The Park Bistro & Bar showcases only the freshest, local and organically grown produce as well as naturally raised meats and line-caught fish. Executive Chef Adam Carpenter has created an approachable, yet inventive menu, presenting a French twist on American fare. With a wholesome and earthy quality, many dishes elevate “comfort” food. Natural light from the romantic inner fountain courtyard, intimate alcoves, a large communal table and versatile private dining spaces. Rustic stone floors, natural wood tables, leather seating and an original art program create a warm and inviting, yet grand and inspiring, space that will create the most memorable dining experience in Lafayette. The Park Bar overlooks the recently renovated covered patio with an adjacent outdoor terrace featuring two fire pits offering both dining and casual lounge seating year round.   • "I recently had the pleasure of dining at the Park Bistro and Bar with my family - we were celebrating my mom's 80th birthday. I requested for a quiet table and was pleased to be seated at a prime location in the restaurant. Our server, Vivian, showed great tact in handling my elderly parents and provided great background information on the entrees. We ordered the scallop special and Mary's chicken - all entrees were perfectly cooked and presented. For dessert, we ordered the butterscotch pot de creme and the meyer lemon tart - outstanding choices! The dining experience was a relaxing and fun occasion - the restaurant is not too formal, but does offer well-priced and high-quality food. "

  • "We tried the Park Bistro for the first time since it's reinvention and were delightfully surprised. The stuffy ambience is now warm and inviting and works for both dressing up or dropping in. My husband and I had a delicious meal. I had the angel hair pasta with marinara -- the simplest of dishes, but unlike many others I have experienced, this one was prepared to perfection. My husband had the braised short ribs over polenta -- another winner. The huge bonus was truly excellent service -- our wait person was seasoned, smart and wonderfully gracious."

  • "Had an early Sunday dinner. Looked like Gods waiting room. Not crowded at all but the people there were OLD. All 12 of them. Place has been redone but still has vibe of generic hotel restaurant. Something about the seating arrangements. We were one of about 4 tables and were sat in far back against the wall in the corner when lovely window booths were available? Decided to go with cocktails and apps. Moscow mule was spot on, even in a copper mug. Flatbread, mac n cheese, ahi tartare and fried calamari were so good we had to get seconds on a few. Service was good, not amazing, not bad--just ordinary. But the place is just BLAND. it is a lovely hotel but the restaurant is lacking any kind of personality, even though the food is quite tasty."

My only disappointment was that the profiteroles that I was anticipating for dessert (and told everyone how delicious they were) was taken off the menu."

  • "The food is delicious. Every lettuce leaf has "just picked" freshness. Interesting presentations. The service is outstanding. Their special cocktails have interesting ingredients, such as (elderflower) and are delicious. The portions are very small, however, so do not come hungry. Would consider going back for drinks and appetizers."

  • "I took my wife to the Park Bistro & Bar for her birthday dinner. Everything we ordered was superb, from the drinks to the salads (Caesar for her, beet for me) to our outstanding entrees. I chose the braised short ribs which were the most tender I'd ever eaten. My wife ordered the filet and it was beyond tender and delicious, perfectly good. The creme brulee with a birthday candle was the final bit of perfection for our wonderful meal."

  • "We had dinner here last night and loved the out door fire pits. What a great place to enjoy a cocktail. We were sat inside at a nice booth by the window for dinner and their menu has lots of options. The problem we had was that the service was extremely slow! I mean painfully slow and this place was not busy at all. I think it was probably an hour from when we first at down to when we finally got our main courses. The chicken dish was fabulous but the salmon was over cooked. We didn't say anything about the salmon because we had been there so long we didn't want to have to wait again for our food."

  • "We were thrilled to see that tablecloths have been returned to cover the tables in the elegant renovated dining room. On our first visit after the renovation, tables were barren and the effect was inconsistent with the vibe of the room and the quality of the food. Although it’s called The Park Bistro and Bar, the food is upscale and beautifully served–thus the need for tablecloths in the restaurant. The bar serves a perfect margarita in a tall glass with a slice of lime. The French onion soup is rich and soothing, the bruschetta is lively. The Lamb T-bone is fantastic-juicy, tender, and served at the correct temperature. Service is professional and friendly and a surprise birthday dessert was the icing on a perfect evening."

  • "We hadn't been to this restaurant since it became the Park Bistro. There was great variety among the dishes, you could go full scale dinner with appetizers or choose an upscale burger. The portions were generous and everything was very tasty, Good choices of wine by the glass or bottle. Our waitress was lovely! low key, efficient with a nice sense of humor, we were on our way to the theatre and she made sure that our meals came out promptly yet we didn't feel rushed at all. Overall we had a very pleasant experience, we will certainly go back."

