Diner Reviews
  • "Loved the food, and the service was amazing. Really felt like they appreciated our business. The patio is nice, it feels like you could actually be on a street in Italy. We will be back soon, probably share the experience with some friends."

  • "This was my first time at the Parlour and I was very impressed! The Raspberry Lemonade was awesome, the patio very welcoming and the Truffle pizza was out of this world!"

  • "We recently had a very casual but enjoyable anniversary celebration at The Parlour. We were fortunate to dine on their patio on a beautiful warm summer evening. The staff were very gracious in expressing best wishes to us and spoiled us with a beautiful chocolate dessert. It, indeed was a lovely night."

  • "After reading all the reviews on here, we were looking forward to an extremely tasty meal. Unfortunately, it was possibly the blandest meal my husband and I have ever had! We both had flatbread that had zero flavour. Mine was supposed to be very garlicky, and I couldn't even taste any! We had to order a dip on the side just to get some flavour. I was very disappointed and we will not be going back."

  • "The food was delicious and everyone enjoyed their meals. The server and kitchen went to extra lengths to accommodate my food allergies and provide me with options. The wait for our food was very lengthy, and until we asked, we were not given any indication of delays or told how long of a wait to expect. I would not have minded the wait very much if our server had told us there were some very large parties upstairs causing the kitchen delays."

  • "We were there in holiday Monday for dinner.. It was fairly quiet.. Waited 20 mins. In the bar for someone to ask us for a drink.. Went upstairs for dinner and waited over an hour and 15 mins to get our pizza.. Very poor service"

  • "The ambience and the service was really good. The manager came and talked to our group directly and he was awesome and very welcoming. The food was good but not fantastic, especially for the prices. But the pizza was pretty good and reasonably priced. The place itself is super nice and the patio is pretty. They have parking which is really good for downtown. Overall a good pick, I'd go back but just for the pizza."

  • "I had the pleasure of taking a few guests with me to The Parlour ,several times over a weekend, and each time the service and the food was top notch. Great place to have a nice lunch with the girlfriends or to take someone for a date. Will be back again to enjoy more of the fantastic fire roasted pizza and excellent wine."

  • "Lunch with work colleagues was very good. I had the Wise Guy pizza. The pizza dough was obviously home-made and delicious. After our meals were finished, the server continued the Italian theme by offering cafe americano or latte, rather than a boring regular coffee."

  • "On both our visits we have tried the set menu (different on each occasion) and have been very impressed by the creativity of the offerings, the subtle combinations of flavours, textures and colours, and the attentive non pretentious service. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting. The patio is a lovely place that reminds us of summers spent in the Adriatic sea in Croatia and Italy. A true gem for people working and living in downtown Edmonton."

  • "This was our first trip to The Parlour and we came away very happy and will be sure to return. The service was fantastic, the pizza was delicious (some of the best crust we have ever eaten), and we both enjoyed the setting and ambience."

  • "The best pasta and appetizers I've had. Staff was friendly, service was great! Can't wait to go back!"
    Dined on 7/13/2014
  • "Really enjoyed the arancini and cauliflower appetizers. Pasta and pizza were good but we were not blown away. Drinks were very slow to arrive. Server was trying but was average at best. Location is great and patio is lovely. Would come back to sit outside for wine and appys for sure."

  • "We specifically chose The Parlour for a birthday gathering as we knew it was going to be a hot evening and they have a wonderful patio with great ambiance. We also enjoy their wine list and food. Service is great, attentive and timely. One of our new favorites."

  • "Ricardo and his team will serve you to no end. Your dedicated server will come check on things and the other servers will even come to take away your plays when your done. A great restaurant!"

  • "Wonderful addition to the #yeg dinning scene. Will be coming back."

  • "As our business is located close by, we were excited to go for a quiet lunch on a nice patio. There were 6 of us and we were told we could not order the lunch special because we were a large group. I have never been to a restaurant where 6 is considered a large group. And have never been to a restaurant where large groups cannot order a lunch special. The automatic gratuity makes sense for groups of 8+ but this was ridiculous. Our server said the special was only available to tables of '4-ish or less' which is ridiculous. Food quality was poor, service was extremely slow and overall this was a very disappointing experience. Will not be referring people to the restaurant."

  • "So we came to Italian Parlour on a busy Saturday night. We made reservations through open table- which was a perfect idea. Well, We loved the food, the service was amazing. The place was clean and i would dare say this might be our new favourite restaurant. PUr waitress Rebecca was awesome, she made sure our glasses were full and came by often checking up on us. We would highly recommend Italian Parlour."

