The Olde Pink House RestaurantSavannah must doOur dining experience at The Olde Pink House Restaurant was superb. The ambiance was unique, the food incredible and the service was unparalleled. We were only in Savannah for one night and were glad that we were able to experience a part of this city's rich history. We will be back and we will recommend it highly to our friends.5/21/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat food........dining experienceGreat food........dining experience not meant to be "fast"...be prepared to stay for a while.5/20/2013 12:00:00 AMCelebrated our 40th anniversaryAfter checking reviews on TripAdvisor we decided to go to the Old Pink House to celebrate our 40th anniversary.. Our B & B owners tried to suggest we go somewhere else but after driving by and seeing the Old Pink House we decided this was where we wanted to eat. I'm glad we did. The food was fantastic. Everything was cooked perfectly. I had the pork tenderlion and my husband had the shrimp and grits. Our waiter, I think his name was Brian, was very attentive. It was nice to go to a restaurant that dressy casual was the norm. If we ever return to Savannah we will certainly return to the Old Pink House.5/19/2013 12:00:00 AMExquisite! This is THE friendly fine dining restaurant in Savannah! Extremely knowledgeable and friendly waitstaff, fantastic and unique food offerings, and old world charm that's out of this world! It's worth it to have the full experience, get an appetizer, soup or salad, and a bottle of wine. The dessert is good too! Just know that it costs quite a bit to eat here. once you have the whole meal, all put together it should be around $75 per person. I came with a friend once and we got out for about 50 each but we did not have appetizer or a bottle of wine, just a cocktail and the meal. I'll tell you what, this place is worth it and they don't cut corners. For example, my to go box is so nice that I will be using it as Tupperware.5/19/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat experience.Excellent service and food. A must see while in Savannah.5/19/2013 12:00:00 AMTerrificThe Olde Pink House was such a wonderful restaurant. The best service ever. Couldn't have been better.5/19/2013 12:00:00 AMImpressedFried Green Tomato and The Shrimp and Grits were Amazing. Awesome Collards and Mac and Cheese. The Shrimp and Scallop Alfredo was just OK nothing Special. Overall a wonderful experience5/19/2013 12:00:00 AMEverything was really goodEverything was really good except for the dessert. We ordered the chocolate pecan pie and I think the one I make is better. My pan seared salmon was delicious. And the fried green tomato appetizer was out of this world.5/19/2013 12:00:00 AMThe biscuits and cornbreadThe biscuits and cornbread muffins were great. The food was good and the service was attentive.5/19/2013 12:00:00 AMTop Notch in every waySince we were going to Savannah for my birthday, my cousin recommended the Pink House. We made an open table reservation requesting a nice table for a special birthday. We were given a lovely table next to the window overlooking the beautiful square. The food was excellent and so was the service. We never felt rushed at any time. A must do when you are in Savannah.5/18/2013 12:00:00 AMFood was great, waiter wasFood was great, waiter was great service was great. Place is beautiful. the only thing they asked us if any special occasion when we booked it. I told them yes our 30th anniv. I thought they would give us a drink for free or a desert or even have the lady that sings there a special song for us, but nothing. Why would you ask if you didnt do anything special. OH well. But it is a great place and would recommend it.5/18/2013 12:00:00 AM5 starWe wanted to savor each and every bite. Trip to Savannah from Utah was specifically to eat at pink house.5/18/2013 12:00:00 AMEvening in historic Savannah! We had made reservations and we were seated on time without wait. Our server was funny, courteous and very attentive. The atmosphere was everything we had heard about and more. The staff are very proud of the history of the house and were happy to share stories. The food was amazing, served at appropriate temperature and timing. What was also impressive was that they took in a wedding party from another venue without missing a beat! The other restaurant had their sprinkler system to go haywire closing the place down on a wedding party! The Olde Pink House made room for them in their upstairs room no problem. This was also prom night so they were very busy. This restuarant will be on the definite 'to do' list when I return to Savannah!5/18/2013 12:00:00 AMTerrific history- a little too busyThis classic restaurant in historic Savannah is a must- We much prefer the downstairs Tavern, but it was too dark for my parents this time- service was ok, food was very good, but got the distinct feeling of being rushed through dinner so they could free up the table for their waiting tourist crowd. It is still a must-go, for the cool atmosphere and history.5/18/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent foodWould consider this one of my all time favorite restaurants. Excellent food. Must have a Pink Lady (raspberry vodka and pink lemonade) along with the fried green tomatoes to start.5/17/2013 12:00:00 AMPleasant EveningThis was my second opportunity to visit. This time I was fortunate to have my family with me. Everyone was pleased with the total experience. The food was expertly prepared and presented. We especially appreciated being able to customize the side dishes to any entree. Superior service! Thank you for understanding and implementing the componants that make for a graceful and pleasant evening!5/17/2013 12:00:00 AMAl's reviewFood was very good, the room was small and loud, the bar drinks were watered down by the ice.5/17/2013 12:00:00 AMDelicious food in a lovely setting. The Olde Pink House has been a highlight to our trip to Savannah. The setting immersed us in history and set the scene for the amazing food to come. We asked to be seated in a quiet, private area when we made our reservations and sat in one of the original rooms of the home to the right of the entrance near the fireplace. We enjoyed each course and the service and staff were attentive and well educated on their menu and wine list. I am Gluten Free and the chef and our server were able to accommodate my allergy and even "tweaked" an appetizer for us so we could still enjoy it.
