The Oregon GrilleGreat as always BUT spoiledGreat as always BUT spoiled by the fact that although there were few people lunching, we were seated next to a very noisy table. Although I did ask to move, and they were gracious about it, I don't see the point of trying to put people so close together when the room is mostly empty. Disappointing.6/6/2013 12:00:00 AMHusband's Birthday DinnerThis was a lovely dinner! I has asked that a Martini be waiting on the table when we were seated for my husband and they were very happy to do it. Our server was awesome and very knowledgable. The peach soup was delicious and unexpected.6/3/2013 12:00:00 AMfantastic food and servicewe came here for my husbands birthday on a friends recommendation. it was fantastic. from beginning to end we had top notch service and food to match. we had a few drinks in the quiet bar before dinner, then headed to our table. dining room was really nice, we sat near the live piano music. our server suggested most our of dinner. we shared grilled oysters, we each had a fresh salad, hubby had halibut and i had the tuna. the truffle macaroni was decadent. we were treated so special that i just can't describe what a great experience this was. highly recommend and i would go back in a heartbeat.6/3/2013 12:00:00 AMAmazing!Everything we had was superb! The oysters Rockefeller were amazing, as well as the heirloom tomatoe salad, and their soft shell crab special!5/27/2013 12:00:00 AMMewmorial day lunch on the patioMy group of 3 enjoyed the lovely weather. The patio has nice crisp linens....but the patio itself has not been swept, or had leaves and such blown off in a LONG time. We all had crab soup which was very good, & the soft shelled crabs which were excellent. Patio was busy and only two servers were almost running. Kitchen is FAR from patio, our server was charming, but almost out of breath. We almost felt guilty running her for dessert,/ more drinks/ coffee. Never saw management come assess this patio, or offer any assistance.5/27/2013 12:00:00 AMBest Area RestaurantOregon Grille is without doubt the best restaurant in the area. Great food, great service, and a great atmosphere, particularly for a special occasion. Ambiance is elegant and romantic. Outdoor dining is also quite nice, and a little less formal. Arrive early and enjoy their bar before dinner.5/25/2013 12:00:00 AMWeedsThe food is always outstanding. The worst part of this experience is getting inside. The weeds in the shrubs and flowers just makes me want to pull them out as I would not have to bend over very far. Obviously the owner/manger either comes in another door or just doesn't care. But I do!5/20/2013 12:00:00 AMPhenomenal food and eveningQuiet. Romantic. Excellent service. We got scallops, crab cakes, prime rib, and lobster bisque. Everything just kept getting better. Even the hot fudge sundae at the end! Special occasion for sure. Our 10 year anniversary. Spent about 150 after tip. But worth every penny. Planning on coming back every year! It would be every week if we could afford it.5/15/2013 12:00:00 AMFirst Time DinersCelebrating my third anniversary and Mother's day. First time dining here and both my wife and I were very pleased. We were pleased with the service, the waiter was fun, made the experience that much more meaningful and pleasant for us. The food was wonderful and plentiful. Had ordered flowers as a surprise for my wife. Flowers were there at our table waiting for us. Overall, it was a very pleasant and memorable first time experience.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMNot very Kid FriendlyOregon Grille. Is a great place to dine for adults but it isn't kid Friendly for kids under 15, although the waiter made a special meal for my 11 year old son, which consisted of a grill cheese and fries. I would have rather had more choices for him on mothers day. But overall the adults enjoyed their meals, and the Lamb was excellent.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMOne of Baltimore County’s BestOregon Grille has always delivered. Service is outstanding and the entrees never disappoint. The atmosphere is what you expect from any white table restaurant. You will always leave saying you want to come back for any occasion. The one item that always amazes me is the older maître d and owner never smile during your visit. Must be a lot of stress keeping this level of service (?).5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat food and service.Went there for mother's day. Everything was nice from the moment we walked in.
Great service with great food.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMA Must-Go PlaceI had never before been to the Oregon Grille, but wanted something special for Mother's Day. We were very pleased with the entire experience. We arrived just before the beginning of the dinner hour (4:00 pm, the time of our reservation) and were welcomed in the bar while the dining room was being set up. We were immediately offered a drink while we waited, then soon after shown to our table. I was very impressed with the food and wine selection. We informed our waiter of the need for a gluten-free option and he was very solicitous in making sure that our selections would fit this requirement. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who is looking for a special occasion destination.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat pick for Mother's DayWe went here on mother's day and the service couldn't have been better. My mom is kind of picky about things and asks for a lot. She was cold and asked if the waiter could bring her a jacket. He brought her one from somewhere- I think they have a few extra jackets meant for the waitstaff. My mom asked for more bread, extra butter with jam and honey for it, lots of extra stuff- and he was so nice about continuing to get whatever she wanted with a smile. We left him a $30 tip, which was over 20% of the bill.
