The Olde Pink House RestaurantThere were 6 of us and weThere were 6 of us and we all had a fantastic experience!5/16/2013 12:00:00 AMHistoric RomanceMy husband and I celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary with a lovely, romantic meal at the Olde Pink House. Our meals were delicious and beautifully presented. We enjoyed exploring the house after our meal as well. A visit to Savannah would not be complete without an evening at the Olde Pink House.5/15/2013 12:00:00 AMThis was our second visit,This was our second visit, food is always very good. Great service.5/15/2013 12:00:00 AMLovelyA charming setting, with a wonderful wait staff. The meal was well presented and very good. There was nothing to fault and everything to praise.5/14/2013 12:00:00 AMMenue had good variety, andMenue had good variety, and had a distinctive southern touch. Food tasted fresh and carefully made. The bar downstairs has a good atmosphere of cozy southern flair.5/14/2013 12:00:00 AMDelicious and AtmosphericOlde Pink House is a historical building and brings a cozy atmosphere in each dining room. The food was presented in a beautiful manner and was delicious! We've been there 3 times over the last couple of years; every time we have had excellent service and food.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMA great dining experienceThe service was excellent, from the greeter to the waiter to the Maitre' D. The pecan crusted chicken and crab stuffed flounder were outstanding, and included the best collared greens I've tasted. The BLT salad was featured on a recent Food Network show, and deserves to be. Finally, the praline basket is an excellent dessert. We did not order from the wine and cocktail list, though it had a good variety of offerings. The portion sizes were just right, and the pace of service allowed us to enjoy our meal without feeling rushed or neglected. This was one of the best dining experiences I have ever enjoyed.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMOne of Savannah's BestWe were in Savannah for the weekend and I'd heard a lot of great things about this place. I was very impressed. The service was excellent and the manager's were very attentive (we had some some small issues (wobbly table, overcooked salmon) that they went out of their way to fix). We left thinking very highly of the place, and would definitely return.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMNot as goodDined here recently, for the third time in 2 years and must say it was not a good as the two prior times. Ambiance and service are still wonderful, but it has become much pricier, almost too pricey, and with many items shown on the menu no longer available. I was disappointed that the signature flounder dish was one of those items temporarily unvailable due to "fish migration" and yet in prior years when I had dined during the same month there was plenty. Furthermore, the prices for many of the so-so dishes are extremely inflated. It no longer lives up to my expectations and can't say that I will return on my next visit to Savannah.5/12/2013 12:00:00 AMThe service was excellentThe service was excellent and the food was amazing. The four of us could talk and actually hear each other. We will definitely go back when we are in Savannah.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMExcellent restaurantWe always love the Pink House and refer people there all the time.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMThe service was excellent,The service was excellent, couldn't do enough for you, they bend over backwards to make your dining experience a good one.The food is delicious and would go back again.
I recommend it.....5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMSavannah delightWe spent a long weekend in Savannah and had eaten at many good neighborhood diners. This restaurant was quaint, the latmosphere was historic and the food was excellent. Our wait person was very friendly, she was there if we needed her but not overbearing. It was quiet even though the restaurant was busy and full. The food was excellent and the portions were plenty enough to leave more than satisfied.5/11/2013 12:00:00 AMood menu- good food and goodood menu- good food and good service. Enjoyed the experience.5/10/2013 12:00:00 AMWonderful EveningThis was our last evening of our vacation in Savannah, and we chose to make a reservation at the Olde Pink House restaurant. This was our first time to visit, but all of the locals we spoke with recommended it. We were not disappointed. Our table for two was along the wall near a window - giving the evening a more romantic touch. My wife loved the atmosphere of the restaurant, and we both loved the food. Highly recommended dining location for anyone visiting Savannah.5/10/2013 12:00:00 AMMust visit in savannahWhat a delightful end to our savannah visit. House is beautiful. We felt welcome as soon as we entered the door. Outstanding service and exceptional food with good presentation. Fried calamari was great and the scallops were outstanding. Our waitress, Tiffany, was attentive and knowledgeable on the food and wine selections. Definitely would recommend the pink house.5/10/2013 12:00:00 AMAbsolutely breath takingThe olde pink house was a gorgeous candle lit dinner. The atmosphere provided a great opportunity to talk and enjoy each others company. The food was absolutely delicious and just the right amount. I strongly suggest this place to anyone looking for a night out on the town to dress up and eat or for a romantic evening dinner.5/10/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat food and great serviceThoroughly enjoyed our meal on May 10. My husband ( very hard to please ) had the steak and I had scallops.
