The Park RestaurantOutstanding Food, Reasonably PricedMy co-workers and I have throughly enjoyed the food at The Park. The selection of food and reasonable prices keep us coming back for more. The only negative is that street parking is limited on some days. LOVE this place!!!6/12/2013 12:00:00 AMRarely disappointsDespite the terrible parking, this is such a great neighborhood spot. Speakeasy Tuesday is a terrific prie fixe value at $15 - special menu including soup or appetizer; entree; dessert. At $25 Friday Supper Club prie fixe menu (includes 3 course selection from the regular menu). This latest experience was no exception and our server, who recognized me from prior visits, was very welcoming. I love the bistro fare and it's also one of my favorite spots for Sunday brunch.6/11/2013 12:00:00 AMsurprise, surprisehave going here since its inception and it seldom disappoints. the price is more than fair and the quality in the kitchen is quite good. A pleasant neighborhood restaurant, not easily found in LA. Wednesday night hamburger night is an added bonus, but get there early, as parking can be a problem. Probably the only weak point is dessert we thought and the new wine list is quite worth considering.6/7/2013 12:00:00 AMTuesday is the night! They do a 3 course $15 prix fixe. Always something seasonal and delicious. Love the chef and love this place.6/4/2013 12:00:00 AMTuesdayI went to the park on a Tuesday and had a fantastic experience. They have their $15 supper club. Great price, great food, great place!5/28/2013 12:00:00 AMWhat a surprise...Unless your going to Dodger Stadium you might never know of this restaurant. Found it on Open Table, checked out the menu and made a reservation for 9. What a surprise. Interior is plain Jane but the food, service and hospitality is an A++. Menu is imaginative and translates into something special on your plate. Waitress/service was great (remember there were 9 of us), very attentive and she even gave us seperate checks. I would go back in a heart beat.5/21/2013 12:00:00 AMPleasant surpriseThe Park delivered on all fronts-service, food and drinks. We sat in the front patio area which is a great place to soak in a beautiful day. That stretch of Sunset is not too busy so traffic wasn't a concern. I took a peak at the inside dining area; it looked quaint but it wasn't loud which is good.
We had coffee and the coffee was delicious. It was strong and flavorful. I ordered the Park Scramble with soyrizo. The scramble and the potatoes on the side were delicious.5/19/2013 12:00:00 AMLove the Park!!The food was delicious, the service extraordinary and we had a great time!5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat Food, Nice AtmosphereA great neighborhood find. Very casual and unassuming decor, with some of the most creative and delicious sandwich creations around. Nice and helpful staff. A real treat.5/6/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat Anniversary DinnerMy wife and I chose The Park for our anniversary dinner this year--she'd been wanting to go for awhile, and I was unfamiliar with it. The space is odd, the music's loud, but it's got great lowkey lighting and eye-catching artwork. We got a nice out of the way table in the corner, with an unflattering view of Sunset, but the windows are covered with cool fabric to obscure it. Really, it's all about the food. I had the hanger steak cooked to medium rare perfection, and really everything on the plate was fantastic. My wife had the sea bass which was delicious, but even better was the little mussel tortellini that came with it. And the butterscotch pudding and chocolate oatmeal tart were the bomb. First rate cuisine no doubt.5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMI really like The Park. EveryI really like The Park. Every time I go there I wonder why I don't eat there more often. I always feel like I leave satisified with a very good meal for a very reasonable amount of money. Sometimes the front of house seems a bit overwhelmed with what seems to be a moderate sized crowd but they are always nice and try hard to please.4/21/2013 12:00:00 AMThe food is great. I wasThe food is great. I was disapointed that they did not have the duck confit on the lunch menu. The lunch menu is mainly salads and sandwiches. They are incredible. They do have a great soup of the day and a lunch special.4/10/2013 12:00:00 AMHad a great evening, friendlyHad a great evening, friendly staff and great food!4/6/2013 12:00:00 AMAs always, we love this place,As always, we love this place, and it is an amazing value on Friday night, when you can have "dinner club", 3 courses (anything on menu) for $25. It is even a better deal since they now don't require that the whole group at a table get the dinner club. We shared our favorite starter, the Szechwan calamari. They had just changed to the current menu and service was a little slower than usual, but we were not in any hurry so this was not a problem. If you are really in a rush and want to be in and out in 45 minutes, don't go at peak times.4/5/2013 12:00:00 AMAmazingly goodThis is my 4th visit, two dinners, one tasting menu, and now brunch. All consistently good. Service great. The food is just enough differently prepared to make it interesting, unique and tasty. Definely a must go!3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMThe Park is a charming, smallThe Park is a charming, small and friendly place with excellent food. Our waiter was very helpful, as was the entire staff. The owner/chef has wisely kept the prices low without sacrificing quality. Foodie Alert: Keep a watchful eye on Josh, who is a talented, self taught chef. He's on his way up. And his large, faithful fan base will be along for the ride.3/26/2013 12:00:00 AMDelicious and reasonably pricedDelicious and reasonably priced seasonal food. A great find!3/21/2013 12:00:00 AMOn Tuesdays The Park offersOn Tuesdays The Park offers a prix fixe menu, last Tuesday featured Shrimp & Grits. Josh makes a terrific Shrimp & Grits! Great flavor, good amount of heat, generous portions of shrimp and andouille sausage and creamy grits, oh yeah and a side of delish collards - yum, yum! We make it a point to go whenever Shrimp & Grits are on the menu. I have said before that I don't usually care for desserts at The Park, not the case this time. The cheesecake with strawberry sauce was luscious, creamy and light, with a wonderful tang of cream cheese, topped by just the right amount of a lovely strawberry sauce. Service was great, friendly, and helpful, thanks Rob!3/19/2013 12:00:00 AMIt's rare to find a restaurantIt's rare to find a restaurant where everything you order taste AMAZING! Well that's what happened here. Definitely going back. And soon.3/17/2013 12:00:00 AMA small quaint little placeA small quaint little place with a 5 star menu. The food is delicious and the ingredient very fresh. The Chef is amazing with his diverse creations. The Calamari is unrivaled combining sweet and spicy flavors and the Fried Chicken is the tastiest ever without being drenched in grease and oil! If the portions weren't so filling, dessert would be an absolute necessity! Bravo Master Chef Josh!!!11/29/2012 12:00:00 AMExcellent restaurant whereExcellent restaurant where the food is second to none. Very original plates with some very fresh and delicious ingredients.
