  • "The Palm never disappoints. Always a great steak and done to perfection."

  • "We were very happy with the outstanding service we received from the time we walked in to the end from the manager to the hostess. Great experience! Thank you"

  • "I can understand some "growing pains" after being closed for remodeling - but the Palm/Houston has had enough time to get their act in order. Service continues to be horrible, slow to get even drinks and a menu. Cold steak and side orders! For this kind of money, and with all of the other good steak houses in Houston, the Palm needs to come around quickly on both service and quality of food."

  • "I ordered the New York Strip and it was delicious. I would definately come back."

  • "Went for my wife and her twin brother's 60th bday with our grown kids. Most had lobster, I had veal martini. Lobster was broiled to their liking, still moist. a little overpriced, though we're more used to east coast pricing. veal was okay, nothing to brag about. free cake dessert for birthday. wine list was way overpriced. a bottle of Santa Margherita pinot grigio that I can by at Kroger or Sam's for under 20$ was 57$ on special. Service was very good / attentive. It is not a "quiet" restaurant, but it wasn't too loud. looked like a good bar scene at 6:30."

  • "We always enjoy The Palm. Steaks are cooked consistently to-order (my "medium rare" steak came out perfectly medium rare). The potato and creamed spinach side-dishes are excellent. Though my wife's fish was slightly overcooked. Otherwise an excellent meal."

  • "The only issue I have with this place was the 2 glasses of wine we order and paid 20.00 each and it was very clear that the wine we we were given was not a very good wine and for $20.00 that would be the only disappointment I had with the place. I guess we were drinking very good wine before we arrived and that did not set well with me and my party"

  • "My husband & I ate at the Palm on the night of Father's Day. We shared the lobster special which came with two salads & a side dish. The food was outstanding & could not have been better. We plan to go again soon for our 50th wedding anniversary. My only complaint is that they could not find our membership number, so we did not get credit for this visit."

  • "First time there and we live in neighborhood, improperly greeted by host answering phone and not putting it on hold to take care of our seating reservations. Felt awkward and not special since we were potential new patrons. Overall after that and our guest spoke with the manager about this, food and service was good. Bad review for my first impression."

  • "Took my son for lobster & steak, June 14th for an early dinner. Service was attentive when the restaurant was not crowded, but really waned later. Food came early, took 25 minutes to get the check. This is a very clicky restaurant with repeat customers getting the attention. A couple other customers who arrived later complained about the time to get their wine and appetizers. The special was $99 for a 4 lb lobster with appetizer & side. We considered a 6 lb lobster, but went the special, plus a steak. The lobster was good, not great, but was closer to 3 lbs instead of 4. The steak belonged at Outback or Sizzler, no flavor, couldn't get it cooked to our liking after sending it back twice. Disappointing for a high end restaurant."

  • "The Palm is my personal favorite to take new friends; and to meet longtime friends. All aspects of this restaurant are 5 Star plus. We always have a divine experience at The Palm, whether it's lunch or dinner."

  • "It is always a treat and a very pleasant experience to dine at the Palm, Houston. The service was outstanding with top notch professional waiter. The food arrived promptly in a timely manner all together in perfect order. My father and I shared a 4lb. lobster, which was not bad, however it was not the best Lobster I've had. It was rather rubbery and chewy. The rest of my party has the Ahi Tuna and that was presented and cooked to perfection. It was sumptuous and delicious. Everything else was top quality and very tasty. The Palm is an all time favorite, and I will most definitely return."

  • "Love this restaurant, but had an unfortunate incident in which the food I ordered came out as something else and I had to wait a very long time for them to correct the mistake. The server should have checked to see if we had gotten what we ordered, but she did not. She had no clue that I had to send it back through the manager. This is the first and only time I've had a problem, so we will continue to eat at the Palm as we think their food and service is normally uncomparable."

  • "The service was impeccable. Love that they had enough people to serve everyone their meal at the same time. Best cooked filet I've had in Houston."

  • "Took my wife for 20th wedding anniversary had really enjoyed the service. We only go out to really nice restaurants once or twice a year for special occasions. Our waiter Greg, was truly interested in servicing our table. Checked on us enough, but not enough that he interrupted our meal and conversation. Food was very delicious and good portions as well. We wanted dessert but could not eat another bite. Very popular restaurant as there was not one seat empty on our way out. We both agree that we will return again."

  • "Arrived and was seated. Not the best table, but it was ok. Waiter introduced himself and was excellent for the duration of the dinner. Food was excellent in quality and quantity. "

  • "Great food but very poor service. We loved the old wait wait staff, but since the reopening the service has not been close to what it use to be. "

  • "My wife, 9 year old daughter and I went to the Palm to celebrate moving in to a new home. We ordered the double steak for $99 split a 3lb lobster, had half and half, etc. it was a good experience but not as great as other visits. The waiter was nice but sometimes hard to find. The steak had a vein of gristle through it. We ordered it medium rare, but it came out rare. The flavor was great. I've been going to the Palm for thirty years. This was the only time it hasn't been exceptional, so if say this time was a fluke. "

  • "My overall experience was very nice. Only 2 setbacks to the evening. 1- My medium-rare steak was cooked medium. Martin(waiter) agreed. The steak was nonetheless very enjoyable. 2- the group of gentlemen next to us displayed a vulgar proclivity to profanity thus tarnishing the air of sophistication and elegance. I was mostly able to ignore it. My wife on the other hand was less fortunate. Over all, Martin provided extraordinary service which I value greatly. I will definitely be returning !"