  • "The bar was packed but the bartender still knew a lot of people by name. Everyone was friendly. The new interior is light and bright, and the lighting was perfect. Enough to see, but soft and flattering. The only thing that wasn't Wgreat were the frites with the steak frites. They should be thinner, and crispy, and these were too thick, and seemed like they were left in the basket hanging over the hot oil, so they absorb the oil and get a bit soggy. But the steak was fab, the sauce on the side was delicious, the pasta with shrimp had huge shrimp, and the calamari was perfect. We would definitely come back again."

  • "When the Lafayette Park Hotel removed the Duck Club and expanded the Bistro in that space they missed the draw of the old Bistro by miles. The old Bistro had a "clubby" feel about it. You ate in the bar. It seemed like you could always get in (no reservations in bistro/bar area) and there was an energy that's missing now. The expanded portion does accept reservations and seating was immediate, while the bar portion was a 30 - 45 minute wait, with people waiting. We sat in a window booth — very nice. Our server, Nicole was very good, answered all our questions and double checked with the chef on one entree. The menu is the same throughout and the food was excellent. The Steak was excellent, the Ahi was perfect. Luis in the bar tops."

  • "Stopped in on Friday night after work. We Had made a reservation while sitting on Bart. Haven’t been here for years, and we were surprised for the change. The place had a great buzz and was fun and lively. We ordered a bunch of food. Some of the best things were the Beet salad, Seafood Carbonara, and a fun “Amuse” the chef sent out. A tuna confit in a French cheese puff. Also since the food was so great the service had to matched as well, and it did. Over all a great way to end the week. We will be back for more. Word is the house made vegetarian black bean burger is amazing."

  • "Just really have become a fan of this restaurant. I like how you can have different experience, in the bar for a great martini by the fireplace, on the patio for some alfresco dining or in the main dinning room for a great meal overlooking the majestic fountain courtyard. I haven't had a bad food experience from bar snacks to filet mignon, I really enjoy a few of their healthy items also like the quinoa salad and house made veggie burger. Service always friendly and attentive also."

  • "When I booked the reservation I looked at the menu. In addititon to the fixed price brunch there was a lunch menu. When I arrived i asked to see the lunch menu, and after discussion with the waiter and a manager ( I think that is who she was) we were told it was not available. They said the kitchen could not accommodate doing the lunch menu. The brunch was well done, just more food than I wanted, and was more than I had expected to pay for lunch. Service was spotty. Seems communication between the wait staff and back staff was poor. The waited did appoligize when informed."

After starting with salads that were good, but uninspired (the beets were undercooked, for example), we were wowed by our entrees. The lamb t-bone was delicious, perfectly prepared to order, and the green beans and potatoes dauphin were great as sides. My spouse had the salmon on the prix fixe menu and loved it, including the winter-appropriate beans and chard that came with. Try the butterscotch pot du creme for dessert. Service was attentive and easy-going and the wine list matched well with the menu. All-in-all, we would definitely come again."

  • "Experience was excellent -- food and service were both great. Our server was knowledgeable about the menu items, and was very patient with us. It was our first time at this restaurant and there was absolutely no feeling like we were being rushed out. We tried a variety of items, including starters, soups, four entree's and two desserts and were pleased with everything we ate. Our reservation time was 5:00 pm and we were able to enjoy the experience at our leisure for over 3 hours. Dessert was ah-mazing, so don't miss out on the creme brûlée or the butterscotch pot de creme."

  • "My husband and I took my father out for dinner. We anticipated a decent meal but were surpised how great the meals were. I started off with the soup, flavor amazing, but just a little cool. The delivery is nice but they might consider heating the bowls since they serve the soup at your table. I had the flank steak, my husband the braised short rib and my father the carbonara. The braised short rib won the prize for delivery and tenderness but all three were excellent. The butterscotch pudding was a stroll down memory lane, rich wonderful and gone quickly!"

  • "Love that the Restaurant menu has merged with the Bistro and the same delicious food is offered wherever you are seated. Love the remodeled restaurant, previously I was a confirm bar foodie and never bothered with the over-priced boring food in the restaurant section, Service from our waitress was wonderful, but several servers had to locate the hostess for me to be seated. Noise level was so bad that the waitress could not even hear to take our order. We were shouting at each other to be heard and even asked if the decorate drape panels on either side of our banquette could be drawn to reduce the noise. No such luck. It put a serious damper on an otherwise delightful lunch."

  • "Used to love eating lunch at the Bistro, but my recent dinner experience left me feeling a little let down. The prices are higher than expected, and the new decor (at least in the back room where we were seated) did not have an inviting feel. They seem to be going for a chic monochromatic French look, but really it just feels "blah". The wine menu was okay, but the food menu seemed limited, and again, the prices were just too high. I will say that the French Onion soup lived up to its reputation: delicious and authentic! :)"
