Diner Reviews
  • "Service was fantastic, from the greeting at the door, throughout the meal and as we departed. The appetizer was graciously divided onto two plates. Each food item was meticulously prepared and plated. It looked as appetizing as it tasted. Prices are a little above average but the service, food and ambiance make it worthy. We would visit again when in the area."

  • "If you want delicious food and a beautiful room with people wanting to make you happy in everyway go here. The wine was great and the food outstanding and the service was perfect, all in a home that has an amazing history! Don't miss it!"

  • "A MUST to see and eat at when in Savannah. Wish I had known about the "vault" dining prior to this as it would have been great to eat at this private area."

  • "Food and service were amazing. Great selection of wines to compliment a great menu with many options. Pricey, but definitely worth it! I would recommend making a reservation."

  • "I had heard the Olde Pink House was a must while visiting Savannah, I am so glad we were able to get reservations. The former home is beautiful with its crystal chandeliers and wooden floors. The tables are spaced far enough apart that you can hold private conversations. I can't say enough about how great the service and food were. I will definitely return here when I go back to Savannah!"

  • "The service was excellent and the food was really fantastic. The house is steeped in history and is aptly decorated to reflect this. If we visit Savannah again, this restaurant will be top of our list to visit again!"

  • "My boyfriend and I went to the Olde Pink House for my birthday and were blown away by the service and attention to detail!!! The food was insanely good and perfect serving sizes. You pay for quality and you get it two fold at this restaurant. The ambiance was nothing short of southern class and elevation, but still relaxed and pleasurable. My only feedback would be not to conduct tours for the later evening courses. We were seated in the 'office' and loved the decor; didn't love people coming in and out (sometimes unescorted by servers) of our dining room. Will definitely go back for this kind of experience. Let the hostess know about your objections to tours so they can accommodate you better. Service is on point!!!"

  • "Considering how extensive the menu is we were very surprised about the high quality of each dish. I had the Duck which was amazing."

  • "wonderful dining, good experience, must make reservations. Limited waiting area. Food is better than average, the historic ambience adds to the price"

  • "I read great reviews so our family of four gave it a try. Our waiter was super attentive and made our dining experience memorable. We were tickled at his signature line, "as you wish." The fried pork chop with gravy was outstanding! We also ordered the crab stuffed grouper, the chicken breast with bourbon sauce and the fried oyster Cesar salad which were all good. I would recommend this restaurant...it certainly was an experience."

  • "The service was top notched and the food was wonderful. I have been to Savannah multiple time and this was my first time hearing of the Olde Pink House and what a find. Seems everyone else’s in the city knew about this place except me. Great menu options with choices for the land lover or the seafood lover."

  • "Great good, service. We arrived early and had no problem getting seated the staff were all friendly and very attentative to everyone's need. There was a manager on duty her personally went to each table making sure that everything was fine even sharing stories about the town. We will definately be visiting The Pink House again."

  • "My husband and I travelled to savannah from Michigan to celebrate our 10th anniversary. We ate at many of the hotspots and the pink house was our least favorite. The interior is not as pictured as the walls and all trim have been painted light green and unappealing. We were sat in a tight corner next to a window but felt overwhelmed by the heavy drapes hanging into our chairs. They had an odd odor as well. Food was mediocre - salmon overcooked and potatoes cold. Whole fish flounder was good. Overly informative and attentive servers all around which we found to be too much. A waiter a few tables over with loud voice actually paced around the table he was serving looking to talk. Bothersome when looking for a romantic setting. Will not return"

  • "Fabulous southern restaurant in historic Governor's mansion! Unbelievably good service, the staff not only serves superb food and wine but they just can't wait to tell you the history of the building and encourage you to look around after your meal. A wonderful dining experience in old Savannah."

  • "Three of us ladies dined at The Pink House prior to the Paula Deen Live performance at the Lucas Theater. My sister was visiting from N.C. and we wanted to take her to a really "fine" place for dinner. The service, food, atmosphere, EVERYTHING was just A#1. She enjoyed the scallops and asked for substitutes for the sides -- they graciously offered alternatives. I had indicated she had a peanut allergy when I made the reservation on line. When the waiter, Josh, arrived at our table with water, he acknowledged the allergy and reassured us they would be sure her food was safe. I was impressed that they used the on-line information. The entire staff was so attentive, pleasant and courteous to one another as well as us."

  • "From the time we arrived until the time we left everything was top notch! 1st time diners here. Everyone we spoke really hyped the restaurant up and it lived up to the hype. The crispy flounder was amazing. Don't forget to check out Planters Tavern. A really great way to finish your dining experience at TOPH."

