Special Events & Promotions: Any special notes should be left in the reservations details section of your online reservation - we ask that you also contact the restaurant to confirm these requests as soon as possible. We reserve the right to add an 18% gratuity to parties of 8 or more. Maximum amount of split checks is six per party. Customers are permitted to bring sealed wine bottles and cakes from outside; however, there is a cake plating fee of $10 per cake and a wine corkage fee of $15 per bottle.

With a focus on flavor and culinary imagination, The Owl House menu features nightly specials, an adventurous take on sandwiches, soups and salads, and… inventive small plates and bar snacks. With appreciation for diners with varying palates and diet preferences, The Owl House menu also includes an uncommonly large selection of vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free dishes. Delicious desserts and locally roasted coffee are offered to round out the meal. Discerning beer drinkers will be pleased with The Owl House’s selection of 12 draught lines and over 20 bottles of specialty beers, each carefully chosen from local, national and international craft breweries. "Another great meal at the Owl House! We love the vegetarian and vegan options, and even some of the meat dishes. Bar offerings are creative and bold (not always successful, but worth a try!). Daily specials and regular menu items are creative and tasty and we are always satisfied and sated."

"Always spectacular. The prix fixe special meals (New Year's Eve, Valentine's Day) are worth any price. They have elevated the sandwich to an art form. The chef is incredibly creative and we have never seen a failure come from this kitchen. As a vegetarian, this place is as close to culinary heaven as we hope to find in upstate New York."

"Absolutely the best food I've had in Rochester. Delicious vegetarian options on the long specialty sandwich list and the Vegan dishes are fantastic! Delicious house drinks top it off (I recommend the "island"). I can't wait to go back."

"I loved the variety of options for all kinds of diet restrictions. It is truly appreciated, when so may restaurants get angry with you just for inquiring about ingredients! Bravo, Owl House! I liked the ambiance; however I expected it to be a bit more cozy, based on the tone of the website. I was only in the room downstairs, though, so upstairs maybe be different. Nonetheless, I would absolutely return and have recommended it to many."

"GOOD: A very distinct vegan and gluten free menu, they cater to meat lovers as well. The seitan meatball sub was phenomenal. I usually don't experiment much with vegetarian food, but the seitan meatballs made it worthwhile. Cozy atmosphere perfect for dates and special occasions. Dont forget to try the appetizing cigarillos.
BAD: Artwork posted on the walls were disturbing in nature. Bold themes bordering mental instability and self infliction. In addition, the lady sitting beside our table was incredibly loud, so much so, I heard the music only after she left!"

"The food is pretty heavy so come with an appetite and a inclining to ditch your diet. If your vegan get ready to have daiya cheese on everything! The waiter seemed distracted and acted totally different towards the older couple sitting next to us...didn't even tell us the specials! The seating downstairs is tight!! I felt like I was eating with 4 other people instead of 1. I would request to go upstairs...it is more quite and the view from your seat won't be the waitstaff chowing down in the kitchen. Hey they gotta eat too! A swinging door to the kitchen wouldn't be a bad idea. Although I'm doing a lot of complaining, the food is really good. You just have to speak up if you want specific seating etc."
