The Olde Pink House RestaurantGourmet southern charmThis place is a must try! It is delicious. Good luck choosing a menu item, I wanted to order it all!6/15/2013 12:00:00 AMHistoric gem!We recently visited Savannah for our wedding anniversary and the highlight was our evening at the Old Pink House. We arrived early in order to enjoy a martini in the side bar before dinner. The staff was very engaging and we had a fun time there speaking with the two young men behind the bar. Then we were off to dinner on the second floor. We found that each room of the restaurant has its own matre'd. Our level of service was wonderful as was the food preparation.
We wrapped up the evening downstairs in the tavern with an after dinner drink while listening to live music on the piano and upright bass. It was an anniversary we will long remember.6/15/2013 12:00:00 AMLovelyThe food was amazing and the house is so pretty. Definitely enjoyed the ambiance of the Ball Room. Our server was so sweet and very helpful when choosing dishes and knowing the area. Live entertainment was a singer that sang requests. She was very good!! Overall it was a lovely experience.6/14/2013 12:00:00 AMWowWhile visiting Savanna for the day we decided to do a nice dinner and this was the place it was beautiful inside with a lot of history and the food was truly outstanding! There's no shortage of fabulous food in Savannah but the atmosphere and the service here made the evening and the dinner special.6/14/2013 12:00:00 AMoutstanding not high enoughOur experience was fantastic, food, service, ambience. loved the scored flounder and the fried green tomatoes and can't forget the shrimp and grits.6/14/2013 12:00:00 AMPink House RevierwThis time we were seated in their banquet room on the top floor. Ambience was wonderful.6/14/2013 12:00:00 AMLovely, historic restaurantWe loved the atmosphere! The food was very good (one member of our party said that the Calamari was the best she'd ever tasted). Our server was attentive, but didn't hover - which we liked. Overall, it was a very good dining experience and we'd return to the Olde Pink House.6/13/2013 12:00:00 AMReally enjoyed our brunch.Really enjoyed our brunch. Everyone was friendly and very informative. Food was excellent, different, and very prompt. Service was exceptional. When wewo dered we were given a lot of history. Gave us a few ideas for the area, which was very helpful. Food was very nice. I was there last yr. & obviously wanted to go back. Love the house & the history6/12/2013 12:00:00 AMFood even better than the setting!Would put the dinner I had here in the top 5 meals I've ever had.6/12/2013 12:00:00 AMSouthern Comfort for 2 New Yorkers.Put this gem on your must visit list when in Savannah. Try the fried lobster tails if you are looking for something new, or the fried porkchop if you are looking for something traditional. The service was wonderful and the keylime pie brought the evening to a delicious close. We will certainly be back.6/10/2013 12:00:00 AMWonderful DinnerThis was just an outstanding experience all around. Our server Meghan was wonderful and incredibly knowledgable about both the history of the Olde Pink House and all of the details of the menu. This place is a must when you are in Savannah.6/10/2013 12:00:00 AMWonderful Anniversary DinnerMy wife and I had our first evening meal during our Savannah 20th Wedding Anniversary Get Away trip at The Ole Pink House on June 10th. What a fantastic way to start off our vacation! We were given the perfect romantic table in the upstairs "office" dining room, overlooking the square. Our server was so lovely and friendly and helpful with the menu. This was a 10 out of 10 evening!!! The meals were wonderful, in the top five of any restaurant ever. Thank you for a great memory!6/10/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat atmosphere and serviceService was excellent and atmosphere was great! Little disappointed with our main meals but the martini's were delicious as was the dessert. I would recommend it for the overall experience.6/9/2013 12:00:00 AMAmazing!Everything was amazing, from the food to our service. Wonderful place in a wonderful city. The BLT Salad, Scored Flounder, and Praline Basket paired with wines and Madeira made for the ultimate experience. Compliments to the chef, our server (Curt), and the entire Pink House staff!6/8/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat ReboundGet your rev. in early...We were 20 minutes late on a 9:45pm dinner. Our first server ditched us. Thank God looked like he was having a bad day, felt bad or perhaps was on Americas Most Wanted list. . Although his other table was in the same room he keep giving us the Stink-eye.....However Gustavo took over and did a tremendous job a perfect gentleman suited to serving others......Libations perfect the Crabcakes delicate, Green tomato Smoked bacon salad with warm ranch dressing very good, Pork tenderloin with raspberry reduction very good, and the beef tenderloin/ veal borderlaise served MR to perfection. The twice baked potato needs some love...more like a duchess potato in a potato wrap.6/8/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat food. Great