After we put our order in we decided we wanted different sides. We ended up with our original order plus the different sides at no extra cost. Portions were very generous. The service was outstanding. The atmosphere compliments the historic area of Savannah and adds to the overall old Georgia experience.5/10/2013 12:00:00 AMOld classic.Fun for the overall experience but food wasn't unbelievable. It was very good however. The real draw is the wonderful old house, checking out all the different rooms and the outstanding service. Pass on the collard greens they were so salty my mouth burned! Eating in the bar looked fun and there's a romantic table for two in the vault downstairs.5/10/2013 12:00:00 AMWithout ReservationsWe arrived in Savannah earlier than planned & with no reservations. Pink house was booked solid due to Mother's Day weekend (or any weekend I suppose). Friend gave us a tip: go to the Tavern, have a drink @ the bar & voila a table in the tavern may be had shortly. Less formal, casual dress, darker atmosphere, same wonderful food; same menu, same prices.
Best soft shell crabs ever! Alas, went back to indulge in them again two nights later & there were none to be had anywhere. Season is over.
Jeremy was our wonderful server..thanks for all your help & good advice, Jeremy,5/10/2013 12:00:00 AMSavannah's GemOlde Pink House has good food- all the southern favorites. The reason you can't skip this restaurant is the setting. The house is steeped in history and just gorgeous. We even got a history lesson at our table. Check out the ballroom upstairs and the speak-easy lounge in the basement.5/9/2013 12:00:00 AMPride of SavannahAWESOME dinner at the Olde Pink House! The Soft Shell Crab and crab cakes were EXCELLENT! Superb wait staff offered enticing entree descriptions and suggestions. FABULOUS wine! Sidria added a refreshing touch with her beautiful voice. Spent time in the downstairs JAZZ bar and totally enjoyed Diana Rogers on the piano! Will DEFINITELY return again and recommend the Olde Pink House to others!5/9/2013 12:00:00 AMExpections MetAwsome! service- Waiter was excellent, Table was perfect view; Food was Excellent. We will definitely return; Must have some of the other choices; Especially the Flounder which they did not have when we were there ( it was my choice before we arrived).5/9/2013 12:00:00 AMPerfect for a fine nightWhat a special anniversary dinner! Being the lovers of food that we are, our server could not have been better matched for us. His expertise and recommendations of the menu items were most helpful and made our dinner all the better!5/9/2013 12:00:00 AMWonderfulEverything was just fantastic! Soft-Shell appetizer was to die for!5/9/2013 12:00:00 AMTrue southern hospitalit! All the fox was amazing! I had shrimp and grits and fried green tomatoes and they both were heavily. The ham in the grits gave it a little extra something special. But the real treat was our waitress Holly and maitre d Samantha. I had thrown my back out and they were so sweet bringing me ice and making sure I was comfortable. It was a great experience that I definitely recommend.5/9/2013 12:00:00 AMTrue Southern Charm.....This was our fist time to the Pink House in the 11 years we have been visiting family in Savannah. I requested a quiet table in the corner for a special occasion, and that is what we got. The food was wonderful, and service was very attentive. There were 4 people in our party & all of us were happy with dinner and dessert. A very pleasant experience!5/9/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat space with friendlyGreat space with friendly staff. Food was good but not great. Pork loin was excellent but the duck was overcooked and the sauce
was uninspired. Gazpacho and She Crab soup were quite good. Our server was excellent.5/8/2013 12:00:00 AMMemorable ExperienceI heard that this restaurant was a "don't miss" but I thought it would be typically touristy. It was not! It was a dining delight. Everything about this restaurant made me feel happy and special. Our waiter Brian in the green room was a true delight!
