Sat outside on a lovely summer
night and had the stuffed squash blossoms - delicious! The pork chop milanese with arugula and tomotoes was perfectly cooked and terrific."

The waitress was new and didn't
know the answers to our questions so she brought over a seasoned waiter to help take our order. That was nice so as to avoid confusion. I did ask for a coffee and they forgot it and brought the two tables next to us cappuccinos (which I would think take longer to make); and those tables were seated well after we sat down. Besides this snafu, the service was generally good and the food was tasty. They do charge $13 for basically just greens with some goat cheese on top - so a bit excessive price for not much. The outdoor dining experience was pleasant and we had a nice time. We stayed well beyond paying our check to celebrate our mom's bday and give her gifts, and no one pressured us to leave. Nice time. :)"

Always a pleasure to revisit the
Odean. Have relied on it over the years."

Good service, decent menu with a
variety of choices, but coffee needs HELP, tasted like bad diner coffee. The foods was good and our server was attentive and helpful with our three kids. Thanks."

The Odeon is a comfortable, classy
French/American bistro favorite of TriBeCa's creative community... A restaurant with a celebrity pedigree and fabled history, it's a great place to avoid tourists, enjoy awesome service, and have a deliciously memorable meal."
Dined on 6/24/2014
Odeon is a Tribeca gem and our
favorite place to dine 1-2x week. Casual cool atmosphere, great food, eclectic crowd, always busy, amazing and friendly service, kid friendly. Great for drinks at the bar, brunch, lunch and dinner. And the ice cream cart outside is a must!"
Dined on 6/24/2014
The Odeon was our restaurant of
choice for Father's Day. The food was great; the service was friendly and attentive. Highly recommend for a night out with family and friends."
Dined on 6/15/2014
Great place. We've been going for
ever. True NYC icon. Consistently good and happening"
Dined on 6/15/2014
Our waitress Allison was horrible.
She had a bad attitude and was not very attentive to our needs. She went from hot to cold and was indifferent to our requests. I would not go back to Odeon based on her service."
Dined on 6/14/2014
Delicious food. Wait staff very
efficient and pleasant."

So I forgot what I ordered the
last time I went, and debated amongt a few items until I finally landed on this delicious sounding daily special- an aged strip steak with Caesar salad. As soon as the plate came out, I recognized it and realized it's what I had previously as well! Almost as good this time, slightly less juicy, but probably because I asked for it to be cooked medium-well. Either way, very tasty. And the dessert! 🙊 The spearmint chip ice cream: the freshest version of exactly that. The warm custard brioche pudding is NOT a bread pudding. (Oops?) It ended up being way lighter & tastier! Like the gods were watching over me ;) 2 custardy smooth but brûléed slices of what tasted like brioche French toast. Worth trying 4 sure!"

Always consistently delicious and
an easy menu that accommodates everyone. Service consistently friendly and amazing. Kid friendly. Our neighborhood favorite....with and without our kids."
Dined on 6/12/2014
Though the food was very tasty,
and the service attentive, the portions were so so small we had to order side dishes to a minuscule scallops entrée and the prices so so high, $8 for a side of bacon, really????! Sorry but we wont be back."

Odeon is a true NYC icon....for
30+ years. Our favorite Tribeca/neighborhood gem. Also the very first restaurant i ate at on my first trip to NYC 25+ yrs ago. Great food/menu (something for everyone ....and the burger/fries amazing!), AMAZING service/super friendly staff (where people actually remember you-ha), kid friendly and great to meet friends for drinks/late dinner....brunch/lunch. Casual and lovely....easy breezy. We dine here 2x + /week....so we must love it! Ha"

Great Tribeca neighborhood
ambiance and good service, but our food was only fair. Meat was overcooked and potato salad full of mayonaise."
Dined on 6/6/2014
Great food, really good atmosphere
and service, very interesting menu!"
Dined on 5/25/2014
Our go-to neighborhood restaurant.
We shared the dumplings: on the gummy side. Main courses: trout and mussels, both satisfying. The evening's specials, always printed with prices, were meager; specials and regular menu choices are rather limited, especially if you eat here frequently. The highlight this evening was the service, generally good but exceptional this evening. "

Odeon is our neighborhood
favorite! A true NYC gem. Great for adults. Great for kids. Service beyond amazing. Food and ambience great! People incredibly friendly and accommodating. We dine there 1-2x week. "