service!Enjoyed the fantastic food. The service was absolutely fabulous. If you go to Savannah, you should definitely eat here.6/7/2013 12:00:00 AMGoodFood was good, service was a little weird. Waitress not all that interested and really young. The building is one of the coolest settings in the city. Worth a try, bring a big wad of cash.6/7/2013 12:00:00 AMSpecial Anniversary DinnerThis was special anniversary celebration and we couldn't have picked a better location. The food selection is very extensive, the duck and the flounder were very good. The service was exceptional, we highly recomend this restaurant.6/7/2013 12:00:00 AMAnniversary Lunch - IncredibleGreat food, service and atmosphere! I highly recommend the Olde Pink House and look forward to returning.6/7/2013 12:00:00 AMRestaurant is well locatedRestaurant is well located with ample parking nearby in a wonderful converted old house which presents some challenges with seating (expected) and not an issue. Our waiter was professional & very knowledgeable of the menu. Another waiter brought someone else's appetizer to our table before we ordered and w/o even asking or getting that look in our eye that we were ready and waiting for our first course. The wine selection was nice and reasonably priced. The Apricot Flounder that was extremely well prepared, very yummy and well proportioned. Overall I would recommend, but if you are used to and expect NYC style professionalism with the entire staff you may be disappointed.6/7/2013 12:00:00 AMAwesome dinnerWe were only in Savannah for one night and the weather was horrible! We made reservations for the Old Pink House and when we walked on we were seated right away. The food was awesome- I had the salmon and it melted in your mouth. The other girls had the soft shell crab and pecan crusted chicken - all was wonderful. This was the only thing in Savannah that went as planned. Hopefully I will return and see everything else we wanted to see. I would highly recommend eating here.6/6/2013 12:00:00 AMA great place to dine....Our first time in Savannah on our on. We selected the OPH to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary....we were not disappointed. The combination of the location, setting, food and service was perfect for a our celebration. Even our server surprised us with a very nice Happy Anniversary "covered strawberries platter" and special candle...a very nice touch. We will definitely return the next time in Savannah.6/6/2013 12:00:00 AMGem in SavannahWe had the Old Pink House recommended to us by a friend, and the reviews were great so we made it a point to make a reservation one evening for some fine dining there. Every staff member went out of their way to make us feel as though we were the most important guests, from the gentleman outside greeting people-he offered to take several pictures of us when he saw me pull out my camera-to the wait staff-to the managers. Our waiter was extremely polite and personable. The food was amazing. We are still thinking about the praline fruit basket (not sure that's the real name). We had a wonderful evening, still thinking about it.6/5/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat experienceWe made reservations for 5pm, right when the restaurant opened for dinner. The waiter was awesome and even gave us a tour of the house. He was educated on the history of the house and knew even more about the menu offerings. We had a room to ourselves next to the fireplace for most of our dinner, until others with reservations began to arrive around 6pm. The food was great and so were the drinks. I had the pecan-crusted chicken, which was sweet and savory, the key lime pie was also just perfect. Great place- highly recommend. Definitely make a reservation.6/4/2013 12:00:00 AMDelicious meal! We recommendDelicious meal! We recommend the fried green tomatoes and the duck entree. The restaurant is in an historic house. There are many different rooms in the building. We were upstairs in the former master bedroom which was lovely. Diners are encouraged to walk about and view the different rooms. The maitre 'd stopped by several times to talk to us as well as the other diners.6/4/2013 12:00:00 AMVery Nice ExperienceWe chose the Olde Pink House to celebrate our 25th anniversary. We were greeted at the door by a very nice man who was nice enough to take a picture of us in front of the restaurant to commemorate the occasion. Even though we were early, we were seating immediately since the restaurant was not overcrowded. The place was very cozy and the food was excellent! Our waiter John however, was not personable at all and kind of dampened our overall experience.6/3/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat food and outstanding serviceWithout question one of the most outstanding restaurants. The Flounder was excellent. Our waiter Brian R was extremely knowledgable and made the dining experience enjoyable.6/3/2013 12:00:00 AMWill dream of the flounder! The meal was wonderful and was only surpassed by the impeccable service. Every request was answered with a resounding yes - even the request to split our entree which in some restaurants come with an extra plate charge was no problem.
