The Oregon Grill is a Maryland gem! Situated just of I-83 it is easily accessible from South Central PA and the Baltimore area. The restaurant exudes Southern elegance, charm and hospitality. It is a go to place for an elegant Sunday Brunch, featuring an extensive brunch menu of many hard to find items, served in a relaxed but attentive manner! There aren't many fine "White Table Cloth" establishments left, but this is certainly one, well worth the price and the drive to it. I hope they stay in business for many years to come - my wife and I will do our part to see that they do!

The room that we were seated in was very warm. We had asked to have the heat turned down at least three times. The kitchen was very slow. The waitress, who was very nice, kept telling us that there was a problem in the kitchen and kept apologizing for it. This was our first time dining there and I will probably not be going back there ever.

From the delightful grilled oysters and Oregon Grill salad to perfectly prepared filets and accompanied by house-specialty brussel sprouts and mushroom, our celebratory dinner (wife's bd) was a most enjoyable evening. The chef's special bread pudding for desert was an exquisite ending. Our server, Karen, was attentive and made us feel special -- as they always do at the OG.

We came here to celebrate my wife's birthday, but leave with a bit disappointed due to the food was not upto the class and price they charged for the restaurant. My wife and I had the $12 Maryland crab soup doujor but it was way too salty, I am sure it was a left over from last night. But my mom enjoyed her lobster bisque. The appetizer scallop and the fried Oysters appetizer were delicious, but the Aihi tuna over mango and avocado were ok. The tenderloin steaks were over cooked and dry, as we ordered medium. The seafood salad and the Oregon salad were disappointing.

Stopped by for late night dinner at 10pm, and started with delicious tartare and perfect glass of Chardonnay. Followed with tasty grilled seafood salad and fine crabcake sliders. But surprisingly, the star was the sweet potato fries, hot and crispy with an intense agave dipping sauce. An impressive meal!

The atmosphere and service were great and the food was good, but not what I would have expected for the price. The staff was very courteous and accommodating, but the food was ordinary to good. We had a quiet table, good conversation and a relaxing experience for a night out. Outdoor patio dining and fire pit would be nice on a warmer night.

We went for 'Steak Week' and both chose the 8 oz. filet mignon (came with baked potato, caesar salad and pumpkin cheesecake for dessert) - steaks were cooked to order perfectly, potato was also cooked perfectly (was very large, not too dry and very hot!). Loved how the salad was not too cold but still chilled- dressing supurb! Our server (Jenny?) was the perfect mix of always there when you needed her but not obtrusive. Seated upstairs, room very cozy and lighting was enough for sight but still romantic. Crowd a mix of families and date night. Our first time there but we will definitely return - great experience!

Our evening at The Oregon Grill was very disappointing and definitely not worth the cost, and I have eaten at some very good restaurants. Three of us ordered beef- not part of the steak special. The pepper steak was cooked as ordered but was not as tender as it should have been. I had to send the prime rib back because it was ordered rare and came medium. The server said the chef could not do it rare. I am thinking that is because it was not roasted. The crispy oysters were far from crispy and were too greasy to finish. The grilled Romaine salad came with plain pecans when the menu advertised spiced. Ditto the apple cake for dessert, advertised with caramel sauce came with peanut. Service was very spotty. Overall disappointing.

We went to The Oregon Grille on my brother's last night in town and it was a great experience. Our waiter was knowledgable and friendly, the food was fantastic. The atmosphere is very sophisticated with a horse theme, the restaurant is in the middle of Hunt Valley after all. Their wine list is very long and we didn't know where to start so the we asked the waiter for a suggestion and he nailed it. It was spectacular with the well made and perfectly medium rare steaks we ordered. Remember guys, wear a jacket after 5pm in the restaurant area. I'm looking forward to going back very soon to explore more of what they have to offer.

Staff and service is excellent. Menu is varied and upscale. Food adequately prepared but nothing to shout about. Pricing is extremely high and not justified by food (example: Seafood Tower [4 poached shrimp, 6 oysters on half-shell, 4 oz. of maryland crab meat and 2.5 oz. lobster - $75.00 - tasteless & PRICEY!). Other restaurants in the area have just as good or better food for half the price...

