We sat on the patio which has a wood burning fireplace that makes it feel rustic and romantic although a bit smoky. The $20 for spaghetti and $25 for pizza is a little outrageous. We will be back but only on special occasions as we don't have a lot of cash to burn. "

  • "Been here twice now and the food is subpar. I tried my friends lobster ravioli the first time and it was not flavourful and I had steak the 2nd time, flat and well done when I ordered medium. Received a new med rare one and it was still pretty well done. If they improved their quality of food, due to location and ambience, it could be a hot spot."

  • "The pizza at the Parlour is amazing. Very traditional (made in a wood fire, pizza oven), thin crust, with many varieties to choose from. The best part is that happy hour (thinks its 3pm to 6pm) has a deal for 10$ pizzas. Considering the quality and diversity of choice, one would be hard pressed to find someone who isn't happy with the menu. The quality of pizza could be compared to Famosso, Rosso or Leva (if not better)."

  • "Consistently great food and service. Cozy. Sophisticated enough for business lunches, but relaxed. Decent wine list."
    Dined on 5/2/2014
  • "Italian dishes way under the mark for an "Italian" specialty restaurant. Barely average pizza, and really, REALLY poor lasagna. Service is hit and miss - get you in and get you out kinda scene. More miss than a hit, and not much fun to boot. The Parlour gets a fail from these regular diners."

  • "Trendy Italianish. Decor was cool, exposed brick and pipe, modern decor elements, upstairs dining area and downstairs bar with tall tabletops and TV. Staff were young and cool, friendly to talk to. Our server was loanna who was awesome. I had the steak and my buddy had the seafood capellini, good portions and flavours. We went on Wednesday and they do half price wine from a select list, we ended up with an Argentinian Malbec which was decent. We moved to the bar and met bartender spencer, friendly guy, who kept us company the rest of the night. Would definitely go back. We were staying downtown, the resto is walking distance from any of the major hotels, or probably less than a 5 min cab ride. "

  • "I arrived early for my reservation, but they seated me right away. Friendly staff. Nice space. I can't wait until the patio is open. It's a little bit pricey for me, but I would still come here if I was meeting a special friend. They will make a custom cocktail for you. Nice touch."

  • "Service was good, but overly loud and attentive. We wanted a quite dinner as a couple, and the server was a little too intrusive. Nice guy, but come on, don't try to get in on our conversation. Food was poorly seasoned, and only passable in flavour. Bang for the buck? not there. Felt a little overpriced for the quality."

  • "The interior was well designed. I loved the second floor sitting overlooking the lounge. Service was not great - I was not offered pepper on my salad and 3 attempts to get a server's attention went unnoticed. I waited for 10 minutes before I got the pepper (which the salad desperately needed). In addition my wine glass sat empty for about 15 minutes, even though the serving staff passed our table numerous times. We were not told about the specials, I had to ask if there were any. Beet salad had way too much oil, the beets were cut into tiny dice that disintegrated in the excess oil. Very bland. The lasagne could have been a very tasty dish if it had of been consistently heated - hot outside, barely warm in the centre."

  • "A little pricey but the food and presentation was excellent. The four of us each ordered a different meal. No complaints from any of us. We each thoroughly enjoyed our meals. Why we went: a recent good review in a magazine, someplace new and first and foremost, they had a wide variety of gluten-free options which was important to the Celiac in our group. We'll be back. "

  • "I had dinner with friends at The Parlour. The restaurant is beautiful and the modern rustic feel works well in the space. All of us were kind of underwhelmed with our meals. The twenty layer lasagne was underseasoned and quite a disappointment based on the menu description. The lemon tart had a crust that was so hard, I could barely cut it. I wouldn't say the food was terrible, it just didn't live up to the great descriptions on the menu. I feel like the owners spent more on the design of the space vs. the menu design and hiring of cooks. I'd go back for drinks but give it a pass for dinner."

  • "I love Century Grill and the other members of this chain, but was disappointed in this restaurant. Very friendly servers, but it was slow service and the food was just OK and not worth the price. The ambience was great, but overall was disappointed."
    Dined on 4/16/2014
  • "The food was terrible. Calamari was so soggy that the batter fell off not to mention, incredibly bland. The food doesn't taste fresh and most had no flavor. Wait for the food was long and the restaurant wasn't busy. Shane was an excellent server though, attentive and personable. That was the only positive point of our experience. Full of front door staff but not a thank you or goodbye on the way out."

  • "I had heard mixed reviews about this restaurant but wanted to make up my out mind. Sorry to say but I was disappointed on most aspects of this restaurant. Our server was obviously inexperienced as although she know my partner and I were sharing a salad and a pizza she did not bring us plates serve ourselves. There were not napkins on our table. ou antipasta plate came without olives and when we aked our waitress about this she at first said she did not think that olives were included despite that they were on the discription on the menu. We had to ask her twice to bring us some olives. When she did they were unedible. The pizza was soggy in the middle. We didn't finish it. The salad was ok but too much dressing. The tiramisu was a miss."