The entire meal could not have been better! Will definitely recommend and will go back the next time we are in Savannah.6/3/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat Food and ServiceThis was my first visit to the Pink House and I was pleased. We had dinner with business guest and the service was excellent. All food came out in a timely manner and was excellent. Prices were very reasonable for the quality of food and atmosphere.6/3/2013 12:00:00 AMVery unique gemI took my family to The Olde Pink House for a graduation dinner. I was amazed at the size of the place - they have something like 11 dining rooms - each room is a room from and old original mansion that was expanded about 10 years ago but the new section matches the old exactly. Each room is unique and special. The bar downstairs is amazing and includes a special 'Wine Cellar Room' for two. You can reserve any room or any specific table - I did not know this and we were seated in a very large room. The noise level was much higher than I prefer due to the large number of tables in that room. I think the smaller rooms are much more intimate . The food was very good considering they served over 500 people the evening I was there.6/2/2013 12:00:00 AMAmazingThis place is a must go while in savannah. The atmosphere is just as wonderful as the food.6/2/2013 12:00:00 AMA must when you are in Savannah! Not only is the 300-year old Olde Pink House historic and fun to explore after dinner, the food is excellent. 5 Stars! Everyone on staff was friendly and helpful. I ordered the salad they call the "BLT", Fried Green Tomatoes & Sweet Bacon w/Black Pepper Thyme Buttermilk Dressing and their Signature Dish - Crispy Scored Flounder w/Apricot Shallot Sauce, Creamy Grits & Collards and they let me substitute the most wonderful sweet potatoes for the grits. The flounder was so light and flaky, it just melted in your mouth! People were dressed in all type of attire so don't miss the opportunity to dine here if you think you are under-dressed for the occasion. Enjoy!6/2/2013 12:00:00 AMAwesome SCAD Graduation dinner.....We had an awesome dinner to celebrate my daughter's graduation from college. Our server was excellent and she made us feel welcomed. Everyone from the Gentleman who showed us to our table to the waitress to the Management made us feel comfortable. The food was great!!6/1/2013 12:00:00 AMThe BestIf you have something special to celebrate book this restaurant!!6/1/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat food in historic settingThe Olde Pink House restaurant in Savannah had a charming, unique atmosphere in that all the tables were in different rooms of the old house and it was located on a scenic square in Savannah historic district. The food was absolutely delicious! The service was southern hospitality. I would go again and again if I lived there.5/31/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat experience! It was our 40th wedding anniversary and we decided to dine at the Olde Pink House. Everything was perfect. Candice, our server, made our experience lovely, even writing "Happy Anniversary" with chocolate on a plate and decorate it with whipped cream and strawberries--just out of this world. Food was unbelievably good. We loved everything! We will definitely come back when we are in town.5/31/2013 12:00:00 AMThe best Southern foodThis is an A+ place to eat. The low country she crab soup is delicious and the pecan crusted chicken breast spectacular, my husband ordered fried calamari and crispy scored flounder and he was never disappointed . The service is awesome, attentive.
We were seated beside the chimney, very romantic. I loved it.5/31/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat PlaceThe staff was professional, polite, and informative. The food is delicious and they have good variety. The house is charming and full of history. A great night out for any occassion.5/31/2013 12:00:00 AMCharming, great foodWe had lunch in between touring historic Savannah houses. Food was great and the menu had varied choices from lighter options to full course lunch selections. I particularly enjoyed the She Crab soup. Many dishes had a southern flair - the, crab cakes were exceptional and served with fried green tomatos. The service was excellent.5/30/2013 12:00:00 AMGreatFood, service and atmosphere were all excellent.
A singer came around and sang to a few tables. We were with a chatty group and we did not want her to sing to us. We felt uncomfortable about this. It also was difficult to have conversation while she sang to other tables because we thought it would be rude.5/30/2013 12:00:00 AMPerfectionAmbiance, timing, staff's professionalism and friendliness, and of course the food, from appetizers to dessert - everything was excellent.5/30/2013 12:00:00 AMFirst - if you want a drinkFirst - if you want a drink before - don't even think about the outdoor bar on the side of the building - go directly to the tavern in the basement. The tavern is much less crowded and it is airconditioned. The outdoor bar is load, hot and chaotic. The staff at this place if really good. It is extremely busy so it is surprising that they can produce food of this quality and the staff is extremely helpful and attentive. My wife and I spent four days in Savannah working our way through great restaurants and this was certainly one of the highlights. We even ended up with a table by a window in the front with a view of the square. The waitress heard us talking and found it our anniversary 2 days before and brought us free desert.5/30/2013 12:00:00 AMThe food was delicious andThe food was delicious and the service was 5 star.5/29/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat food.
