The Orchard Restaurant in Kennett SquareAnniversary at the OrchardI celebrated my 9th anniversary at the Orchard, and could not have been more pleased. Although I have lived in Ksq for many years, this was my first visit to the Orchard, and it exceeded my expectations in every way. From my early stop by to drop off our beverages for the evening (BYOB) to the service at dinner to the quality of the food, it was exceptional. When we arrived for dinner, our beverages were in an ice tub chilling and our red wine was next to the table. Finally, my wife's dessert plate had "Happy Anniversary" written in chocolate. However, make sure you allow 2.5-3 hours if you are going to do appetizer/food/dessert. His menu is very creative, yet works within the structure of his classic French training. The room is reminiscent of the restaurants I've eaten at in Europe and the service is very attentive. The party of four came The Orchard at my suggestion and I was thrilled when everyone raved about their food, the service and the atmosphere. It has been several years since my last visit but I definitely will make it a point to come back every six months or so from now on.
