Great day and very much fun day.6/14/2013 12:00:00 AMBirthdayWe have a child with several allergies. Thhe staff was very helpful. She had a wonderful birthday.6/13/2013 12:00:00 AMThe Way it's supposed to be!I've been the Palm Court many, many times. It amazes me that I continue to be amazed whenever I go there!
Is it the elegant, arm chairs? The attentive service? The beautifully presented entrees ?The people dining there? I'm sure it's all of those.
You just sit there and feel like......I really do love it here!6/12/2013 12:00:00 AMHigh Class and UnpretentiousThe kindest most attentive staff. Very friendly. Very comforting to guest who may go alone and possibly be inexperienced. I will come back for tea as many times as I can and share it with as many loved ones as possible! ❤6/12/2013 12:00:00 AMbirthday treatTook girlfriend for her birthday breakfast and from start to finish they made us feel fantastic. The hostess made a great table available and the senior host then took great care of us. As an extra treat they provided some cakes, chocolate strawberry and a candle, whilst singing happy birthday. Its the plaza 5th avenue nyc what is there not to love.6/11/2013 12:00:00 AMAfternoon TeaSpectacular food and service! I ordered the New Yorker and everything was delicious. There was more than enough food that I was too full to finish all the desserts. My waiter was patient and I didn't feel rush to finish my meal. The Plaza is a must try for afternoon tea!6/11/2013 12:00:00 AMService above-and-beyond!In the comments section of my reservation through Open Table, I simply indicated that we were dining for brunch to celebrate my mother's 70th birthday. As a result, much to our surprise after our meal concluded the pianist played Happy Birthday, and the waitstaff came out singing with a decadent and delicious platter of a large flour-less chocolate cake, beautifully decorated with a chocolate meringue, chocolate covered strawberry, raspberry truffle, and several other fine treats! The platter even read, "Happy 70th Birthday!" All of this was a surprise and compliments of the chef. We felt appreciated, celebrated, and very happy to have chosen The Palm Court for the celebration; they really made it special!6/9/2013 12:00:00 AMBreakfast at the PlazzaExcellent choice on the menu and the palm court decor itself is outstanding. Only a couple of points for improvement are
1. The omelette was over cooked
2. A couple of guests tried to eat each other rather than the food. They should have booked a room and not breakfast. It was a pity the staff allowed this display to carry on as it annoyed diners6/9/2013 12:00:00 AMFairy Tale for any little girl! The service at the Palmcourt was outstanding! It was my daughter's 8th birthday. They treated her like a true star! Everything was perfect!6/8/2013 12:00:00 AMAlways a treatThe Palm Court is one of my favorite places to dine, however, our waiter left a lot to be desired this time. It detracted from the overall experience.6/8/2013 12:00:00 AMNice tea with little girlsWe had afternoon tea and enjoyed the experience. The staff was wonderful with our little girls and had some special treats for them. The room is beautiful and nicely decorated. It did take a little while and was pricey.6/7/2013 12:00:00 AMWomen love it!Went there with my mother on a special occasion and it was much appreciated. I would not go for any day kind of affair though!6/7/2013 12:00:00 AMGirls AfternoonReally relaxed atmosphere, perfect place to catch up with friends. Service was excellent didn't feel rushed. Dress code states business casual, but I would say most attire is acceptable - smart to casual. Would totally recommend it.6/7/2013 12:00:00 AMTea at the Palm Court at theTea at the Palm Court at the Plaza is truly special. The three tiers of finger sandwiches, scones and tasty little baked treats are all exquisite lay selected and prepared. A treasure to be shared with a special friend, with reuniting family and across generations.6/6/2013 12:00:00 AMAfternoon Tea - Splendid Of Course!I have taken Afternoon Tea all around the city & several times @ the Plaza and it is ALWAYS a marvelous experience. The service, presentation, environment and of course, the actual tea is simply top notch!! I bring guests visiting New York for the first time here as an introduction to a civilized and indulgent NY afternoon spent enjoying a light repast that sets the bar for five star Big Apple experience.6/6/2013 12:00:00 AMBeyond Wonderful! You must go here!Had afternoon tea as a birthday present from my husband. It was beyond wonderful! The setting was lovely, and romatic. All of the staff were attentive, courtesy and kind and did not rush us. Kept our tea hot refilling our cups. The scones were amazging, as were the sweets and sandwhiches. We selected the New Yorker and the Eloise Tea. Next time we will try to the Chocolate Tea, since we saw how good it looked on the table next to us. We were suprised at how large the portions were and how full we were when we left. Even my hustband loved it. They also had the piano player play happy birthday for me, and presented me with a dessert platter and a candles which was thoughtful, and topped off an already wonderful and magical experience.6/2/2013 12:00:00 AMBrunch in NYCGodo food, beautiful place, its a Nice way to begin your trip.6/2/2013 12:00:00 AMBirthday at The Palm CourtI gave The Palm Court afternoon tea service only a four stars: I would have liked more variety in their tea selection. For the price of their tea service, I expected to receive my own three-tiered plate; instead, I shared it with my friend who came along to celebrate my birthday. I give their finger sandwiches a 4 stars. Their bread was on the moist side versus a bit dry at other Tea Parlors in the city. I liked the following finger sandwiches: smoked salmon, roasted turkey, curried lobster salad, and cucumber. I was not too keen on the wild sturgeon, or the deviled quail egg salad. Their small scones and Devonshire clotted cream were okay.
