  • "I had read past reviews and found them ALL without merit. It was obvious that these people don't eat out much. Our server ( Sacco ) was spot on with the whole meal. He was knowledgeable about everything on the menu. The dinner came out hot and great. I would recommend this place to anyone. It was not the quietest place to eat but not really loud."

  • "Went to celebrate a belated birthday and had the three pound lobster plus the large filet. They were kind enough to split them so we had an excellent surf and turf. Staff is very accommodating and ready to please. Food is always top notch. They even signed a birthday card and presented it at the end of the meal. Nice touch."

  • "I love the Palm; however, my steak was a little overcooked and yet not hot when it got to my table. That could have been the waiter given that he was not frequently coming around. I typically get better service at the Palm."

  • "Food was warm, service was horrible, GM is cold, no welcoming feeling. We waited 15 for a breadbasket where only about 6 tables were being serviced. The GM was unresponsive to my email of feedback. The food was mediocre. The potatoes gratain for example was chopped potates drowned in cream and no flavor oversalted. Drinks are small and boring at $14. The steak was overcooked and we were told it would 20 min for a new one. The best steaks in Boston are at Abe & Louise's. The Caesar salad was salty and lettuce had red pieces and wilted pieces. Definitely not worth $260 on a meal for 2. Menus were dirty. Glasses broken and dirty. Horrible experience!"

  • "The waiter got a few things wrong and for a business lunch unless you have two and half hours to spend on a business lunch go right ahead, but if you don't have the luxury of being away for that long skip it. We only wanted one desert and repeated that and the waiter brought two and charged us for two. Not even worth arguing over as who knows how long that would have taken to resolve."

  • "Tried your restaurant for the 1st time for a client luncheon. My server was not as knowledgeable as I'd have expected given the level of establishment. I had the crab cake sandwich, which was served on a stale roll. Also, the side of cole slaw was all of 2 bites served in a small metal ramekin, hardly what I'd expect for a lunch that cost close to $20. There was no value for price paid and the experience was extremely forgettable. Won't be back."

  • "Except for the remarkable space that it's in, a huge semi rotunda, we found Palm to be underwhelming. If you REALLY like anchovies order the Caesar salad. We got a handful on each salad; a bit too much even for our anchovy eater. The french fries were excellent. Otherwise, the steaks were good but very overpriced and the veal parmesan was basic. Too much salt on everything, we thought. We had a vegetarian in our group who can usually do quite well at grills because there are so many sides and salads - but that approach didn't work here. I probably wouldn't recommend Palm because there are so many other good restaurants in the area, but if you want a pricey steak house with an interior that catches your eye, this would be a good spot."

  • "As a customer of the Palm for 20 years- we had there most surprisingly horrible experience. the service is impeccable. We ordered Salmon and Prime Rib. the Prime Rib was spoiled and smelled- is was discolored. When bringing it to the managements attention- they apologized- BUT CONTINUED TO SERVE THIS CUT! Can you Believe it? Another person at the next table- the same complaint. My wife's salmon was all fat and she did not eat it. They did bring me a NY strip which was very tasty- but having lost me appetite- ate 3 bites and asked to wrap it up to go home and throw the salmon out. when we got home- the salmon was in the bag and they threw the steak out. Gladly when I called back and spoke to Beth the manager she gladly refunded our meal."

  • "Waiter recommended prix fix menu. We obliged. Petite filet with lobster and Bernaise was melt in your mouth tender. Lobster bisque was a standout and was gluten free (thickened with rice). Green beans were yummy with pancetta and pine nuts. Goat cheese mashed potato was tasty, as well. No room for dessert, with generous sides and a drink. Had a gift certificate which helped defray the cost. Would normally be on the high side for us. Will have to do cheap eats for awhile to make up for the splurge."

  • "We had made note of fact this was our 50th anniversary when we made our Open Table reservation but were pleasantly surprised by all the attention paid to us on this special occasion. Brian Brosnihan, the manager, made sure to visit us several times and the Executive Chef also paid us a visit. We have dined here before and our server Joseph Rhoudou has served us before. He is professional, efficient, and friendly. Everything went perfect from our greeting at the door to our leaving. The best part though was the food. We had a lump crabmeat crab cake and it was the best we have ever had, and that includes those we had in Baltimore a couple of years ago. Filet cooked perfectly and 1/2 lobster were delicious. A great spot for a romantic meal."

  • "We had heard from a few people that the Palms was one of the better places to get some nice food in Boston, we were feeling like steak that day and decided to forgo our usual Capitol Grille and try it out. Everything was great up until it came to our steaks. It could have been a different method of cooking, but the medium rare steak did not look like the typical red, juicy steak. If anything, it looked as if the edges were well done, and the inside was on the rarer side of rare. Outside of that, everything was great."

  • "We were back to celebrate another birthday celebration. Once again Stephani gave us a warm welcome back and made the whole night special. They had Prime Rib as a special and we got two huge portions to complement our split lobster "surf and turf" it was the best prime rib in my long dining career, needless to say we had enough leftovers for a great brunch and another great leftover meal."

  • "I have eaten at the Palm several times in the past for work related events, but saw an opportunity to bring my wife and her parents for dinner before attending a show in Boston since none of them had ever been. From the start to the end of our time there they raved about everything, service, selections, specials, wine, food, and desert. It made a night out with the in-laws and my wife a great all around time. We will be doing it again soon."