NYC Classic. American food with a
French twist. Best Martini I have ever tasted. "
Dined on 5/18/2014
Odeon is my dream neighborhood
restaurant. No matter the time of day, it is the "go to" spot. We like it best as the night wears on, although some dishes aren't available after 11pm. Quality, sophistication, ambience, are all top-notch. I only wish I lived closer by."
Dined on 5/17/2014
This is our neighborhood staple
for a kid friendly meal. Food is very average but is comparable to most bistro style brunches in the city. Always a buzzy energy and sometimes a bit of a wait for a table so reservations are recommended."
Dined on 5/17/2014
I chose the Odeon for Mother's Day
brunch with my mom and was very happy with the food, the wine, and the outdoor seating! It was lovely overall, low key but tasty food and friendly staff. We arrived earlier than our reservation was for, and were accommodated without any hassle. I'd go back! "

kind of an institution in tribeca.
food not extraordinary but always good. serves burgers and tuna burgers as well as main courses in the $30 range. popular and busy but you can always hear. glamorous in a friendly kind of way. completely reliable, am never disappointed here."
Dined on 5/9/2014
Odeon counters its ancient
offerings with specials of the day (listed and with prices--a plus); still, isn't it time to at least update the tried and true? The hamburger, although perfectly cooked, was so greasy that before half was eaten, the bottom bun couldn't be picked up it was so saturated with fat. Could the burger be blotted before being put on the bun? Lots of efficient staff, no doubt encouraged by the suit that walks the room. Reception station staffed by welcoming hosts/hostesses, not so easy in such a busy restaurant where there is no place for waiting diners to stand. A neighborhood favorite with good reason."

OUR FAVORITE NEIGHBORHOOD SPOT.
SERVICE, ATMOSPHERE AND FOOD LOVELY. GREAT FOR DINING WITH KIDS. GREAT FOR MEETING FRIENDS FOR BRUNCH, LUNCH, DINNER OR DRINKS. PURE NEW YORK GEM."
Dined on 5/8/2014
Always reliable for a great steak
(or steak tartare) and glass of wine. My first time I went solo at 1 am and had outstanding service. I went back this weekend in a group and had mixed service. The hostesses were warm and very apologetic about the 10-minute wait for the (reserved) table, but the servers were austere and cold, hence the three-star rating. Don't ruin such a great and reputable place by letting haughty 22-year-olds work the floor! "
Dined on 5/1/2014
The Odeon was great as always.
Charming hostess, excellent wait staff and good bistro food. Easy to accommodate children and babies. One of our favorites."
Dined on 4/27/2014
Classic french bistro. Food
choices great. Service great. Reservations honored-pretty close to scheduled time."
Dined on 4/25/2014
First tried the Odeon in 2009 and
was unimpressed. Decided to try again with visiting friends, and was equally disappointed. Restaurant has a great French brasserie vibe, but it's operated like a Cheesecake Factory. Two steak frites ordered at our table were overcooked - requested medium rare and received medium well > well. After asking the waitress for help, her attitude turned quite sour for the remainder of our meal. After the steaks took over 10 minutes to returns, I expected an apology (or a glass of wine), but no apologies from the waitress, only the floor manager. Maybe trivial, but if you are paying $36 for steak frites, the steak should be cooked properly, and the service should be better than an American chain restaurant."

love this place, tradition for us
and for MANY....! keep up the good work! cheers "

The food was excellent and the
service was friendly --we will definitely be back :)"

Great service. Not noisy so you
can talk and hear other people besides those who seats near you. Food was good. Atmosphere friendly. "
Dined on 4/14/2014
We were looking for a comfortable
yet lively spot where we could get a quick reservation for 5 people, an odd number. The Odeon was a reliable though interesting choice."
Dined on 4/13/2014
I remember when the Odeon was a
gem in a largely empty neighborhood. The area has filled in since then and many other restaurants are now available. But the Odeon remains the best. The quality and creativity of cooking have never lapsed and it has maintained its character. It is now a classic, but with the energy of a new up and coming dining spot."
Dined on 4/9/2014
Great spot, great food, great
service, what more can one diner ask for?"
Dined on 4/3/2014
Had a great dinner with friends.
Sat outside and the service was great. Very attentive staff was helpful in every way. Brought us several wine bottles, opening each to have us taste... not seen many places. I've enjoyed coming to Odeon for nearly 20 years and its been a couple since i was hear last. Was very happy to get re-acquainted with this old tried and true gem. They will be seeing more of us for sure. I thank Open Table for reminding me of this place. I was searching for a place in TriBeCa and it came up on the list of available restaurants. I probably would have overlooked it otherwise. It was like seeing an old friend that you haven't seen in a while."
Dined on 3/28/2014
Odeon was once excellent, then
declined some, and now it is better again. One dish however was not well done, the skirt (or flank?) steak. Great salmon tartar appetizer though, and good scallops."
Dined on 3/28/2014
I have been brunching and lunching
at The Odeon for over two decades and I am pleased to report it has maintained a high level of quality."
Dined on 3/26/2014
The Odeon was very
enjoyable....our waiter was very attentive and helpful and the food was terrific."
Dined on 3/15/2014
We had a 7:30 reservation and the
place was fairly busy when we arrived. We were seated quickly even though we were early for our reservation. The food was adequate to good and the service was very good. I know this is New York, but they do pack you in tight at this place and as a result, the noise level can get a bit too much at times."
