The OrangeryKnoxville IconThe Orangery has a been a Knoxville icon for most of my life and Chef Amber Lloyd has put together a beautiful menu. The staff is very attentive and professional and the food is just to wonderful to describe.
This is a wonderful place for a business lunch, girls day out, special occasion dinner, or large event. I have attended wedding receptions here and they are always WONDERFUL. The atmosphere of the building just makes everything feel so special.6/4/2013 12:00:00 AMDon't go here if you're in a hurryWhile the service staff was helpful and friendly & attentive, I did think the wait was long to get our food. From the time we arrived till we were served our main course, it was 40 minutes. Though my guest for lunch was served her soup and we were each served ONE slice of bread and my hot tea was brought.... it then took another half hour to receive our entrees. Overall, we were NOT in a hurry and had an enjoyable lunch. The online menu was not accurate so I was all set to order something that they didn't have. The food WAS delicious and well prepared...the menu unique. However, I think they rely a bit on their ambiance and should up the speed at which they prepare your order. My guest had a salad and I had the pork medallions.6/4/2013 12:00:00 AMPleasant surpriseWe have always gone to the Organery for special occasions but this time we sat in courtyard with a more relaxed atmosphere. You can order off the main menu or courtyard menu. We mixed it up and ordered from both. The food was honestly out of this world! We tried so many of the appetizers and loved all of them!