Everything he recommended and the professional manner in which we were treated was truly to notch. I am from NY and know good food and The Old Pink House" is right up there with the best!5/8/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat experienceMy wife and I have lived all over the country, and this place provided a fantastic atmosphere, excellent food, and a reasonable price considering. We have been to other places int he southeast with equivalent food and poorer atmosphere that charged more. Highly, highly recommend checking out the pub in the basement. Between the primarily candle lighting and the live piano music, you really feel that you have stepped back to revolutionary colonial America.5/8/2013 12:00:00 AMgreat night outgreat food. server was excellent. must hit tavern downstairs after dinner-piano bar was awesome!5/7/2013 12:00:00 AMMrCelebration of wifes birthday. Food was fantastic and staff was courteous and attentative.5/7/2013 12:00:00 AMA southern fine dining gem! From the ambience of the lovely, historical home to the attentiveness of each employee - this restaurant gets a 5 star from me! Customer Service is obviously emphasized as much as food quality. The only negative of the night was they did not have one of their most popular menu items - flounder, which we had planned to order. The grouper was wonderful. There is a "hostess" (not sure of her title) who walks around to talk with each table and will give the history of the building as well as a beautiful singer who will privately serenade with songs of your choice. Wonderful experience!5/6/2013 12:00:00 AMFantastic Experience - Take a Tour!We knew we wanted to eat here & made reservations about a week before to ensure we'd get to when we visited Savannah for the first time. This place was recommended to us by numerous friends who had visited & we weren't dissatisfied!!
Our server, Shannon was super! She gave us great suggestions & was honest when we ordered a drink that my husband probably wouldn't have liked. Also, one of the other servers did a great job of helping me to find a red "unoaked" wine. Our food was fantastic, we ordered an appetizer, fried green tomato salad & then the Habersham Platter! Praline dessert was amazing!
Shannon took the time at the end of our dining experience to give us a personal tour. Definitely visit the bar in the basement before or after!5/6/2013 12:00:00 AMClassy setting in historicClassy setting in historic area with very good food. Extremely friendly staff who made great recommendations and encouraged us to explore the whole house, which was beautiful throughout. They even personalized the dessert plate with a birthday greeting. Would definitely return and try many different things.5/5/2013 12:00:00 AMMagically quietBy using the many rooms in this historic mansion, the restaurant manages to create areas where there is a quiet atmosphere to enjoy the excellent food. One of the best uses of a historic property that we have seen. Until you explore the other rooms, you have no idea how large the restaurant is. The food was imaginative and the service excellent.5/5/2013 12:00:00 AMClassic elegance with great serviceI just moved to Savannah and have been waiting for a special occasion for my first visit to the ever famed Pink House. I had something special to celebrate and great company in town & visited the Pink House Sunday evening. The hostess was welcoming and our table beautifully appointed. The appetizers we shared, the corn muffins and biscuits - our entrees...all of it was as promised-completely delicious!
