Victorian meets Spanish in the West of the 1850’s. Two blocks from the Plaza in downtown Santa Fe. Flocked wallpaper, walnut wainscoting, chandeliers and beautiful art. A little bit naughty in the bar (no reservations required) and elegant in the dining room. Great food and a friendly atmosphere… everywhere.Continued

"The food tasted good but it was not hot, lukewarm at best. We told the staff and were given a complimentary dessert. They need to determine how to deliver hot food it it should be hot!"

"This was our first visit to the Palace, and we loved it. The food (steak for me, halibut for her) was excellent. Our server, Kim, was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable. And the dining room itself is a real gem, with its deep windows, gold wallpaper, and rich details. We'll be back, for sure."

"The Palace in its new incarnation is warm and welcoming. The food is very good if somewhat lacking in the sort of imagination most people have now come to expect at a fine eatery. One quibble: we were leaving shortly after nine and the staff were already beginning to clear the unused tables of napkins, silverware, candles, etc. This creates a bad impression on patrons--after all, one large party had been seated only about a half hour before. "Unsetting" tables while guests are still there has an unwelcoming effect."

"Lunch this week; Restaurant was virtually empty, polenta appetizer was very good. But the Quiche of the day and Turkey pot pie were very average and tasteless. Not a memorable experience from a chief who has cooked many outstanding meals for us in the past."

"I had been a very frequent diner at Joseph's Table where the experience was almost always sublime. This effort, while good, is not up to the level of Joseph's Table. I would like to see Joe go back to his roots. Don't let this stop you though, give it a shot."