  • "the food was great but our waiter was more impressed with the people in the next table. they apparently new some of the staff and so they where much more important then we where. I really expect better from Palms "

  • "I took my mom and family here in Mother's Day this year and loved it. We shared the Chilean sea bass and salmon; both were amazing. The service from Gabe was extremely good. Highly recommended!"

  • "The Palm burgers are SUPERB! The best in Houston. However if you're coming for lunch, as we did, allow 2 hours for even the simplest of orders. I recommend for dinner or a long business luncheon. Must state that the field green salad with garlic vinaigrette was terrible. The kitchen used red wine vinegar and oil instead of garlic vinaigrette and made the flavors overpowering...burned my mouth and nearly made the salad inedible. Needs improvement. "

  • "If you are looking for a great lunch spot, try the Palm and order from the Power Lunch Menu. I happened to be there twice in one week for lunch meetings and ordered special of the day. One day was the Scallops with Parmesan Risotto and the other was Almond crusted Hallibut. They were both delicious and the best I've had...."

  • "Our food was delicious. We each had a different type of steak. I had a Filet and my husband had a bone in Strip. They were both very good. Our sides were excellent as well. We started in the bar and had a drink before our dinner. Our table was ready on time. Our waiters were friendly and very knowledgeable."

  • "At 10 am Wednesday I made a reservation for 3 for lunch at 11:30 that same day. When I arrived at 11:20 I was told the restaurant was closed as the city had turned off the water. However, they were allowing guests in for a meeting in their large conference room with a separate entrance at the back and then several people were allowed into the main part of the restaurant as well. I saw this as I was waiting out front for the rest of my party to arrive. After about 15 minutes (one of my party was late) they put out a closed for private party sign but continued to allow a few people in to the main restaurant. Our party went to the other end of the shopping center and had lunch at Fuad's, no problem with the water there! "

  • "Saturday night early, arrival 7:00pm. Seated right away. Greeted by two waiters by name as we walked to our table. Booth as I had requested. Waiter was Bruce. Outstanding service through out our dinner. Lobster great as usual. Had a side order of 8oz filet. Really OK but not top of the line steak house quality. My reason for visit was Palm's lobster. Great selection 3, 4, 5, 6 and 8 pound. It does not get any better than Palm Lobster!"

  • "The last time my wife and I dined here it was before their recent renovation. Frankly, the service and the food were disappointing and we resolved to not return. I have eaten at many incarnations of The Palm across the country, mostly in NYC, and have never been disappointed. We gave the remodeled version in Houston a try last week, and were delighted with the excellent quality of the food and the outstanding service. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for superb, steak-centered, fine dining experience. "

  • "We have been dining at The Palms for numerous years and continually enjoy the service, food, drinks & ambience as if it were our first time. We will continue to take family, friends, co-workers & employees to The Palms for years to come and enjoy the experience."

  • "I have been going to The Palm for years and our dinner tonight was as hoped for and as expected. We had calamari for our appetizer and a 3# lobster, filet mignon with goat cheese mashed potatoes for dinner. We couldn't leave without taking home dessert. BTW, they also have the BEST key lime pie in town. "

  • "We have eaten here on numerous occasions and I must say that each time I come away feeling as though I had a good meal that was overpriced. There is nothing specific that I can point to that drives this feeling. The remodel presents a nice atmosphere. The wait staff is efficient and for the most part friendly. The food, to me, is uninspiring (what can you do with a streak!!). In fairness, they may serve the best Chilean Sea Bass in Houston, it is a generous portion, flaky and prepared to perfection. If you have a special occasion to celebrate this is probably a good choice, otherwise there are better places to get good food at a reasonable price."

  • "Have been eating at Palm restaurants for 30 years! Was glad ours (Houston location)was once again open for business after the remodel! Steaks & sides are great & lobsters are huge! Best Lobster Bisque & half & half as well! Biggest disappointment in the WORLD is no longer having the chocolate moose anymore it was the best!!!!!!!! "

  • "Everything was perfect for my mother's 68th birthday party. Servers and wait staff were attentive and made sure drinks and dishes were right on time. Bone in rib eye, NY strip, and the lamb chops were cooked to order and incredibly tasty. The green beans and potatoes au gratin were our sides and they are second to none. Overall this was a wonderful experience. "

  • "all good marks for this restaurant but the wine list markup on many of the wines was ridiculous. They would make up in volume the difference just by marking up the bottles by $25. This would bring bigger crowds on the slow nights. The competition is moving in this direction and you do not want to be left behind."