I would and will recommend the Olde Pink House to anyone heading to Savannah.5/17/2013 12:00:00 AMRomantic DnnerThe food was excellent! Everything we ordered was cooked perfectly! The service was also excellent.5/17/2013 12:00:00 AMFirst time visitLoved everything about our experience eating here! Our server was very acknowledgeable about the foods as far as how they were prepared up to some options that weren't listed on the menu to help us decide what to eat. He also knew his historical information about the house and gave us some fun stories and suggested a YouTube video about the ghosts that live there. A great experience and would definitely recommend this place to anyone and can't wait to go back and hopefully try out the basement/tavern area.5/17/2013 12:00:00 AMOlde ReliableWhile it may not win awards for incredible food, it has always been well prepared and very enjoyable cuisine. Service is attentive and friendly and it has a variety of places to eat , from a traiditional indoor area, to a sidewalk café feel to a basement bar and food area. Very enjoyable. Expensive but not crazily so.5/16/2013 12:00:00 AMThere were 6 of us and weThere were 6 of us and we all had a fantastic experience!5/16/2013 12:00:00 AMEnjoyable ExperienceOur first visit .... Expected a lot due to comments from friends who had been.
The whole experience lived up to our expectations.
The food was great and ALL the staff we encountered were very helpful, particularly so when assisting my wife who was struggling with a broken foot.
We will certainly visit again.5/15/2013 12:00:00 AMHistoric RomanceMy husband and I celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary with a lovely, romantic meal at the Olde Pink House. Our meals were delicious and beautifully presented. We enjoyed exploring the house after our meal as well. A visit to Savannah would not be complete without an evening at the Olde Pink House.5/15/2013 12:00:00 AMThis was our second visit,This was our second visit, food is always very good. Great service.5/15/2013 12:00:00 AMSeemed like a true institutionWe enjoyed a nice evening at the Olde Pink House. We had fresh salads along with the flounder/crab, pecan chicken breast, collard greens and sweet potatoes. For dessert we had the sorbet. While we were there, a talented singer stopped by two adjacent tables to sing anniversary and birthday greetings. Lot's of fun.
Staff was everywhere, promptly meeting all needs.
Our table had a view out into the square. Next time I would make time to go downstairs to enjoy another drink and hear the music performed in the basement bar.5/15/2013 12:00:00 AMLovelyA charming setting, with a wonderful wait staff. The meal was well presented and very good. There was nothing to fault and everything to praise.5/14/2013 12:00:00 AMMenue had good variety, andMenue had good variety, and had a distinctive southern touch. Food tasted fresh and carefully made. The bar downstairs has a good atmosphere of cozy southern flair.5/14/2013 12:00:00 AMOld Pink HouseWe made a reservation but were ready to eat about 45 minutes early. They seated us immediately. Great food, attentive staff. I found the chair in the room we were seated in to be very uncomfortable for me. I asked if they could find a different chair for me and the immmediately accommodated us by moving us to a different room with seat that were more comfortable for me. Wonderful meal, wonderful experience. We were seated in the library.5/14/2013 12:00:00 AMDelicious and AtmosphericOlde Pink House is a historical building and brings a cozy atmosphere in each dining room. The food was presented in a beautiful manner and was delicious! We've been there 3 times over the last couple of years; every time we have had excellent service and food.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMA great dining experienceThe service was excellent, from the greeter to the waiter to the Maitre' D. The pecan crusted chicken and crab stuffed flounder were outstanding, and included the best collared greens I've tasted. The BLT salad was featured on a recent Food Network show, and deserves to be. Finally, the praline basket is an excellent dessert. We did not order from the wine and cocktail list, though it had a good variety of offerings. The portion sizes were just right, and the pace of service allowed us to enjoy our meal without feeling rushed or neglected. This was one of the best dining experiences I have ever enjoyed.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMOne of Savannah's BestWe were in Savannah for the weekend and I'd heard a lot of great things about this place. I was very impressed. The service was excellent and the manager's were very attentive (we had some some small issues (wobbly table, overcooked salmon) that they went out of their way to fix). We left thinking very highly of the place, and would definitely return.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMNot as goodDined here recently, for the third time in 2 years and must say it was not a good as the two prior times. Ambiance and service are still wonderful, but it has become much pricier, almost too pricey, and with many items shown on the menu no longer available. I was disappointed that the signature flounder dish was one of those items temporarily unvailable due to "fish migration" and yet in prior years when I had dined during the same month there was plenty. Furthermore, the prices for many of the so-so dishes are extremely inflated. It no longer lives up to my expectations and can't say that I will return on my next visit to Savannah.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMThe service was excellentThe service was excellent and the food was amazing. The four of us could talk and actually hear each other. We will definitely go back when we are in Savannah.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent restaurantWe always love the Pink House and refer people there all the time.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMThe service was excellent,The service was excellent, couldn't do enough for you, they bend over backwards to make your dining experience a good one.The food is delicious and would go back again.