I liked the exquisite old-world era feel to the place. It reminded me of Europe.5/30/2013 12:00:00 AMWonderful staff. Wonderful serviceThis place is truly special. From the moment you walk in, you are transported to a place that is civilized and just fantastic. The service is phenomenal. The staff is kind and courteous. It is a great escape from the hustle and bustle of the city.5/28/2013 12:00:00 AMClassy AtmosphereWe had an exceptional tea time at a special location with a great décor and classy atmosphere!5/28/2013 12:00:00 AMSpectacularGreat atmosphere, fine dining for tea, and exquisite flavors for the teas themselves.5/27/2013 12:00:00 AMGreeting from HostessHostess was rude and repremanded me for adding a person to my reservation. Didn't have a good customer service approach. Server was not friendly and not customer focused. Food was deliciously fabulous.5/26/2013 12:00:00 AMWonderful Mother/Daughter Tea!Truly enjoyed the afternoon tea with my mom on a Sunday afternoon. She had the classic tea and I had the chocolate tea! So great! Food was delicious, ambiance is wonderful with a pianist! Wonderful for couples, girls date, or even for little girls!5/26/2013 12:00:00 AMA Great Place to CelebrateMy wife and I had a wonderful experience having Tea at the Plaza famous Palm Court. Overall, a great experience. PS - when I said kid-friendly above I was referring to the fact that they have the Eloise Tea. But, if you have kids and are coming here, you already knew that!5/25/2013 12:00:00 AMA memorable experienceI came with my mom and sister to celebrate my little sister's birthday. Since we were kids, we had always wanted to stay here and since I can't afford a stay I figured brunch was the next best thing. The experience was amazing all together. The food was good but I'm sure u can go somewhere else for the same and a lot cheaper. The experience though was something else all together. The room was completely beautiful and completely makes you feel you're in another date and time. Our server was amazing, his name was Fazir. He took really good care of us and made the birthday celebration amazing by bring my sister a Bellini on the house and a chocolate cupcake and chocolate covered strawberries with a candle to celebrate.5/25/2013 12:00:00 AMBreakfast surpriseThe Palm Court was a great experience for my son and I, they really looked after us
I was a little worried using Open table - but it worked great with reminder emails timed to perfection - thank you5/24/2013 12:00:00 AMA nice tea in the afternoonA nice tea in the afternoon with all the expected sandwiches, scones, and treats. The service, food quality, tea selection and ambience were outstanding.5/22/2013 12:00:00 AMWe always enjoy lunch at theWe always enjoy lunch at the Plaza. Who wouldn't?? Such a wonderful venue.5/21/2013 12:00:00 AMVery special 60th birthdayVery special 60th birthday high tea! Delicious and memorable!5/20/2013 12:00:00 AMThe Perfect Spot for Tea with MomI wanted to give my mom a special experience for Mother's Day, so her gift was a tea at the Plaza. Mind you-she's never been to a tea in her life-so this was quite the experience. We got two New York-style teas and 1 chocolate tea to split and could hardly finish any of it...so much food! The apple and ginger spiced tea was delicious, and the sandwiches were surprisingly filling. I loved that they provided genuine Devonshire cream to go with the scones and that the scones came in different flavors. The New York tea has some dessert included, so adding the chocolate experience wasn't necessary-but we love fondue so we reveled in it. Our waiter never rushed us, and was the epitome of a gentleman. I will surely be back!5/20/2013 12:00:00 AMA memorable experienceOur brunch at The Plaza was a wonderful New York experience - we felt like royalty. Service and food exceeded our expectations. Thank you