Open 7 days for lunch, dinner and weekend brunch - closed in the afternoons between services.   • "Funky Echo Park restaurant. Szechuan fried calamari was different and yummy. Hangar steak was typical--teriyaki sauce was good; tempura broccoli was tasty--and I'm not a fan of tempura. Other family members were happy with their lobster pasta appetizer, pork chop entree and fried polenta entree. IMO, the Bourbon Butterscotch pudding was kind of tasteless; I tasted neither bourbon nor butterscotch. Apple tarte was chock full of almonds and super sweet."

  • "I went to the Park a couple days before valentines day and had the best meal I've had in a long time! I actually said the words "it's like a party in my mouth!".everything from appetizer to dessert was amazing. Each item was put together in a way I've never had before. I look at their chef as a scientist with food. We had such a good meal that we cancelled our original Valentine's Day plans to come here. Go try it and get anything on the menu to see what I'm talking about."

  • "Naturally, in the dead middle of winter it is perfectly appropriate to eat outside in the wonderful warmth of SoCal weather. Came in for lunch with an old friend since he had never been to The Park. Got the Lamb Gyro sandwich, and was very pleased with the decision. I was expecting strips of lamb, but it was more like ground lamb made into strips. Absolutely delicious. I was expecting some more tzatziki in the wrap, so I just asked some more on the side. I highly recommend asking for some tzatziki on the side, because it complimented the sandwich quite well. Again, The Park does not disappoint. Looking forward to my next visit!"

  • "I noticed there wasn't a lot of reviews for the Monday Night Sushi...so here one is! Here is the rundown. 5 different rolls, offered for $5 each, with another 3-4 vegetarian rolls offered for $4 each. I've never told a waiter/waitress I want to "order the whole menu" and mean it, but that is exactly what my fiance and I did! We said we'll take one of everything, and ended up getting 8 different rolls of sushi. Here's the breakdown: Each roll is 8 pieces, with the exception of the spider roll, which is 4, but is much larger in comparison. The rolls include typical rolls you find at 'typical' sushi joints, except for an amazing bargain. The chef formally worked at Sushi-Roku. Flavor was good, price is amazing, definitely worth a try."

  • "Came in on a random Saturday evening to give their Winter menu and weekend special items a shot. We enjoyed the Oxtail stew, the 'Seafood Linguine' weekend special with Manila clams, mussels, etc., and the 'Beef Salad' weekend special appetizer. Food, as always, amazing. The attention to detail for the balance of flavors going on in the "beef salad" was incredible. It took on a Thai influence, with a wonderful mix of vegetables and beef (shoulder < I asked waitress), and levels of spicy heat, sourness, and sweet. The Oxtail Stew was incredible, but not mind-blowing incredible. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a heart-warming dish to satisfy on a cold day. The Linguine special was executed perfectly. Seafood was spot on."

  • "Tuesday evenings The Park offers a starter, entree and dessert for $15; this week it was meatloaf and mashed potatoes with carrots, a delicious lentil soup to start and bread pudding with cinnemon semifredo for dessert. I was in a hurry and the $15 tab was appealing, so I ordered the special even though it wouldn't be my first choice. As usual at The Park, I scarfed down every morsel. I've never had a bad meal at this place. Service is excellent. Even the coffee (extra $$) was good. I would rather they didn't wait to open on Tuesdays until 6PM, but other than that I love this place."

  • "Did not even know this restaurant was there until I saw it listed on OpenTable and after reading the many positive reviews noted here, I tried it with a friend and am able to concur this is one great neighborhood restaurant! My friend and I shared an empanada-like turnover as an appetizer which was good, and I had the lamb shoulder for my main - which was very good and that alone is worth repeat trips. Presentation is also very good. Tables for two a bit small in my opinion...but not enough to miss out on this chef's tastes. I recommend and I look forward to my next visit."