  • "This was my first visit to The Olde Pink House & Tavern. I absolutely enjoyed my meal. I ordered the flounder with a side of macaroni & cheese. I consider myself a mac & cheese expert & I must say yours was wonderful. Lets not forget about the Flounder. Cooked to perfection"

  • "The Olde Pink House is a beautiful building and the food is terrific, however, what sets it apart is the service. We mistakenly showed up a day early and they didn't skip a beat. They welcomed us and sat us immediately. Our waitress was extremely knowledgeable, sweet and attentive. The manager was always right there, filling water glasses, taking plates and talking to us as if we were guests in her own home. We go to Savannah every year and can not believe it took us so long to come here. We will definitely come back to The Olde Pink House next year!"

  • "The food was unique and tasty. Service was excellent. We ate in the main restaurant; there was a separate area downstairs with live music which we could hear from our table providing wonderful ambiance. I requested several appetizers instead of a main entree in order to try more dishes (which was accommodated to perfection with wonderful service) and all of them were excellent. All of the dishes were presented in a unique way and somewhat strange, but delicious. Although some of the other dishes were tastier, the one that stuck out the most was the southern sushi: shrimp and grits done as sushi. It simultaneously confused and delighted my taste buds - a strange but exciting and fun feeling."

  • "The food was very good. We were in a small room with 5 tables, only lit by candlelight. Very romantic. After dinner the waitress brought us a plate with "Best Wishes" in chocolate with strawberries and whipped cream. We had reservations which made a world of difference."

  • "The food and service greatly exceeded our expectations. If I'm ever in savannah again, I will return to the Pink House."

  • "My husband and I loved the BLT salad!! I had the almond crusted tilapia which was great but my husband had the fried pork chop and it was just okay."

  • "Came at lunch time and were seated immediately. Our server Melody was outstanding, and since we weren't very hungry (having eaten our way through Savannah the previous day), she recommended that my wife and I split a couple of small plates. So we ended up sharing the fried green tomato salad and their specialty nachos ... turned out to be perfect for two people with temporary small appetites."

  • "We were happy to have had the opportunity to go to The Olde Pink House. It is an interesting period home and surprisingly houses a significant number of guests. Although touristy, does not mean automatically it's a no go... you should be prepared: it is very congested when wanting to be seated, the wait can be a 1/2 hour with reservations, the staff are running between the many tables they serve and so the reality is the experience is more like a meal at a wedding than a small intimate evening out. We had blackened oysters, she-crab soup, chicken pot pie and pork shank. The oysters and pork were both very good. We would not return, but that is because we have been once and there are so many other options for great food in Savannah."

  • "We were visiting Savannah on vacation. My son had the deep fried pork chop. It was tender and tasty. I had the BLT fried green tomato salad with a side of shrimp and cheddar grits. Everything was too salty. That said, the ambiance was wonderful and the air of the Old South was rich. Glad we went."

  • "Service great. Steak cold and tough. Other food fine. Cut of steak was the probable culprit, although it was the only food thAt should have been hot, but was cold."

  • "Genuinely the nicest meal I've ever had. The service was incredible- someone waits outside to open the door for you, the entire staff was engaged, polite, and friendly. Southern hospitality is exemplified by every single person we spoke to at this place! Each room sits a few tables and we came for lunch on a weekday so we only sat near one other couple- no noise problem at all. They let you look around the house and it is truly worth an extra fifteen minutes. AND THE FOOD. I have dreamt about those macaroni and cheese jalepeno poppers. We enjoyed our strawberry arugula salad, which our waitress recommended splitting (good call- we had eaten plenty by the time we left!). The shrimp and grits were a novelty to my girlfriend whose brazilian."

  • "Recently visited Savannah and was told this was the place to go. We made reservations for four people, we arrived on time to an extremely crowded front entryway that maybe holds six people without getting in everyone's way. Our table was in the corner, one side of the table was a couch to sit on that was at least a foot lower than the chairs for the rest of the table. It took 15 minutes to get our drinks. Unfortunately there was an obnoxious group of 8 people from New York at the table next to us that completely ruined our experience. Once we finally got our food we were all disappointed in what we had ordered, and wished that we would have gone someplace else for a nice dinner."

  • "We have to go to the Pink House whenever we are in the savannah area. Great southern cooking and their fried green tomatoes are the best."

  • "Highly recommended! We were in Savannah on a business trip and accidently bumped into the Olde Pink House and decided to give it a try. It was fantastic all they way around. We would go back again and would highly recommend this restaurant! Great place with lots of rooms. You must go down stairs to the bar for a drink! Its like stepping back in time to an old time tavern."

  • "Place is supposed to be epitome of southern coast cooking, but did not seem extraordinary, and food similar to most of more touristy places in town, yet much more pricey. Seafood very fresh and cooked well, just did not compare with best food I have had in Charleston or New Orleans. Service very friendly and efficient. pace less than leisurely."