I recommend it.....5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMSavannah delightWe spent a long weekend in Savannah and had eaten at many good neighborhood diners. This restaurant was quaint, the latmosphere was historic and the food was excellent. Our wait person was very friendly, she was there if we needed her but not overbearing. It was quiet even though the restaurant was busy and full. The food was excellent and the portions were plenty enough to leave more than satisfied.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMood menu- good food and goodood menu- good food and good service. Enjoyed the experience.5/10/2013 12:00:00 AMWonderful EveningThis was our last evening of our vacation in Savannah, and we chose to make a reservation at the Olde Pink House restaurant. This was our first time to visit, but all of the locals we spoke with recommended it. We were not disappointed. Our table for two was along the wall near a window - giving the evening a more romantic touch. My wife loved the atmosphere of the restaurant, and we both loved the food. Highly recommended dining location for anyone visiting Savannah.5/10/2013 12:00:00 AMMust visit in savannahWhat a delightful end to our savannah visit. House is beautiful. We felt welcome as soon as we entered the door. Outstanding service and exceptional food with good presentation. Fried calamari was great and the scallops were outstanding. Our waitress, Tiffany, was attentive and knowledgeable on the food and wine selections. Definitely would recommend the pink house.5/10/2013 12:00:00 AMAbsolutely breath takingThe olde pink house was a gorgeous candle lit dinner. The atmosphere provided a great opportunity to talk and enjoy each others company. The food was absolutely delicious and just the right amount. I strongly suggest this place to anyone looking for a night out on the town to dress up and eat or for a romantic evening dinner.5/10/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat food and great serviceThoroughly enjoyed our meal on May 10. My husband ( very hard to please ) had the steak and I had scallops.
After we put our order in we decided we wanted different sides. We ended up with our original order plus the different sides at no extra cost. Portions were very generous. The service was outstanding. The atmosphere compliments the historic area of Savannah and adds to the overall old Georgia experience.5/10/2013 12:00:00 AMOld classic.Fun for the overall experience but food wasn't unbelievable. It was very good however. The real draw is the wonderful old house, checking out all the different rooms and the outstanding service. Pass on the collard greens they were so salty my mouth burned! Eating in the bar looked fun and there's a romantic table for two in the vault downstairs.5/10/2013 12:00:00 AMWithout ReservationsWe arrived in Savannah earlier than planned & with no reservations. Pink house was booked solid due to Mother's Day weekend (or any weekend I suppose). Friend gave us a tip: go to the Tavern, have a drink @ the bar & voila a table in the tavern may be had shortly. Less formal, casual dress, darker atmosphere, same wonderful food; same menu, same prices.
Best soft shell crabs ever! Alas, went back to indulge in them again two nights later & there were none to be had anywhere. Season is over.
Jeremy was our wonderful server..thanks for all your help & good advice, Jeremy,5/10/2013 12:00:00 AMSavannah's GemOlde Pink House has good food- all the southern favorites. The reason you can't skip this restaurant is the setting. The house is steeped in history and just gorgeous. We even got a history lesson at our table. Check out the ballroom upstairs and the speak-easy lounge in the basement.5/9/2013 12:00:00 AMPride of SavannahAWESOME dinner at the Olde Pink House! The Soft Shell Crab and crab cakes were EXCELLENT! Superb wait staff offered enticing entree descriptions and suggestions. FABULOUS wine! Sidria added a refreshing touch with her beautiful voice. Spent time in the downstairs JAZZ bar and totally enjoyed Diana Rogers on the piano! Will DEFINITELY return again and recommend the Olde Pink House to others!5/9/2013 12:00:00 AMExpections MetAwsome! service- Waiter was excellent, Table was perfect view; Food was Excellent. We will definitely return; Must have some of the other choices; Especially the Flounder which they did not have when we were there ( it was my choice before we arrived).5/9/2013 12:00:00 AMPerfect for a fine nightWhat a special anniversary dinner! Being the lovers of food that we are, our server could not have been better matched for us. His expertise and recommendations of the menu items were most helpful and made our dinner all the better!5/9/2013 12:00:00 AMWonderfulEverything was just fantastic! Soft-Shell appetizer was to die for!5/9/2013 12:00:00 AMTrue southern hospitalit! All the fox was amazing! I had shrimp and grits and fried green tomatoes and they both were heavily. The ham in the grits gave it a little extra something special. But the real treat was our waitress Holly and maitre d Samantha. I had thrown my back out and they were so sweet bringing me ice and making sure I was comfortable. It was a great experience that I definitely recommend.5/9/2013 12:00:00 AM