My wife and I dined at The Oregon Grille this past Saturday. We both ordered Steak with sides of Mushrooms and Mashed Potatoes. The meal arrived without the Mashed Potatoes and after another half hour the waiter informed us of a problem with our order and asked if we wanted to cancel the Mashed Potatoes, which we did. This may seem like a minor point but after spending close to $200.00 at this restaurant, I expect good service. For a "fine" Steak house to inform us of this as we are finishing our entre is unbelievable.

While the appetizers were outstanding, the overall experience was mediocre and found the restaurant overrated. Our food was delivered to a station near us--not to our table--where it sat for a few minutes until I got up and brought the food to our table myself because our server did not come over. By then, our surf and turf entrée was lukewarm at best and we still had not seen our server since the food was dropped by a food runner. When our server finally came over, we mentioned it to him, and they obviously just took the plate and microwaved it which completely ruined a $50-$60 dish.

The service was slow. We were seated for 1/2 hour and all we had was water. When we got our meals they were very ordinary at best. We have previously dined here and had impeccable service and meals. We'll try again, everyone has an off night from time to time. We always liked the piano player but on this evening it seemed he was trying to play over the conversation of the patrons which just caused everyone to talk louder, which made it less of a romantic evening then we had hoped for.

This was the most over-rated restaurant I have ever encountered. First, since I did not know this pretentious place required men to wear sports coats, we were regulated to the bar area. My main course of scallops was priced at $42 and consisted of a few overcooked scallops wrapped in bacon (how innovative!) and a tasteless root vegetable mush. Truly awful. I would never go near this place again and will discourage everyone I know from eating here.

As a diner strolls up the walkway, lined with jockeys, one gets excited about entering this restored historic building. The outdoor garden, fireplace, tables and chairs on the right, provide a welcoming delight. Upon entry to the old back porch, excitement brews, looking at the horse décor, which continues throughout the restaurant. The professional wait staff takes over, at that point. Food is attractively presented and always served, in a timely fashion, making the diner feel the quietly friendly staff can read the diner's mind. City dwellers love it! We country residents are right at home. Lunch is a great experience. Dinner is pricey but a diner's gem. Check out the bar, with the multitude of animals. The Grill reigns as king.

Took several minutes to be greeted and the host was odd & not welcoming. Server never told us the specials (he told the table next to us). I had put a note on my reservation that I have a seafood allergy that wasn't passed on and apparently there is salmon in the cracker spread. I didn't realize until almost too late Server came by with soup we didn't order, told him it wasn't ours, he said, "right, you didn't order yet." We HAD ordered, and I reminded him what it was. 45 minutes later we got our first course, after we prompted the server to go look for it. Another 30 minutes later we asked again about our food. The entrees were ok but nothing to wait that long for or pay that much money for. Skimpy seafood portions.

Atmosphere was nice - piano playing, nice lighting. But the food was awful - ruined a $45 cut of meat and a nice fish filet. Tasted like something I could make out of a microwave. Probably geared more towards an older crowd, not as much interested in a good new taste as in something consistent and easily chewed with a pair of dentures.

We made our first visit to the Oregon Grille as a couple. Our server was wonderful but apparently the kitchen was having a very OFF night. I cannot even tell you how many times our server had to come back and tell us one thing after another that we had ordered was no longer available - really - how do you run out of mashed potatoes at 8 pm on a Saturday night? Our server was very charming in her numerous apologies. Due to the fact that the kitchen was out of so much, our dining "experience" lasted over 2 hours! The atmosphere was very charming so we'll probably give it another shot but we might wait a bit to let the "bad" taste from our first experience together dissipate!

The service and ambience do not disappoint - We have been guests many times. However, this time the shrimp salad was completely unacceptable:poorly made and barely 2 oz. on a sandwich. This should be taken off the menue if you can't get it right. There was no crab cake sandwich for lunch so we were wondering if this was really Maryland? Disappointed this time.

My wife's rockfish was excellent. However, my steak ou poive was overpowered by the sauce and it was undercoked. I had ordered medium and it was, at best, medium rare.