to all the staff.5/19/2013 12:00:00 AMbooked this venue for a specialbooked this venue for a special birthday occasion & it did not disappoint. the whole experience was just amazing. you might think it is a triffle expensive but NO. it is worth every dollar. the food, the service, the ambiance is just amazing.5/19/2013 12:00:00 AMFeeling SpecialThe Palm Court for lunch is a great place for a special occasion. The food is very good and we added a momosa as a special drink this time. The drink was a bit, well, very expensive ($25), so I would rethink that in the future. But it is in The Plaza. But we, my very good friend and I, sat for 2 hours with no one to hurry us (we don't spend much time together very often) as we enjoyed our special luncheon.5/17/2013 12:00:00 AMHigh Tea at the PlazaHigh Tea at the Plaza -- The food was divine. Every sandwich, scone, and dessert was delicious and gorgeous. The ambience and decor was elegant. The service was very good when present. A few times, staff would disappear for awhile and it was hard to get the attention of a waiter if we needed something or had a question. But that last issue could be due to the fact that we arrived just before 5pm and while they were happy to serve us, tea seating ends at 5pm. It was my mother's birthday and they brought her a beautiful plate with happy birthday written on it - a lovely touch.5/15/2013 12:00:00 AMEmptyCould not give me time requested even with many empty tables5/15/2013 12:00:00 AMTimelessWe enjoyed high tea so much it felt like we had steped back in time to an era where the grace and elegance of afternoon tea was a given. Taking that small period of your day to relax and enjoy the company of someone special while participating in a time honored tradition! Thank you to the staff at the Palm Court for making our experience even better than we imagined!5/15/2013 12:00:00 AMFor a Special OccasionHigh Tea at The Plaza in NYC is something to be done once for the ambiance, décor and to say you did it. The ambiance and piano are wonderful. Service is good. Food is OK. Deserts and the tea itself are best. Very pricey but if you are a bucket list kind of person or enjoy formal tea, you will enjoy,5/15/2013 12:00:00 AMAfternoon DelightMy wife and I had Afternoon Tea at The Plaza for a special treat during our visit to New York, service, ambience in fact everything perfect the Maitre De was extremely friendly chatted to us for a while, would recommend to anyone after all it is "The Plaza"5/14/2013 12:00:00 AMElegant atmosphere, lovely serviceWe enjoyed a Mother's Day breakfast in the Palm Court dining room at the Plaza Hotel. It was relaxing and enjoyable from start to finish. I ordered Classic Eggs Benedict and my husband ordered Mushroom Benedict and a side of bacon. We shared the sweet roll basket. It was a special treat!

A splendid way to spend an afternoon with high tea5/7/2013 12:00:00 AMAfternoon Tea at the PlazaLoved it! It's perfect for a free afternoon with girlfriends to talk or gossip and actually hear each other. The food was shockingly good! Each small bite was bursting with flavor. The teas were a perfect combination with the food too. Loved it!! Three snaps up!5/6/2013 12:00:00 AMIconic setting - watch the billIconic setting in a historic hotel. Nice atmosphere. Food was ok - nothing special it's more about the setting. Beware though 6 of us met for Sunday brunch - 4 ate from the buffet 2 from the menu. 1 person who ate from the menu also ate a small pastry from a plate on our table belonging to a person who ate from the buffet. They tried to charge us $14 for a pastry basket. So they watch what you eat!5/5/2013 12:00:00 AMAfternoon Tea at the PlazaEverything was wonderful with the exception of the ...TEA!
The tea was served in pots that did not retain the heat. Had to ask the waiter to re-supply us in order to have decent cup of tea.