The food is always delicious. My sister didn't like the Oregon Grille, but she didn't tell us until she was almost done with the meal- so we didn't really feel right about complaining about it. My food was great and so was mom's.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMGood TimeWe had a nice time with 2 adults and 2 children. Service was very good and food was excellant.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMeat in the barI didn't have a sports jacket so the host invited us to dine in the bar. We got the better end of the deal. Bartenders took excellent care of us and we loved everything! Definitely going back!5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMAll around Pleasant experienceDeliciable food with a pleasant atmosphere. The staff is very welcoming.5/5/2013 12:00:00 AMexcellent food, service, andexcellent food, service, and ambience. my favorite restaurant in suburban Baltimore.4/26/2013 12:00:00 AMService a little slow. Favorite spot for clients and friends.4/16/2013 12:00:00 AMNice Secret NichVery Nice Outdoor Scene to seat and eat at dinner tables outside very refreshing , Its also a Kid-Friendly place if your family was to dine here, I did not partake in any beers or mixed drinks but wine choices were great, especially a romantic and charming restaurant to impress ones company wife friend or family members and will eat there again soon.4/13/2013 12:00:00 AMLunchExcellent service, waiter was attentive at just the right times. Food was good. Will go back to try brunch one day. Oysters Rockefeller was awesome as was the lobster roll.4/6/2013 12:00:00 AMThe Oregon Grille preservesThe Oregon Grille preserves the qualities of the fine dining of yesteryear. Its bucolic exterior is betrayed by its semi-formal interior. Patrons pass over a footbridge before they enter where they are greeted by the maître d’ and the coatroom attendant. A live piano fills the air with old standards. It is so pleasant to sit at a table covered by a clean, white tablecloth with perfectly set cutlery. Service is prompt and attentive. Of course, the menu has a grand selection of fine American cuisine available à la carte. Dishes are impressive from their fine presentation to the delectable memories they impart. Prices are moderate, but the dining experience is worth every dollar.3/31/2013 12:00:00 AMBest experience in a long time. Our first time there and it was a wonderful experience. Would go again for any special occasion and just to have wonderful food. We didn't have a chance to visit the bar but would go back there for a bite or to have a more cassual lunch. Great service, could ask for more. Top notch in the Baltimore County area for fine dinning.3/30/2013 12:00:00 AMWonderful. Accommodating.Wonderful. Accommodating. Friendly. A great choice!3/23/2013 12:00:00 AMTook my girlfriend for herTook my girlfriend for her birthday; asked for a romantic table and got one near the piano player...nice touch. Attentive service thta was not over-bearing. Food was excellently prepared and nicely presented. The only minor caveat was the steak had some gristle, but overall a nice piece of meat. Definitely a place to go to celebrate any special occasion, especially when romance is involved! Highyl recommended from soneone who has been to most of the finest restaurants in the metro area.3/17/2013 12:00:00 AMHunt Country in Hunt ValleyThis is a charming old house in the middle of open fields. Serving is both inside in a hunt breakfast setting or outside in a garden. Huge, varied brunch menu, excellent warm rolls, waffles with strawberries, prime rib hash, and on and on. We've been her twice already with many future visits in our future. Excellent choice!!3/17/2013 12:00:00 AMWaiter was friendly, knowledgable,Waiter was friendly, knowledgable, and attentive. Food was extremely good, if a little pricey.3/16/2013 12:00:00 AMAn Evening to Remember....My husband took me to OG for my birthday, and it was truly one of the best 5 meals of my life...and I have enjoyed MANY fine meals (and cooked a few myself). From the minute we walked in to the bar, to our apps, to the delightful sommelier, our fabulous dinner and wine, and even a little birthday treat...presented while the piano player softly played a few bars of Happy Birthday. I cannot recommend OR more highly. Service: Fabulous. We loved the Piano. So soft, but added so much to our evening. It has been 3 weeks and I am still dreaming about our wonderful evening at OR.3/16/2013 12:00:00 AMLooking for a new Jordan'sThe service was excellent and the ambiance was very nice. The food left a lot to be desired however. We each ordered the signature Dry-aged steak. My wife orderd the Au Povre version. My steak was cooked perfectly. Her's was over cooked. It took a while to turn the steak around and the sides got cold. Both steaks were tender and juicy as to be expected. However, neither had much flavor by themselves. The demi glaze included with my wife's steak helped hers but still the steak itself had none.
The appetizers were good, but not outstanding.
Granted, it was our first time and everyone has an off day. Still the signature item shouldn't have off days.3/15/2013 12:00:00 AMFirst time at rest.Had a veryFirst time at rest.Had a very good business lunch with great service.3/14/2013 12:00:00 AMOregon GrilleThe food here is not what it used to be. Very expensive and disappointing portions and presentation. Small piece of rockfish for $35 with soggy skin. Good small steak but served with a pile of greasy onions. Unacceptable that they also serve farm raised salmon on their menu. Great ambiance and quiet--come for that. For food and value look elsewhere.3/13/2013 12:00:00 AMAs always the Oregon GrilleAs always the Oregon Grille was exceptional. Food, service, ambiance was perfect.3/10/2013 12:00:00 AMVery attentive wait staff.Very attentive wait staff. Food was excellent...what you would expect. Even the bartenders were great, engaging without being intrusive.3/9/2013 12:00:00 AM