Our server, Britt provided exceptional service and thoughtful suggestions. Be sure to ask to sit with her.5/5/2013 12:00:00 AMA Savannah MustFirst time visiting Savannah for my wife and I. Saw all the great reviews and booked a reservation. Couldn't have been happier, even with our high expectations. The house itself was cool and unique and set the tone for our evening. Great drinks, and my wife loved the wine selection. I had the braised pork shank while my wife had the fried pork chop. Both were outstanding along with the great mac n' cheese and collard greens which i now love. Just mentioned in passing to the host that it was my wife's birthday that day and when we ordered dessert, they had personalized it with a happy birthday on the plate. Nice little touch that made the night complete. Service was great. Would highly recommend.5/5/2013 12:00:00 AMGreat food.We had a wonderful lunch. Followed the waiter's recommendations, and was not dissapointed. I recommend anyone visiting Savannah to treat themselves to this wonderful restaurant. It is a bit pricier than other restaurants, but worth every penny. I will sure return next time in town.5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMWe come to The Olde Pink HouseWe come to The Olde Pink House every year on our trip to Savannah and it never disppoints! They were out of the Flounder - But there still are so many good choices5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMfantastic nightWe went to eat at the Olde Pink House on our last night in Savannah after hearing a lot about it. It did not disappoint. We had a fantastic meal and excellent service. The ambience was wonderful (very romantic). I can't wait to go back again!5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMMy wife and I have been diningMy wife and I have been dining here for years. Olde Pink House never disappoints.5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMBLT salad and shrimp/ crab/BLT salad and shrimp/ crab/ sausage spring rolls were excellent. Steak and pork tenderloin were slightly over-salted for our tastes, but still very good. My favorite is the flounder dish, but they were not serving it the night we dined. Outstanding service in a beautiful historic location.5/4/2013 12:00:00 AMThe food was delicious andThe food was delicious and the ambiance was wonderful.5/3/2013 12:00:00 AMSavannah CharmThe setting is an old house with a great deal of history, so the house alone is something to see. We were seated in the upstairs bedroom at a corner table which was very romantic. The servers were very friendly and attentive and even the manager came by our table a few times to check on us. The bread basket included fresh corn muffins, biscuits and a roll, served with soft butter which set our expectations for a good meal. We had the She Crab soup, fried green tomatoes, fried lobster and stuffed grouper. We were not disappointed and would definitely go back, given the opportunity.5/3/2013 12:00:00 AMAmazing experience in Savannah! This was a romantic, lovely, scenic restaurant. The food amazing and our server offered delicious options, including the wine!5/3/2013 12:00:00 AMThe gem of SavannahThe best dining experience I've had in a very long time. From the moment we walked in the door everything was outstanding. I will highly recommend this restaurant to anyone I know traveling to Savannah!5/3/2013 12:00:00 AMSavannah's Olde Pink HouseLoved the Olde Pink House. The food was delicious, the pecan pie with vanilla bean ice cream and chocolate caramel was the best pecan pie I have ever tasted. The entertainer had a beautiful voice and served up some great tunes. The service extremely good, our server Paul ,did his best to keep up with our many mouthwatering choices and the noise level, well, it wasn't quiet, but it was fine. We left feeling full, fabulous and there wasn't a ghost to be found. Mr. Haberdash, the late resident of the house, was quite undisturbed by our presence. My husband did feel something just above his head, but he is pretty sure it was just the wind, or was it ?5/3/2013 12:00:00 AM3/4 dishes received rave reviews.3/4 dishes received rave reviews. The chicken dish was a bit bland and a little on the small size. They were out of the feature fish dish which was disappointing .
Service was extremely pleasant and well paced. Ambiance was lovely. No wait time upon entering with our reservation.
Seafood dishes were considered wonderful.
Would happily return.5/2/2013 12:00:00 AMAll around fabulous experience! We were in Savannah on vacation, girls week. We went to the Pink House one evening for drinks. We caught the very end of the music that evening. One of the waiters gave us a tour of the whole house which is fantastic. We decided to go back a few days later for dinner. We asked to be seated in the tavern part so we could hear the music. We had a fantastic waiter that was very attentive. One of the other girls was not happy with the way her steak was cooked and they immediately took it away and returned it perfect. The women that played the piano that evening was very interesting and very good. All in all we had a wonderful time, but bare in mind very expensive.5/2/2013 12:00:00 AM