  • "Came in to enjoy the $15 Tuesday Night Prix Fixe meal with my fiance. Food = Fantastic. Always a choice of two starters, two entrees, and one dessert. Always a Carnivore, and Vegetarian option (except dessert). My fiance and I got one of each, and shared the plates. Everything was superb. Ambiance = There is a lot of 'positive energy' here. You walk in and instantly it feels comfortable and like home. The center of the tiny dining space often has a large party, and this visit was no exception. Someone was celebrating a birthday, and it overall brought a wonderful cheery and lively vibe to the restaurant. Service = Attentive when you want them to be, friendly, but at times can be a bit slow. Overall the staff was excellent this time."

  • "I have a fond relationship with The Park Restaurant. After I proposed to my fiance, me, her, and our closest friends came to The Park to celebrate. After a graduation ceremony, everyone agreed The Park is where we should go eat. And occasionally, at random, I love to visit The Park and take in its charm, awesome food, and good times. Just outside of downtown LA, It is one of the few places that I can take anyone from my various walks of life, and they will find something they will be satisfied with. They have dishes for folks like my family, who don't like to be too 'fancy', to dishes mostly for those who like to be adventurous, such as myself. Carnivores, Herbivores, Vegetarians alike, The Park rarely disappoints. A true neighborhood gem."

  • "It's not a glitzy, trendy place which I generally find too loud and the food so expensive that a light dinner can easily run a $100 for my husband and I. This is the kind of place I would go back to again and again. The food was delicious and the ambience comfortable and interesting. The art on the walls was created by local artists and the music was hip without being intrusive and loud. It was easy to have a conversation and really relax to enjoy the food and friends. We tried the three course meal they have on Friday night's for $25 and everyone in our party had nothing but ooos and ohhs to say as we sampled each others choices. I'd recommend it to all my foodie friends."

Chef Josh really strives to be perfect and his various special nights are understandably popular ($15 prix fixe Tuesdays, 8$ burger Wednesdays, $25 prix fixe wider menu Fridays). The service is usually great and friendly and it's a terrific bargain for the quality of food. It's getting crowded as people make the trip from other parts of town, so make a reservation and don't be disappointed."

  • "I love The Park so much. I have only ever been there for dinner, but they have consistently great-tasting, creative food at appropriate prices. Awesome specials everyday (Speakeasy Tuesday: 3-course meal for $15, $5 burgers on Wednesdays, and half price wine bottles on Thursdays). Chef Josh has a blog on the website - very refreshing, conscious, and open. Cozy inside seating, quaint outside seating. VERY VERY VERY excellent and attentive service. Favorite restaurant in Echo Park, by a very wide margin."

  • "Intimate restaurant with great food! On our most recent visit we had the lobster, scallop mousse slider starter. It's served on an eclair bun with a scattering of pink grapefruit bits on the plate. Light and flavorful. Had an earlier version that came on mini cream puff buns, made in-house. Both versions were excellent. The hangar steak was cooked nicely with tasty twice-baked potato. The grilled salmon was served in a lovely sauce with kale and mustard green dumplings. The dumplings resembled potstickers with thick skin v. a fritter type of dumpling. Great to have a local restaurant that served such interesting and delicious food at a very reasonable price. On the weekend, there are often lines out the door. It's worth the wait."

This week included Osso Buco which was amazingly tender and flavorful. Even better was the Apple Cake which melts in your mouth but last in your taste buds!   • "The Park is a small, unassuming restaurant in the heart of LA that makes some of the best tasting food! Everything from the Salads, to the appetizers, to the main course to the dessert and even the smallest garnishes are laced with unequaled flavor. Since we visit this restaurant so frequently, anything we say would be redundant. Instead, I will write about the amazing special we tried on this particular visit. The Lamb Moussaka was the highlight this evening and it was incredible! We visit many Greek restaurants and even been to Greece once or twice, but nothing was as good as this this. Every bite was filled with flavor and the freshest ingredients! Not a fan of Baklava but it was amazing here, VERY moist!!!"