  • "My friends and I enjoyed our night out. The food was wonderful. The service was great. They were very considerate in checking out the ingredients to make sure I wasn't going to have an allergy attack during our meal. Will be going again...soon!"

  • "I was meeting up with friends I hadn't seen for awhile. We had a great night but we focused most on our conversation. It was a wonderful place to be able to hold a conversation ! I'll be back with my husband!"

  • "Nice, big patio - surprisingly quiet for its location. Inside looks nice too."

  • "The Parlour had great atmosphere, fantastic food and and outstanding service! Our server recomended a couple of dishes, and both were delicious. The appitizer colliflower and 20 layer lasgunga a definite must, and the 2 pizza's that were ordered at our table were both very good too. Looking forward to going back to try some other dishes that sounded great on the menu!"

  • "Even though the restaurant wasn't very busy our food was terribly slow. We were a party of 5 (4 adults and one child) and it took 2.5 hours for our meal. The staff came up and apologized for the delay...but didn't speed anything up. They then offered a complimentary dessert but even that took WAY longer than it should have."

  • "The restaurant its self is amazing, great concept and fixtures as well as location. Service was great and friendly. I myself had the Short Rib Ravioli and it was delicious. The dessert my table shared was wonderful, the appetizer was ok, but the downside of the night was that the cocktails were not great. I had 3 different cocktails and only 1 was good. Other than that though it was a great dinner out and I recommend trying this place out."

  • "I had gnocchi - it was so tender it melted in my mouth -- also enjoyed the roasted olives -- my husband had the raviolli and raved about it as well. there will definitley be an encore."

  • "Food is basic, bland, and boring. Very UN Italian flavor, and UN tasty pizza. Bar/dining room is urban loft cool, crowd is mixed, and service staff try hard to please, but its just not enough to make the bland food taste any better. You can get better pizza and a more groovy crowd at any Earls, Cactus, etc. Best Italian in Edmonton is still Cibo."

  • "Great ambience and super location, another fine job by mr. Lachance! I look forward to coming back again this time in the evening - and enjoying the patio and checking out the nightlife in the lounge..."

  • "First time visit recommended as a good lunch spot. We had dinner, and were a bit disappointed. My Sea Bass was 2 small thin filets of what appeared to be more of a small Herring than a sea bass. I did not like it. My roasted Yukon Golds were mushy. My appetiser ( baked black olives) were really good, but some added green olives would have improved a good thing. My wife had the Roast Chicken with risotto, which was mushy as well. Her carpaccio was great. Our waitress was very pleasant, but had too many customers to handle by herself. We will be back for lunch.....its well worth a second look."

  • "Considering the pizza's are promoted there, I would say they need a rework. The pizza's at say Earl's or Joey's are a step above these. Great room though and I will be back... I will avoid the pizza though. Oh, and a great patio with the wood burning fireplace."
    Dined on 5/17/2014
  • "We had the arancini, spaghetti with meatballs anf the Truffle pizza. All were very delicious. We sat on the patio which has a wood burning fireplace that makes it feel rustic and romantic although a bit smoky. The $20 for spaghetti and $25 for pizza is a little outrageous. We will be back but only on special occasions as we don't have a lot of cash to burn. "

  • "Been here twice now and the food is subpar. I tried my friends lobster ravioli the first time and it was not flavourful and I had steak the 2nd time, flat and well done when I ordered medium. Received a new med rare one and it was still pretty well done. If they improved their quality of food, due to location and ambience, it could be a hot spot."

  • "Friendly service, very good food. We will be back. "

  • "I have to say that I love the look and ambiance of this place. It is a gorgeous old building and the decor is gorgeous. I'm looking forward to drinks on the beautiful patio. However, I've been here three times now and have been very disappointed in the food every time. The calamari is okay. I've had a salad that was okay also however the pizza was very underwhelming with next to no toppings. The cauliflower appetizer could be good but it wasn't cooked through and the sauce isn't complimentary to it. The mussels were boring (try blue cheese or something more flavorful). "

  • "We enjoyed a lovely lunch (2 ladies) during the week. We both had salads which we enjoyed. The service was attentive and friendly."
    Dined on 5/16/2014
  • "The pizza at the Parlour is amazing. Very traditional (made in a wood fire, pizza oven), thin crust, with many varieties to choose from. The best part is that happy hour (thinks its 3pm to 6pm) has a deal for 10$ pizzas. Considering the quality and diversity of choice, one would be hard pressed to find someone who isn't happy with the menu. The quality of pizza could be compared to Famosso, Rosso or Leva (if not better)."
